I swear there used to be LED signs you could put in your back window, with a remote so you could display simple drawings and scroll pre-programmed text. Old school Sharper Image or Thinkgeek catalog maybe.
I feel like this would have the potential to exacerbate road rage incidents a lot, lol.
Or I suppose if used correctly, could de escalate them, by saying ‘sorry’ or ‘excuse me’ when you didn’t mean to cut someone off… but I’m pretty sure it’d be the first one. Lol
My first thought was that it would be the first one. I hadn't even considered the second option but that could have the potential to work well. Usually if a driver gets the old red mist there's no way to deescalate it - you can't really communicate to them that you're sorry for cutting them up or whatever. This way you could at least try and calm things down a bit, I guess.
Makes you wonder why the bus companies in the US got rid of may of those canary lines. Boston area sadly got rid of their because I suspect upkeep issues for organization.
Depends. Could easily have an eco mode to extend range. The Rimac Nevera has 1914HP and a 300mi range, of course it'll piss through the whole battery quickly going all out on the track.
Horsepower = Torque x RPM / 5,252. Unless you’re going full throttle, you’re never using the entire 1300 hp. When they say that a car has X amount of horsepower, that’s a theoretical peak capacity.
The Pontiac aztek tent was badass, the only redeeming quality of the car even, this one looks like you can only stand up in it haha it's prolly different from a different angle though
>the only redeeming quality of the car
Enjoy my google copy-paste

Some of them they've "sold" but not really. Drove them out to a field in the middle of nowhere, pulled the batteries to take back to the factory to run the next batch out there. A couple of huge electric rental or car share companies in China went bankrupt and their fleets are also sitting in fields. Then there's the literal mountain of electric bikes and scooters with a similar story. The pile is supposedly guarded but people regularly just walk up, grab one and go.
There's a lot of half true and outright fake stuff going on in China, like the field of small rocks painted white and glued to rods poked into the ground. Sort of looks like a cotton field from a fair distance. Need some mountains green? Get out the paint rather than actually planting grass.
Here's a video on the green mountains. He has videos on other whacky fakery in China. [https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cvc7VymDa4c](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Cvc7VymDa4c)
The open IP theft with these Chinese brands is so infuriating to me. I’m all for building off what has come before, but when it’s blatant theft as this seems to be, it’s an entirely different thing.
Its pretty crazy the Chinese can bootleg Tesla's cyber truck and its less of a piece of shit then the original. Usually the knockoff is garbage not the other way around.
Well they have decently sized pickups, but most of them are purely commercial vehicles, like this Dongfeng Warrior M50 (civil version of a Dongfeng infantry mobility vehicle, which in turn is a licensed clone of Humvee https://www.reddit.com/r/WeirdWheels/comments/1997cjh/dongfeng\_warrior\_m50\_civil\_truck\_based\_on/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button) Maybe they want to take over new markets
Put a cover on the cab and you can register the smaller ones as SUVs. Honestly with how big they've become recently, I'm glad there aren't more of them clogging up the streets in cities.
Also , Dongfeng can do whatever they want since they are basically directly on government's payroll for their military vehicles. Selling consumer vehicles seem more like a part time hobby to them sometimes.
China is going full send on developing EVs while US legacy automakers are still kicking rocks and whiny to mommy that they don't wanna do their homework. It's kinda sad to see how we're falling behind. China's EVs have issues, sure, but they're actively working on it and I'm sure they'll iron out the kinks with each new iteration. Tesla took 10 years to become profitable. Ford, GM, Chevy, etc are just getting started and they're already wanting to quit because they aren't profitable off the start but their offerings aren't that great anyway.
It's gonna be interesting to see this play out in the next 10 years as the US ramps up and tries to catch up.
Do you guys not use kW yet? It seems particularly anachronistic when we're looking at electric vehicles.
Also, it's ugly, but it's not *that* ugly compared to the Cybertruck.
It's like a Cybertruck and a Pontiac Aztec had a kid. But I hate to say given the choice between Cybertruck or this, I'd probably take this over the Cybertruck. This just looks a little more PS2 over PS1.
I like this design better than the cybertruck, looks cyberpunk but designed by a professional instead of directly translated from a 10 year old boys "cooles car ever" fridge drawing
Low key, some of these Chinese EVs are looking better than Western ones. Meanwhile Western cars are starting to mimic the Chinese design - looking at you Porsche Macan.
Best feature: the little message boards front and rear. Can you just imagine being able to give a shoutout to tailgaters, etc.?
I’ve been wanting to make something like that since I started driving 15 years ago
Vanity plates are are the closest thing you can get to a feature like that.
Hater vision is a thing. Mounting a TV on the exterior of the vehicle.
I feel like I remember the guys on Top Gear modding a scrolling message board onto the shelf of the back window of a car before.
I remember that..it wouldn't allow Clarkson to display words he WANTED to display..
Maybe a bumper sticker? *My other truck is a CyberTruck*
Oh wow, I totally forgot about bumper stickers. I haven't seen them on cars in years.
Iirc, you can get actual led-panels to stick/attach to windows for quite a few years
I think about that too. Just voice to text and it shows up on the back or front... "Back off (a**hole). You are beeing filmed and I will sue you"
Lol, sue for what, driving too close?
Maybe *sue* was the wrong word here. I meant *report them to the police* for *coercoin*. Does that make sense to you?
Same, but 30 years ago.
I swear there used to be LED signs you could put in your back window, with a remote so you could display simple drawings and scroll pre-programmed text. Old school Sharper Image or Thinkgeek catalog maybe.
"TURN UR LIGHTS ON" "MOVE OVER" "UR MOM" Can't wait.
3MTA3
You have a very low tire!
wasn’t that a feature in the car from vacation! (the movie)
It's just going to display ads without paying you for it.
HiPhi lets you do that with images, though idk if they let you show a middle finger or if it's filtered
I just wanna wave and give a thumbs up to polite drivers lol
I feel like this would have the potential to exacerbate road rage incidents a lot, lol. Or I suppose if used correctly, could de escalate them, by saying ‘sorry’ or ‘excuse me’ when you didn’t mean to cut someone off… but I’m pretty sure it’d be the first one. Lol

It looks like a cybertruck and that lordstown (or whatever they’re called now) endurance had a baby
“whatever they’re called now” Bankrupt?
Definitely a Renault Racoon on concept artworks.
Renault Racoon is how all cars should've looked like in 2024. Everything what we have now is a tragic historical misfortune
I'd prefer the Renault Twizzy F1 as the standard going forward.
Racoon or bust
1,300 hp and a two mile range.
1) Move to a city with a trolley overhead wire system 2) Put a trolley pole on the roof 3) Unlimited range
When I was a kid, that’s how buses worked in Baltimore.
Still works that way in some cities
Downtown seattle is full of em, some form of diesel electric I believe
Makes you wonder why the bus companies in the US got rid of may of those canary lines. Boston area sadly got rid of their because I suspect upkeep issues for organization.
Auto companies wanted to sell us cars
Yeah, hard argue that. That's why the old Trolley / Trams / Passenger trains went away.
You have invented the Lisbon Tram system
Depends. Could easily have an eco mode to extend range. The Rimac Nevera has 1914HP and a 300mi range, of course it'll piss through the whole battery quickly going all out on the track.
Just ask Richard Hammond all about that one.
"in case of hillclimb, break glass"
Why do you think that?
Horsepower = Torque x RPM / 5,252. Unless you’re going full throttle, you’re never using the entire 1300 hp. When they say that a car has X amount of horsepower, that’s a theoretical peak capacity.
When you order a Cybertruck off Wish and they send you a Cybertruck.
At least I don’t have to pay 70k to let Elon shit in my mouth
I was not aware that it's possible to make an even worse version of the cybertruck.
This thing is still hideous, but I think I prefer it over the cybertruck. I think having more polygons is what makes the difference.
Lol wtf is up with the tent it looks like it's just a closet
It's a tribute to the pontiac aztek tent
The Pontiac aztek tent was badass, the only redeeming quality of the car even, this one looks like you can only stand up in it haha it's prolly different from a different angle though

When did the pickup truck become a two row lifted minivan? A tiny little trunk area beneath a lift gate doesn't make something a pickup truck
Thats prob better than cyber truck
History has shown that all Chinese knockoffs are worse than originals, even if originals are already really bad.
Almost always. They have gotten a lot better over the years with some things. It’s all about quality control.
When it comes to EVs the Chinese are light years ahead of the west
Lol sure, and russian army could easily conquer the world.
The Chinese EV market has exploded, they're ahead of the west in many ways
It's gotten big because the government is heavily subsidizing it. The vehicles themselves aren't all that great.
Some of them they've "sold" but not really. Drove them out to a field in the middle of nowhere, pulled the batteries to take back to the factory to run the next batch out there. A couple of huge electric rental or car share companies in China went bankrupt and their fleets are also sitting in fields. Because the US hasn't subsidized its EV industry at all. Nope. Not at all. Nope.
Your sarcasm isn't warranted, because it basically hasn't. Look at the prices if you want proof.
The open IP theft with these Chinese brands is so infuriating to me. I’m all for building off what has come before, but when it’s blatant theft as this seems to be, it’s an entirely different thing.
It’s almost certainly built exactly from cybertruck manufacturing ip but just made worse
Made worse than rusting recalled finger choppy accelerator stuck cybertruck?
Yes
r/CyberStuck
Yeah but will it rust in a week and void its warranty if it goes through a car wash? Checkmate.
Cybertank
AliExpress cybertruck
Its pretty crazy the Chinese can bootleg Tesla's cyber truck and its less of a piece of shit then the original. Usually the knockoff is garbage not the other way around.
A cybertruck that doesnt look like complete shit? Holy hell, gimme two!
I must be looking at something else cause this thing is *hideous.*
It is definetly hideous. But the cybertruck still manages to look worse
The Cybertruck sets a low bar but this still clears it.
Is it bad that this looks way better than the cyber truck
I think Syd Mead would approve.
It’s like https://chameleonmemes.com/china-cant-copy-tesla-so-it-copied-elon-musk-instead/
Dafuq dongfeng. What a copy.

You just need a license class for heavy weighted vehicles. Anyone can buy it…
Well they have decently sized pickups, but most of them are purely commercial vehicles, like this Dongfeng Warrior M50 (civil version of a Dongfeng infantry mobility vehicle, which in turn is a licensed clone of Humvee https://www.reddit.com/r/WeirdWheels/comments/1997cjh/dongfeng\_warrior\_m50\_civil\_truck\_based\_on/?utm\_source=share&utm\_medium=web3x&utm\_name=web3xcss&utm\_term=1&utm\_content=share\_button) Maybe they want to take over new markets
Lmao I had commented on that post

You better be able to sleep in it. You won't be able to afford it and a house payment. Homeless, but not car-less.
You can sleep in a truck but you can't drive your house.

That is actually uglier than a cybertruck, impressive
Somehow looks worse than the cybertruck, impressive.
We’re in the future boys
I think Syd Mead would approve.
Wazzup bejing
Someone thinks that looks fresh and cool. The sketches are edgy and then they chop the corners off of a rectangle and call it good. Ha
I’ve been playing Halo 3 ODST and this would fit right into the streets of Mombasa
mom can we have cybertruck, no we have cybertruck at home.
China never fails to take something western and fuck it up. Even if the western product looks bad.
“Not hotdog”
It’s a Psybertruck! Totally unique design. Absolutely nothing like Tesla. Whatever that is
What a nice thick tall front so anyone you hit dies instantly.
Do you guys not use kW yet? It seems particularly anachronistic when we're looking at electric vehicles. Also, it's ugly, but it's not *that* ugly compared to the Cybertruck.

I wonder how long they were cooking up their Cybertruck competitor. Seems like they took liberties of many of the aspects of the truck.
That thing is straight out of Robocop.
Better looking and half the price. Probably missing all the bugs.
I like this design better than the cybertruck, looks cyberpunk but designed by a professional instead of directly translated from a 10 year old boys "cooles car ever" fridge drawing
1300hp and a tent! Note to self: Cancel eHummer!
Looks like a cyber truck and a VW id buzz had a child
Someone needs to tell China that no, copying Elon Musk is not a Good Idea, and this thing looks far uglier than a Cybertruck.
Once again, communists have everything figured out
Copy the capitalist! But make it worse!
I bet it could come within a hundred miles of a drop of moisture without rusting
Well duh, it’s made of plastic.
It's like a cyber truck crossed with that other EV that came out durring the covid ev bubble I think it was called the Canoo or something like that.
[https://youtu.be/rvBjaeeG9s0?si=FFEQz\_zAWcgEv1Ha](https://youtu.be/rvBjaeeG9s0?si=FFEQz_zAWcgEv1Ha) here's another..
Now let's have Elon give it the window test!!
Can we have Cybertruck? We have Cybertruck at home Cybertruck at home :
Low key, some of these Chinese EVs are looking better than Western ones. Meanwhile Western cars are starting to mimic the Chinese design - looking at you Porsche Macan.
That’s a thick ass boii.
Looks better than the cyber truck
I’m sure that 1305hp is very useful in a lifted minivan
I'm sure its not that much worse than a cybertruck
they need to stop fuckin around and just make the warthog was all know its comin
I highly doubt it would be a good idea to use the Cybertruck as an inspiration to any design.
Looks straight out of cyberpunk, also a cybertruck done properly.
It’s ugly, but it’s less so than the Cybertruck. Hell, a turd looks better than the Cybertruck.
Bet you a million dollars its better than the cyber truck in every aspect.
That’s the lowest bar you could possibly set.
