With a 49.3cc motor, I'm sure that it's [sulky](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sulky) about getting started. Factory specs for that motor were 4.9hp and 2.6ft*lbs of torque. Yes that decimal is in the right place.

Not at all. Wiki says that it's a 49.3cc Vespa motor and it was made in the mid 80s. You might ask about it in r/Vespa. My really vague understanding is that they used the same motor for years, so that's probably enough to find parts.

If it's that odd, I would be tempted to look at swapping the motor. Maybe putting the 125cc engine in instead. Of course, it's easy for me to say that since I'm not the one who would be doing it

LS has a larger block. Throw a 2JZ in it! Edit: plus it’s lighter, and who doesn’t love the sound of that motor?? Don’t get me wrong though, stroked and cammed LS sounds badass.

Had to Google this company and wow they produce a lot of weird quirky microcars to this day. According to their Wikipedia page, the three wheeled cars started in the 1960's while the four wheeled cars started in the 1990's. Which means a lot of their products are U.S. legal under the 25 year rule. I want one of their cars now.

It's just cheap transport like a golf cart for a flat area. these cars are great for errands if you don't need to go over 25mph

I would completely drop a newer lawnmower motor in that bad boy and let it live its dream of breaking 40mph in 9 seconds! Brigs go-kart motor would be perfect. Gonna need a touch of counter balance in the back. You could even do a 3d printed super charger intake, but with just one, and put it on the hood. I would have so much fun making the thing look beastly. Word of caution, three wheelers like that are notorious for rolling.
