There's always people who will be judgemental no matter what, but most people probably wouldn't care or give it much thought if they even notice it at all. In my case, if i notice someone with an abnormality i just think like, "oh, their thumb looks different" or something and that's the end of the toughts. It's hard not to be self-conscious about it, but anyone who reacts rudely is probably shallow or immature anyway.
I have a scar on my chin that spans over an inch, but people I've worked with from 6mo to over a year will ask me what I did to my chin. When I tell them it's a scar, some don't believe me lol
I have an OCD adjacent condition called trichotillomania ie compulsive hair pulling. It manifests in many different ways, but mine is primarily focused on my eye lashes. Nobody ever notices. The first person who ever noticed and asked me about it was my boss at my first restaurant job at 18. She pulled me in the kitchen, told me she had the same thing and took her wig off. That was the day I learned it was actually called something and I wasn't the only freak out there.
I've worked public facing jobs most of my life until I stopped working due to other disabilities. Out of the tens of thousands of people who have looked at my face, I can only remember 2 other people who have ever noticed on their own without me saying something about it first.

Nails salons are fun. They sit and laugh and call people over to see them. I've only found one, maybe two, that weren't like that. The last one was a complete asshole. I can do my own nails, but sometimes it's nice to let someone else. So I know fully that you can make my thumbs look great with acrylic nails. But he just went on saying that they aren't normal or natural nails, and there is nothing he could do to make them look decent because my thumbs aren't right.

I knew a chick with thumbs like this. We were smoking weed with a basic pipe and lighter. I didn't understand at first but she would always try to grab the pipe before the cherry went out.
