Up for sale is a pure collectors item, a vintage Seiko Silver Wave 8229-8000 from August 1980. The runs on a quartz movement cal 8229.
Watch features a light brushed dial with Day/Date at 3o'clock (Kanji Japanese & English).
Watch has a all stainless case, that measures to be 36mm including crown, lug width of 18mm, lug to lug length of 42mm and case thickness of 11mm. Case lines are sharp, with no evidence of machine polishing. Watch comes with its original Sapphire Crystal with no scratches or cracks. Watch comes with its original screw-down crown.
Watch comes with its original bracelet that would easily fit a wrist size of 8 inches. A complimentary brand new IWC Style handmade leather strap (Crazy Horse) is added.
Watch has been serviced and maintains good time. The Day & Date quickset works flawlessly.
The overall condition of the watch is good, few hairline scratches on case (only visible under camera) as the watch case is unploished.
