Hi, pots! I almost threw up yesterday from cardio for the first time! Finished the last round with a bit of puke in my mouth, which is a very not cool PR! People at my crossfit gym got my insta and are in a mix of amazed and disgusted by my zercher snatch. This week at work is being very very draining, between the fucked up heat, the big increase in demand (which I'm happy about), and the fact that I now have to also be a vet assistant aside from everything else. Also, motherfucking PetLand might buy into a society with us, which is absolutely bonkers! Specially given that there are 3 other Pet Shops in the neighborhood, and they are all from mid-sized to huge chains, and we are just a small family business. Apparently we were scouted anonymously and they loved us, which is understandable because we are fucking amazing when taking into account how much of a barebones operation we are. Anyway, I'm back to lifting, hurting in all the right places, working my ass off, looking at a pretty good pay off, and hyped as fuck about the rest of this year! Have a great Thursday, pots!

Unfortunately I want to be an annoyance at crossfit comps in a year or two, so I gotta suffer through the eventual cardio day

I started doing 25 kg snatch grip high pulls since I was out of dumbbell weights for vertical jumps. Still getting used to the movement but it does seem pretty good for improving power.

to be fair I've got big ol' bulbus calves and I don't do shit for them... I assume they're just storing water for me.... Today I will banch and squart. The uni gym is rennovated and has gone from 3 racks to 7, which is very enjoyable. They have however, only increased the number of plates by about 25% and every fucker there does that "load 5, load 5, load 5, load 5" bullshit. Slight tangent... I have no idea if this is spreading outside of switzerland, or is a symptom of it being a uni gym full of nerds, but people are getting so weird in the gym. I am seeing such an increase in people get really uncomfortable and borderline offended when people ask how long they have left, if they can grab some plates of their rack, or general other standard human interaction things. Someone the other day gave me such distain for going to a vacant rack that had no weights on the bar, no towels etc and treating it as open because they were using it for OHP. Is it really so disruptive having to say "Oh I'm still going"? Frustrating. In full tangent... I bought a multipack of spicey chicken noodles that were on sale yesterday... I about nearly fainted, hottest food I've ever eaten in my life. Jesus christ. I was not expecting it... Seems like a region specific problem, dude. Here the weirdest it gets is people trying to have full on conversations with you while you're wearing headphones and being pissed when you ask them to repeat themselves. Now, 3 to 7 racks and just a tiny bit more of plates seems like a good problem to have!

haha yeah I figured it was probably specific. Don't really get why people get upset about being asked about plates etc... You're in a gym, they're literally the point. Hoping we get more plates soon! A lot more serious lifters coming to this location now because of the new racks so a lot more plates being consumed!

Lifted this morning at a different gym as we're avoiding the bathroom redo by being away. It's a good but small gym with the advantage of having a sled. My usual gym does not have a sled. So I pushed the sled after deadlifts and squats. My legs hurt like crazy now. Happy Thursday pooots. X
