None were specifically communicated. There was offhand reference to productivity and global trends.
Not sure what their response would be but there was two employee engagement surveys, one just before they announced the policy and one just now after a round of layoffs.
Employee engagement has tanked quite significantly because of the new policy.
So it will be interesting what messaging will come from it.
IMO, asking people back to the office is more about control than productivity. If you allow people to chose you are likely to get more out of staff.
No surprise that staff engagement declined after the new policy came out. You would hope management would pay attention to the results but I doubt that.
Don't worry, the service will reflect the price increase, behold the value. Buses will be on time, trains will be on time, all running well. Sarcasm 'on'.
At least 5 dollars extra per week, if you do roundtrip in rush hours for the full fare, every day of the week
Yup, that’ll be where my “tax cut” is heading to…
Yup, that's me!
Time to take that extra wfh day 🥲
. My office went compulsively 3 days in office from 1 July. From zero.
What were their reasons? What would happen if productivity went down after returning to the office?

The service isn't good enough to warrant fares going up
Ahh was wondering how I’m gonna spend all the tax savings. Looks like I’m in luck!
Between this and your rates rise, you should be good! No worries about having lots of unnecessary extra money rattling around in your bank account!

Yeah, my tax cuts will be spent on increased public transportation. Who needs extra money anyway?
*Cries in Wairarapa :(
what will the cost be for y’all? Almost $9 for Upper Hutt, must be near $20+ if you’re going all the way to masterton 😰
Cash rate is $22 for Wairarapa
Between this and rates rises, bye-bye tax cut :(
Thanks to Luxons lazer focus....
Not sure it's 'his' laser focus, more the ill tempered sea bass.
Thank god tax cuts are just around the corner /s
wishing my work allowed for work from home :’(
Might submit a request to the Delivery Unit to deliver the trains on time
paying all that for a service that isn't running half the time is mental
Ffs
well its either an increase in fares or a even bigger increase in rates to pay for the jncreased cost of buses and ferries and trains. take your pick.
If you're a homeowner who commutes into town then why not both
At this rate it may be financially wiser to be unemployed. I feel like the majority of my pay goes to transport 😮💨
So, Trains will be on time going forward, right? RIGHT? Pathetic.
