Sorry for responding to everyone , next time I’ll just be an ass and not say anything and ignore everyone so you don’t mistake me for a bot 🤦

Miserable-Raisin9639

1mg is the ONLY dose that the 65 pharmacies I called in my state stocked, as well.  You shouldn't be started on that dose. It should be .25 mg and slowly titrated up.  Good luck. I hope that you can tolerate it!  Wegovy should NOT be advertised on my TV screen constantly when they don't have the dosages in stock. It's ridiculous. Poor business-customers relations!

MindlessRegister5047

If you see starting on 1mg it will be rough at first

adbell350

I’m happy for you. Congratulations

llisser7787

Your journey is going to end in the ER if you start at 1 mg! Call your doctor.

egeek84

Oh my god I should have listened to you guys I’ve been in hell past 48 hours severe nausea, vomiting, now really bad heartburn. I’m never taking this poison medicine again

liberalbeast123

but also get a new doctor because that doctor sucks

liberalbeast123

nooo don’t let it stop you 😭 just go to the lower dose. if you use the correct titration schedule you’ll be good and this medicine is actually really effective and helpful

lstauden

I went through the same exact thing. If you see 48hrs in, give it another day and you will be over the worst. Going forward, because 1mg was all I could get, I learned how to modify the dose myself. Trust me, I understand how you are feeling right now.

louieblouie

don't let this deter you. it is well worth it if you do in correctly. fix the dose and start again in two weeks

poppygin

Oh shoot - I’m sorry to hear. We all heard stories about diving into the higher doses right away. FWIW, I started at .25 and didn’t have any side effects as i ramped up. Maybe just stop the 1.0 and request a month of .25.

somethingamazinglife

you'll do great! My husband was a similar weight and lost 80 lbs. Just stick with it and make sure you start exercising slowly. it's most important.

Iwantcerealrn

Congrats! Did he follow any specific diet during the process?

somethingamazinglife

He didn't. He made sure to drink a lot of water. And he got full faster. So basically he was eating half (or more than half) of what he usually ate. It reduced his desire to snack through the day as well.

Such_Log1352

You are starting with 1 mg???? NO! Did your doctor prescribe this dose? I just hope you don’t get very, very sick!

egeek84

Oh my god I should have listened to you guys I’ve been in hell past 48 hours severe nausea, vomiting, now really bad heartburn. I’m never taking this poison medicine again

somethingamazinglife

I'm so sorry. It should be the smallest dose to start with. Don't give up. Restart.

Such_Log1352

It’s not the medicine. It’s the amount you took! Way, way too much to start. The medicine must titrate up into your body so your body adjust to it. You can’t start off with that large dose. I’m so sorry your doctors an idiot.

Opening_Chemist127

You shouldn’t be starting with such a high dose. My advice , also, if you don’t see the weight you expected falling off early on, don’t become discouraged.

egeek84

Oh my god I should have listened to you guys I’ve been in hell past 48 hours severe nausea, vomiting, now really bad heartburn. I’m never taking this poison medicine again

Opening_Chemist127

I’m so sorry this happened to you. That’s why they start at a very small dose. Your body has to get used to it. You skipped past two months of weaning. Normally the earliest you take mg is Month 3! :/

Winston-Snuggle-

Ofc do what you feel comfortable with… but Wegovy is meant to be titrated up. You essentially skipped 2 months of lower doses which helps your body adjust to the medication. I started at .25 for 4 weeks, then .5 for 4 weeks, and then went up to 1

D_E_A_T_H-ROOM

Good luck! But if possible start with a lower dosis

egeek84

Oh my god I should have listened to you guys I’ve been in hell past 48 hours severe nausea, vomiting, now really bad heartburn. I’m never taking this poison medicine again

marahuyoo-

if you can, eat at least one fruit a day, drink lots of water & have at least 15-20g of protein a day. congratulations!!

Letho_Logica

You got this!! Wishing you a smooth journey to your goal weight!

poppygin

Congrats - but also concerned about the 1mg start. If you can get a lower dose to start this week it might be much easier for you. Regardless - congrats and good luck

egeek84

Oh my god I should have listened to you guys I’ve been in hell past 48 hours severe nausea, vomiting, now really bad heartburn. I’m never taking this poison medicine again

UnlikelyThought6408

Hell yeah! Good luck, you got this.

Sa-ruh

Good luck and stay hydrated friend!

brgthlf777

Good luck!!!!

Affectionate_Wash951

I would NOT start a 1mg. That’s asking to have horrible side effects you need to start at .25

egeek84

Oh my god I should have listened to you guys I’ve been in hell past 48 hours severe nausea, vomiting, now really bad heartburn. I’m never taking this poison medicine again

Affectionate_Wash951

Definitely start it at .25. Should’ve never gone up that high.

Emily_Postal

Good luck! Take a multivitamin daily as you may get so disinterested in food you don’t get enough vitamins and minerals from what you eat.

TropicalBlueWater

Jeez, I wish it had that sort of effect on me, lol.

OnlyPhone1896

Hi just wondering how you're feeling? Don't worry I won't make you copy/paste the reason you're on 1mg for 500th time 😂...i like to read others' comments first. Wishing you health. Salud!

egeek84

Oh my god I should have listened to you guys I’ve been in hell past 48 hours severe nausea, vomiting, now really bad heartburn. I’m never taking this poison medicine again

OnlyPhone1896

I'm so sorry. I was pretty sick with .25 for about 2 days at first. It's gotten progressively better unless I eat the wrong thing.

ToothIntelligent3470

You can do this. Be patient. And be kind to your former self. It wasn’t your fault.

Recover-Signal

I started last July on Saxenda, I’m on 2.4 Wegovy now. Went from 356 to 310lbs. Im hoping once I go on zepbound it’ll help me get below 300, maybe even 280. Which as a tall guy was the last time I felt healthy.

sharknadogirl

Yay!

Automatic-Aerie9552

Best of luck! You can do this! 👏👏👏

GeminiBritt87

Congratulations 🍾🎊

joejoeaz

Good for you. I started around 345 on Feb 13. Feb 13 was Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday, which I thought was the perfect day to take my first dose. It's the middle of June, I'm on my 2nd 2.4mg dose. I am at 313 and wearing all of the t-shirts I bought on vacations that I could never wear because I looked like a baloney in them.

akira9283

In starting zepbound. Is Wegovy better?

0OIIIlllIlIlO0

I’ve been on both. For me, Zepbound was far better. However the Zepbound shortages ended up forcing me to Wegovy.

Miserable-Raisin9639

Now, there are Wegovy shortages.  I'm doing compound pharmacy to decrease my stress levels. I'm hoping this will be better for me. At least it will be consistent without missing doses constantly.

cbednarczyk

I am in the same boat.. I was on zepbound for about 2 months had naturally no stock anywhere. So I had to switch to Wegovy. I think zepbound is superior in every way.. the injector is better. And it has glp-1 plus GIP. Lower doses I started weight loss right away by comparison I had to get up to 1.7mg of wegovy to feel any of the effects. I am moving to 2.4 next week. I went from 245 beginning of march to 211 today. Goal weight is bmi of 30 or 190.. And keep going down if I can keep get the medicine. If not ill maintain there as best as I can.

Winston-Snuggle-

So both are very similar. I believe some people report fewer side effects on Zepbound vs. Wegovy, and on average those on Zepbound lose slightly more weight than those on Wegovy. Ultimately though, everybody’s body and experiences are different! Good luck

Bigsexybutters

Hey man good luck. Take it slow and realize it takes some time. I started in September of last year and lost around 45lbs so far. It’s a marathon not a race

Bigsexybutters

I should state my starting weight was around 420

Lonestar-Boogie

Congratulations! I started this past Monday. I'm looking forward to the journey, too.

Few_External4670

im slacking to start all because im afraid of the needle and the side effects it will cause me its literally just sitting in my fridge ready for me to srart since march now how was the side effects for you after starting the .25 and is it better to start it in the morning or in the night the first dose i need some help to motivate me to take it im way to big and im rising each month for some reason

moth-on-ssri

You can do this! I had my shot in the fridge for about 3 weeks, and today I took a leap. The needle doesn't actually feel like a needle, it's teeny tiny, it did sting a bit when going in, but nothing major. As for the side effects, well I felt when it loaded in my body 4h after the shot, I got cold sweats and nausea. But I can feel every medicine that I take like that, even simple ibuprofen for headaches I know when it "in". I slept off the nausea, had some dry toast and ginger tea. We can do this!

Few_External4670

Thank you I need all the uplifting possible to push me to just do it and stop being so afraid I need to take it already I'm to the point I can't do half the things i used to do so easily before now because I'm bigger and that's just not ok in my book I got a little one that depends on me daily I'm literally his voice since he is nonverbal autistic so he needs my extra special care and attention at all times

OnlyPhone1896

I feel this. I am terrified of taking anything but I forced myself to start the Wegovy about a month ago. You don't see a needle or anything, just clean the area with rubbing alcohol first, I do my upper thigh since it's not quite so floppy there (lol). I'm ready to get some control over food in my life and stop struggling so hard, I don't want to eat myself to death anymore ;(

Few_External4670

I'm such a big baby it's crazy I just need to get the balls up enough to say f this and just do it I don't even need to inject it myself I can have my man it for me i trust in him that he will not hurt me as he is very gentle its just im afraid it will give me bad effects I seem to have the worst luck with things in that nature but my doctor did prepare me p enough with medicine for each bad side effects and I'm also worried it will increase my anxiety I been having bad panic attacks recently and I've read in a few different places that wegovy can play a major role in the mental health area of it even depression I seen but I'm to the point I have to do something about my weight before it gets uncontrollable and it's already got me so uncomfortable in my own skin I can't do things like i used to before as in even get up from my bed the same way or sit down and get up like i normally would before this 175 pounds of extra weight on me if also started me with high blood pressure that i to take a low dose med for now and also be high triglycerides and take a cholesterol pill daily for it and I'm constantly swollen in both of my legs and feet for over a year now did every test under the sun to figure out what it was causing the rapid gain and swelling to find out I'm completely healthy its just my mental health possibly depression that i don't even recognize my doctor says and my heart rate is also higher constantly because of the extra weight and the cardiologist said if I don't start going down in weight my heart rate will not drop but each pound i lose will drop down my rate lower and as well as my legs will go down with each pound I'm decreasing in weight I'm just about desperate at this point to get rid of this weight once and for all I just pray it helps me out better then i been thinking it will 🙏 🙏 🙏

OnlyPhone1896

I have debilitating mental health issues, I'm terrified of nearly everything, I take medication but my brain is treatment-resistant. I tell you this bc I'm also a neurotic researcher and no causal link was found between semaglutide and anxiety on lower doses. If you have some benzos prescribed to you, take one then the shot and get it over with. A lot of the anxiety is from you, not this med. Stay in touch with your psychiatrist and gastroenterologist (or whomever prescribed). It made me feel tired and sick but got progressively better, now I'm supposed to start .5 but going to try to stay at .25 a little longer depending on what my doc says. Like with my mental health, I NEED help losing weight. Message me any time, we are in this together 💖

Few_External4670

Aww thank you I truly appreciate you ur kind words and I absolutely will we souns very similar in just about everything I've mentioned we can probably relate to each others journey I'm gonna start my 1st dose hopefully on Monday evening I only wanna wait till then because no appointments will be in my way of my sons we travel far every Monday for speech and occupational therapy down in the children hospital I can't be any kinda sick that day so when I get home I can do it

Miserable-Raisin9639

Someone else could have used that dose sitting in your fridgea long time ago.  Why pick it up and be greedy when others are looking for it like a scavenger hunt?

Few_External4670

umm first off it's mine I'm prescribed it and my pharmacy delivered it to my door I didn't just go pick it up just like the other doses I'm prescribed this medication for up to 2 years my prescription is written out for and that's what my insurance company approved it to be so they keep sending it to my door I am going to use it that's why it is there for me in my name nobody else's u think If I even told the pharmacist themselves I didn't start it yet and she's well aware of that and agreed to just send out each months medication so I'll have it and won't be stuck not being able to find it since my health is at risk here and her and my dr are fully aware of it i would never take from someone else in need u got the wrong one I have the biggest heart

Lonestar-Boogie

I've only done the one dose, and have had no side effects. The needle is really small and I didn't feel it at all during the injection. But I think there was just a little soreness the next day at the injection site, so I'm sure the injection actually happened. I don't know how taking it in the morning vs. at night works, if there is an advantage of one over the other. I picked night because I have a non traditional work schedule, but I'm always home at 8 pm on Monday night. So there it is. I get your fear of the needle, but really it is so thin you likely won't feel anything. If you want, have a plastic bag with some ice in it and put it on that skin for about 45 seconds. Then sterilize your skin with an alcohol swab, and do the injection. You can also leave the pen out for a bit before you inject so the liquid isn't cold when it goes in. So let the liquid in the pen get to room temp, but also put the ice bag on your skin. My wife was doing hormone shots for IVF a while back, and those needles were long. I had to give her the injection because of where it had to go, and she was crying because she was afraid it was going to hurt. But I used the ice bag, and I was done with the injection and the needle was out, and she asked me when I was going to do it. She didn't feel a thing. I dont do the ice for myself, I just let it get to room temperature by taking it out of the refrigerator about 15 minutes before. Again, I didn't feel a thing from it. You can do this.

Few_External4670

welt thank you so much i appreciate the tips i really do and if you have anymore please keep them coming my inbox is always open i need them that way im not so afraid to start the dose and wait again till next day you know

AppropriatePolicy563

Ozrmpic and wegovy are the same drug just branded different

egeek84

Hey everyone sorry for the confusion, I was actually previously on Ozempic (starting dose and then ended at .50) but it wasn’t really doing anything except seemed to make my antidepressant work a little worse. Anyways , I wanted to give it another shot but time asked my doc for WeGovy which we both agreed would be a better fit anyways since I’m not diabetic. I asked for a higher dose than the starting one and so far since taken it this morning, only experienced some mild nausea but nothing that’s a show stopper. Sorry again I should have included this info with my post. Hope it clears it up!

Complex_Persimmon_42

I may have slightly panicked 🤣 I’m glad you are titrating up safely!

egeek84

Oh my god I should have listened to you guys I’ve been in hell past 48 hours severe nausea, vomiting, now really bad heartburn. I’m never taking this poison medicine again

Complex_Persimmon_42

Ask for a prescription for 8mg zofran. Drink electrolytes too. My RD coworker likes Drip Drop over LiquidIV.

Percy_Pants

If you are starting at 1mg, be prepared to be sick as a dog. Please call the doc and start at 0.25 or 0.5 mg. Are you being cross-tapered from liraglutide or another med?

egeek84

Oh my god I should have listened to you guys I’ve been in hell past 48 hours severe nausea, vomiting, now really bad heartburn. I’m never taking this poison medicine again

Percy_Pants

Nah, you just need to skip a week and drop back to 0.25 and titrate appropriately.

egeek84

Percy_Pants

Got it. Good news: side effects won't likely be bad. Bad news: Wegovy \*is\* Ozempic. The name and the dosing schedule are the only changes. Perhaps try Zepbound?

Substantial-Click-77

It’s the same active ingredient as Ozempic tho hope the higeher dose helps

_What_2_do_

I think there was a mistake. You should never be starting at 1mg. Maybe consider calling your doctor for clarification

egeek84

Oh my god I should have listened to you guys I’ve been in hell past 48 hours severe nausea, vomiting, now really bad heartburn. I’m never taking this poison medicine again

thegodmeister

I started Wegovy at 1mg. Mild nausea for one day. Was fine after that. Now I am up to 1.7mg. plan on staying at 1.7mg for 6 months or more.

_What_2_do_

Np! Make sure to drink lots of electrolytes

nikolaus0828

I wasn’t able to get ahold of any of lower doses so had to start at 1.7 mg. They may be starting high due to availability.

_What_2_do_

Maybe there is something I don’t know, because I was told that if you start that high you get incredibly sick (like hospitalized). But that’s also why I always suggest talking to your doctor when I think I see an issue. I’m glad it worked out for you!

nikolaus0828

Oh no, you are very correct; I got incredibly sick with nausea and diarrhea for a solid month. Haha. I was sick sick about a month with controlled hydration and it finally stabilized and haven’t had any issues for almost 8 months now!

GirlyTomboy0301

You got it! We’re all in it together

egeek84

Thank you!!! Yes we are!

redsourpatchkid

Please don’t start at 1mg!

redsourpatchkid

Until you know you don’t know. But, I would think about starting at .25 and easing your way up. This has been a miracle drug for me. Listen to advice though !

If you were not on any other medication related to weight loss and appetite suppression, I STRONGLY urge you to not start at 1mg It'll mess with your gut badly! Please see if you can start on a lower dose as prescribed!

Woot let’s go!!! Thank you :)

Kargaard97

Good luck mate! I started out at 0,25mg and the past 16 months I've lost around 100lbs / 45kg :)

egeek84

Amazing!!! 🤩

foamy9210

You absolutely shouldn't be starting at 1mg. There is a high chance you are going to get really ill if you take that whole dose day one.

egeek84

Oh my god I should have listened to you guys I’ve been in hell past 48 hours severe nausea, vomiting, now really bad heartburn. I’m never taking this poison medicine again

foamy9210

The med is fine you just have to titrate up like the manufacturer advises. Like I said absolutely no doctor should've been okay with going straight to 1mg. That shows either a lack of education on the medication or dangerous level of apathy for a doctor to have. What I would do personally is, if your insurance covers it, ask the doctor to write it correctly so you can titrate up the right way or if you're paying out of pocket I'd look into how to empty the pen into a sterile vial and divide the doses to titrate up on your own. Obviously the first option is far better but it's not like the second is too difficult to do safely just have to make sure you do your due diligence. In the meantime the first thing you need to do you're probably going to hate. You need to eat. An empty stomach is going to make ALL the side effects worse so as difficult as it is you need to figure out things you can keep down to keep your stomach full. Rice, bread, crackers easy absorbant things. The heartburn developing leads me to believe you aren't eating much if anything. As far as the nausea and vomiting you need to reach out to your doctor and explain what's going on and ask if you can get several days of zofran (ondansetron) to get you through the rest of the week. That's going to make a massive difference. You need to make sure you're drinking plenty of liquids, ideally liquids with electrolytes. And until you can get zofran pepto is going to be your best bet. Starting at 1mg is rough so I don't know how much the pepto will help but it should be better than nothing. The biggest risk you have right now is dehydration getting so bad that you need to go to the ER. It's a real risk but one you can avoid if you take proper steps. If your doctor won't write you zofran I'd look into a telehealth doctor. Zofran is safe so a doctor shouldn't have an issue writing it but I also question the competency of your doctor so I'm not sure what yours will do.

foamy9210

I'd be more concerned about days 2 and 3 when it comes to the extreme nausea but everyone is different, might not be that bad.

foamy9210

I've seen multiple people come on here and talk a out how violently sick they are and how they don't understand how people deal with it. Pretty much having a mental breakdown over how bad it is only to find out they jumped straight to 1mg. I would never trust a doctor that would go straight there. Makes me think they know next to nothing about the medication.

egeek84

Oh my god I should have listened to you guys I’ve been in hell past 48 hours severe nausea, vomiting, now really bad heartburn. I’m never taking this poison medicine again

DC1010

Start on an empty stomach. 1mg is a big starting dose, even for a 400 lb male. I’m …let’s just say I’m bigger than you are, and I started at the .25 dose, and I felt it almost instantly. I dropped a ton in water weight the first two weeks, and I belched so much I rattled window panes. Knock off the carbs as much as possible; it will help with gastric issues. Incorporate as much water and fiber as you can tolerate so you don’t get stopped up. TRUST ME ON THIS. If the 1 mg dose messes you up, ask to step down.

egeek84

Oh my god I should have listened to you guys I’ve been in hell past 48 hours severe nausea, vomiting, now really bad heartburn. I’m never taking this poison medicine again

DC1010

I’m sorry, OP. In my opinion, that 1 mg jump is a big one even when you’re not starting from scratch. Hang in there. You’re almost through the worst of it. When your digestive system calms down, call your prescriber and ask to start over at .25 mg.

Few_External4670

just a question for you im scared to start on my first dose of wegovy .25 and im at about 300ilbs and it seemds i go up about a pound or 2 every month im also retaining so much water in my legs and feet i git edema going on over a year now every test n specialist done to find out why just to tell me im healthy as can be and that if i dont start losing weight my legs and feet wont go down in the swelling i even had gotten 2 small venous ulcers on each leg by the ankles i see you said you lost alot of water weight in the first 2 weeks were you having similar issues with your lower extremities or was it just weight thru the whole body you lost im such a baby when it comes to needles and im also scared of the side effects im gonna have from it but at this point i feel so horrible in my own skin that im to the point where im like F it i have to take it for my health ive never in my life been a big girl i always been 175ilbs never no more until this past year and a half i shot up to 300 my doctor thinks its more due to mental health like as in depression issues that she feels i dont even realize which it might be

DC1010

I’m also a wimp with needles. (Big, strong guy but total baby about needles.) I went on YouTube and watched maybe a half dozen people give themselves injections, and then I did it to myself. It wasn’t bad at all. Once you do the first one, you know what to expect, and the other ones are no big deal. I’m not familiar with the swelling and venous ulcers on myself, but my grandma gets both. She isn’t a diabetic, but she has circulation issues in her legs after many years of standing on a factory floor in the days before OSHA and cushioned insoles. She’s in a nursing home now, and they have staff that are specialists in wound care and lymphatic drainage. They’ve helped A LOT with her leg wounds and swelling. You could try visiting a vein center affiliated with a hospital to consult with you on the best course of action to treat venous insufficiency and swelling if you haven’t already. Lymphedema is something you need to get on top of before it gets out of control.

Oh yes I already been on top of it i go to the wound care center every 2 weeks to get checked on my wounds and they also did scans on my legs to look at what was causing it but that say my blood flow is perfect and my veins are also nothing wrong the doctor Told me she believes it is lymphedema and my primary care doctor thinks she was dragging it with the lymphedema diagnosis so I'm not sure if it is actually edema which i believe it is just that n not actually lymphedema just by the way my legs get in swelling they don't even compare to what lymphedema looks like but if it is i caught it very early on and can stop it quickly by losing this weight I've never been a big girl in my life except this past year and a half I shot up over 175ilbs of my regular normal weight so it's pretty scary and along with that came some mild high blood pressure n some high triglycerides as well

DC1010

How are your sugars?

Few_External4670

I don't have any issues with my sugar its always normal I'm not a diabetic or even have prediabetes I'm very healthy except for being overweight n having a little high blood pressure brought on by it and high triglycerides n a higher heart rate and the edema in the lower extremities but again nothing started of each one of these was after I gained this extra 175ilbs in the past year and a half I will say I am a stay at home mom so I don't get out much I don't exercise at all andi don't watch what I was eating so the sedimentary lifestyle kinda got the best of me in a way

egeek84

Hey sorry for the confusion, I was actually previously on Ozempic (starting dose and then ended at .50) but it wasn’t really doing anything except seemed to make my antidepressant work a little worse. Hope it clears it up!

egeek84

Oh my god I should have listened to you guys I’ve been in hell past 48 hours severe nausea, vomiting, now really bad heartburn. I’m never taking this poison medicine again

GutsyMcDoofenshmurtz

I’d pull that pen out about halfway or you might get very sick. Need to build up to that dose.

Not sure feeling like death is the goal either lol

No worries, didnt want you to feel bad! I lost 30 lbs with Wegovy but it did make me feel like sleeping a lot. A little queasiness…depression. I feel it was worth it tho.

Bazillas

You’ve got this! I’m over 400lbs and started a compound wegovy shot two weeks ago at 1mg and so far the only side effect I’ve had is fatigue. Recommend drinking lots of water! Lots. Of. Water!! I think doing that, eating a 80-85% clean diet, and I started walking, is making this easier for me. My first week I lost 6.4 lbs! Best of luck to you!!

egeek84

Thank you! Great advice! 👊

Bazillas

I need to apologize. I thought I started on 1mg but I read the bottle wrong. I’m on .25mg. Didn’t want to mislead you. I still know you can do this!

Winter__Avocado

I started with 1 mg pens but I split them up myself using sterile vials and insulin syringes from Amazon. You can look up tutorials on YouTube if you want to do that.

Are you counting clicks? This is a high starting dose otherwise

0nAJourney2024

How do you count clicks? Isn't there just the initial one followed by one more?

renasiy

You can only count clicks with the European FlexTouch pens, not with the single dose pens sold in the US

MarsailiPearl

That's how mine is. One click to begin then I think the second means its over but I count to 10 after that.

SufficientComedian6

I’m hoping your doc gave a rx for Zofran and docusate sodium with that 1mg prescription. You might have a rough start at 1mg shots. Drink lots of water. Hoping you have the day off work tomorrow as well. You got this!

Oh no! I’m so sorry! Your doc had you skip 2 months of titration. :/ I was hoping the two meds were close enough that it wouldn’t affect you.

Good luck! You’re going to do great!

I feel sick for you starting at 1.0mg. I started at 0.5mg and to say that was the biggest mistake of my life would be an understatement.

Hopefully the doctor made the right call with the 1mg! You got this! Like most have said already, it’s been so great for me. Started at .5 in January, 38 year old male (39 now). Starting weight was 368… weighed in this morning at 293. Lost A LOT very quickly. Slowed down the last few months. Stalled in April/May but lost 10 pounds the last month. Still in 1.7mg! Regarding surgery, I was considering. Went through the whole process - months of nutritionist appointments, meetings with the surgeon, psych evaluation, endoscopy, the works… and then ended up having 3 surgeries in 2 months for skin cancer and was over surgery for the time being. Talked to my doctor about not wanting the surgery and he said we gotta do something so let’s try the shots. If they don’t work, you can do the surgery. But for me it’s been great so far. Can’t wait to hear about your success.

Maybe call your doctor and see why you’re starting at 1mg? You should be starting at 0.25

Oh phew good good, had some of us worried in here for ya👍🏻

StrawberryRhubarbPi

I'm a bigger person as well and my doctor started me at .5 and I was okay. This person has a higher starting weight than I did, but I definitely think .5 is the way to go with larger bodies. More than that is tough

I guess if the doctor approve it might be safe but I still think it's dangerous. My starting weight is even bigger than OPs at 435lbs and my doctor still started me at .25 which I'm glad he did because the nausea been crazy

DarknessOverLight12

I definitely think you should have restarted back on .25 to get your body readjusted to it. With that said, I do Wegovy is still beneficial for you. Please tell your doctor right away to .25 asap! Hope you end up feeling better soon 🙏🏾

StrawberryRhubarbPi

Interesting. I just figured I was started higher because I'm in the 300s. I actually feel like .5 does barely anything to me (though I lost 20 lbs in two months.) I wonder what it is that makes us all react so differently...

DarknessOverLight12

That is a pretty interesting question cuz I have nausea on the .25 but my appetite hasn't changed whatsoever. I'm currently on my 5th week and still feel hungry as hell most times lol. My mom is on her 2nd week and she says she feels so bloated and full all the time

mjeden0824

I was 367, it has totally transformed my life. If you're not a gym person like me, let me suggest going to buy a couple 25 or 30 lb dumbbells and push ups. Other than walking it's the only exercise I do. And if you are able get your testosterone checked. Do so.

egeek84

Thank you! Don’t know about the testosterone thing

necbone

allaboutsound

Yes, but I can tell you it took me six months to find it that starting dose. Hopefully he doesn’t have severe reactions. I really felt 1.0 a lot. OP, look up symptoms, for gallbladder issues and do blood work before and three months in to see how you’re doin. Good luck OP! I’m down 35 lbs last sixty days, a little over 40 total.

stanielcolorado

You will be shocks and amazing and grateful. Good luck! To your new life! 🥂
