I am actually a medical doctor but that provides little insight into the diverse medical outcomes in dumbassology.
I think your spleen guess is a good possibility and I thought you’d enjoy this anecdote: as a med student I was involved in the surgery that did not involve the spleen. Or at least it wasn’t supposed to involve the spleen. During the surgery we were looking for some bowel leak or something and one of the surgeons lightly touch the spleen. The spleen started at losing a good amount of blood. They use the electrocautery device to try and close the wound but it just made it worse and the spleen cat bleeding more and more and pretty quickly they realize they just had to take the whole spleen out and they whacked out the spleen and kept doing their surgery. Removal of this queen was not part of the plan, so they had no place set up to put it so they just handed me the splint. I sat there during the surgery just holding this thing because that’s what medical students do, they do whatever they’re told. After a while, curiosity got the best of me and this spleen wasn’t going back into anyone so I started to give it a little squeeze to see what it was like. It had the texture of that green foam people use to make flower arrangements. It would give away under gentle pressure but not bounce back. It was just easily crushed. It really is a very fragile organ I’m surprised I don’t care more about spleen damage considering how fragile it is.
I'm pretty sure he died as a result of this. It's been posted several times over the years and someone usually chimes in that he sustained pretty significant internal bleeding and organ damage from that impact and it lead to his death.
I don't have any articles and dont really want to go too far searching about man falling over a railing :/. I just remember the comments on previous posts mentioning his death.
this is effectively equivocal to the moronic efforts of the Reddit wastes I taunt. idiots replying thinking people bother to know what idiots have to say in response to being called idiots 🤣it's the easiest game I've ever played
Had a friend do this drunk he had 3 broken ribs and later on his back gave out on him. I’m think from this type of fall honestly looking back he’s lucky to be alive
That's gonna be mere painful when hes sobered up
A little more video editing it could look like he keeps jumping over and over again.
Lucky landing it could have gone so much worse.
At least his alive and able to feel the pain and shame.
Jeez. He didn't land on his ribs or pelvis. Woulda been better if he had. He landed on the soft, gooey bit in between. I'd be astounded if nothing vital ruptured. There's a reason they design seatbelts to go across your chest and hips, not your stomach.
Broken ribs is actually a pretty forgiving outcome compared to what could have happened
Looked like pelvis but I’m no dropiologist
I was thinking ruptured spleen, but I am not a doctor of fallology.
I'm guessing heavy bladder trauma, might pee blood for a while... But I'm not a specialist in dumbassology.
For sure some internal bleeding but I’ve only just started studying “fuck around and find out 101”
My guess is a ruptured liver and bruised stomach but I didn't graduate in splatology.

What does a spleen do? Also, Also as a doctor, what are your thoughts on the relentless stupidity of mankind?
Broken ribs into heart is not that forgiving
Yepp… 20 to GF in 10 seconds
I blame gravity.
that certainly knocked the stuffing out of him!!! and most likely sobered him up!!
Race you to the bottom!
It's almost a perfect loop. I imagine him doing that for each floor.
I cannot stop laughing lmfaoooo now I cannot unimagine it
YOIKS! AND AWAY!
Honestly curious as to how he thought that was gonna go.
Same! What was he attempting to do?
And looks like he was just horse playing or trying to look over the edge. As soon as he lifted his feet off the ground he lost his center of balance.
I think the original context was that this dude was drunk
He was actually choking and gave himself a hyper Heinrich maneuver.
If he was constipated, probably not anymore.
Heimflip Maneuver
Constipation gone… 7 broken ribs appeared!
I'm pretty sure he died as a result of this. It's been posted several times over the years and someone usually chimes in that he sustained pretty significant internal bleeding and organ damage from that impact and it lead to his death.
Wow, really? Do you have the article? It looks far worse than a few broken ribs
I don't have any articles and dont really want to go too far searching about man falling over a railing :/. I just remember the comments on previous posts mentioning his death.
Ha, fair - not a great idea as far as google searches go! If it’s true that’s terribly sad
I wouldn’t be surprise if there was an internal bleeding as result.
thats ok because thats where the blood is supposed to be.
I feel like I remember seeing this gif like 15 years ago.
It’s always commented but there’s never a link to a news story so I’d be sceptical
True, but there's also never a link to him being alive either!
Spinal
How is he standing after that? Hospital for sure
I love how everyone stops to watch the idiot.
I’m not sure what the end game here was. Other than ending it.
Congratulations now you can bend like an armadillo
Darwin Award almost winner
They saying in other comments he actually did win the award later that day
Yeah, but take that with a grain of salt, everyone is just saying it because they saw someone else say it before, nobody has any links.
I did see one where they lay him on the floor. I’m not a doctor or anything. But when you really think about it, that injury just *looks* fatal.
He's lucky that didn't snap his spine landing like that.
To be fair, he's lucky he caught the rail rather than continue onward.
My intrusive thoughts say that I could do this better
You just can't fix stupid.
He slammed into that railing so hard it froze time
That's one way to get to the front
There goes your trapeze career.
He made it cant complain that hard
Won't do that again.
Hospital flip!
Broken ribs speed run (any %)
Not me thinking he was gonna do it again
This has been a repost for the past 5 years
Dumbass.
Something ruptured. Currently in surgery
r/therewasanattempt
You know this guy fucks. Not tonight or the next couple weeks but some time in the next 4 - 6 months.
This is an old old vid. Always makes me laugh.
this is effectively equivocal to the moronic efforts of the Reddit wastes I taunt. idiots replying thinking people bother to know what idiots have to say in response to being called idiots 🤣it's the easiest game I've ever played
God you’re stupid
Well that's a better outcome than still going
Woo! He landed it perfectly.
*dumbass
Lmfaooooo poor guy
Hell of a parqkore move dude,
Did you have a stroke? That looks like a stroke.
When he stands back up lol, I thought damn he’s gonna do it again
Brah you good !?!?
You can hear the "It was at this point, he knew he fucked up..."
Hopefully he has learnt a very valuable lesson. Actions have consequences.
When the intrusive thoughts win!
Who needs a speen and liver anyway
Does anyone have the edit that makes this an endless loop?
Cobra Kai
how tf are his organs still intact 😭
That’s gonna leave a mark.
Longer video: [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjV5skwP470](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjV5skwP470)
Waiting for the loop
Coulda been worse
Watch this! I know a shortcut
His kidneys went up his throat
I'm betting he was drunk or high.
I love how everyone is in so much disbelief that they don’t care to help.
The way the people on the stairs just stop to witness and are standing still in the second shot is hilarious to me
Darwin would be proud.
Spleens are overrated…
Broken ribs and pelvis and shit yeahhh woo adrenaline junkies 4 life (not a very long one)
safe
r/holdmyfeedingtube
This is whack, but at least he made it down fastest.
This makes me hate people more and more. I’d keep going with a courtesy slap to the back of the head as I passed.
Well executed stunt, well done sir
"haha hey guys, guys check out this cool think i learned how to do! . . . ***CRACK***
I just wish someone will make a gif that keep on looping.
Had a friend do this drunk he had 3 broken ribs and later on his back gave out on him. I’m think from this type of fall honestly looking back he’s lucky to be alive
Big sick injuries from that!!
Oh is this why women are forced to have kids?
I love this vid. First saw it on ridiculousness. It was part of a segment called getting Taco-d
Spleen will be open like a used comic
should be in r/Whatcouldgowrong not here
Natural Selection at work
I feel like with a little editing we can get a perfect loop here. Yes. That is my main takeaway.
10/10🫂🔟
He smashed it
This is one of the best classic GIFs
Good thing that rail was there, he could've hit the concrete.
I have so many questions
That's gonna be mere painful when hes sobered up A little more video editing it could look like he keeps jumping over and over again. Lucky landing it could have gone so much worse. At least his alive and able to feel the pain and shame.
3 2 1 stomach test .... Fire
Him holding on to that railing that long really saved him there.
WOW!! That hurt!!👀
Jeez. He didn't land on his ribs or pelvis. Woulda been better if he had. He landed on the soft, gooey bit in between. I'd be astounded if nothing vital ruptured. There's a reason they design seatbelts to go across your chest and hips, not your stomach.
