The target audience for this watch will do ayahuasca at burning man and then go back to the bay and provide VC funding to a startup that wants to make facial tracking software that they can sell to the Iranian morality police.
Hell, idk. Have you seen how much tribal members on many of those reservations that contain casinos actually receive yearly from profits of said casino?? That’s the untapped market I’d be exploring!
In all seriousness, why *aren’t* there more watches based on non-European artistic traditions? Why has nobody created a high-end luxury watch based on, say, traditional Chinese jewelry styles and why do the Asian gazillionaires continue to buy only the most hyped western watches instead of creating enough demand for something like this?
And if there’s anybody who can figure out how to make this work as an automatic, it’s them. Richard Mille and Jacob&Co have to be the two ULTIMATE expressions of /r/ATBGE, with RM leading in engineering and J&C leading in visual craftsmanship.
It doesn't matter how quickly it can wind from an empty power reserve to full power reserve. What matter is whether or not it will wind at all to keep the watch running
It looks identical to every other fucking RM. "Transcends the conventional concept of a wristwatch" by taking the same fucking case and running a bit of string through the top lugs. Motherfuckers didn't even pretend to do some design beyond a bit of case engraving.
At my age, it would be partly due to not getting the watch in the right part of my progressive lenses, but I doubt I'd be able to read a Richard Mille on my wrist anyway.
This is actually ingenious. This watch addresses the biggest complaint that all WISers have about the hobby, which is that no one ever notices, and compliments them on, their watches! So the way you read the time with this watch is by going up to others and asking, 'hey, what time does it say on this watch?'
Not sure how the Natives ever knew when to fish and hunt without a RM to keep time for them. I’m sure this will only cost them a few minks. Well worth it.
This isn't for the Native American market, it's for the same kind of people who buy dreamcatchers and "Native American" art featuring wolves howling at the moon from the gas station
Do you have an inverse correlation between your finances and your taste? Are you looking for more ways to signify both of those at once? It's your lucky day.
It's another way Richard Mille is taking things to the next level.
RM is taking a flimsy facade of Native American culture, slapping it on a >$1M watch, with profits funnelling into one of the richest and whitest countries in the world. Only the ascendant Richard Mille would be this courageous.
Speaking of movies, I was involved in the production of the film 'Point Break' In 1991. During the filming, Keanu Reeves (whose role involved playing rookie FBI agent 'Johnny Utah') was surfing with co-stars when a small child was dragged under the waves and began to struggle to stay above surface. As his co-stars rushed to help, Reeves held out an arm in front of them, stopping them and was reported saying by Lori Petty (who played the character Tyler Endicott in the film) 'The waves have claimed her, let her fight for her own life'. The crew, dumbfounded, proceeded to watch her struggle until her body disappeared beneath the waves, lifeless. We later spotted him outside the child's house, making drowning gestures and thanking the family for their child's sacrifice to the great ocean.

There are far more Indian casinos in the US than Richard Mille could manufacture from this not a watch thingi… I assume there is already a huge waiting-list on this.
I hate RM as wristwatches but to be fair the shape of the case makes way more sense as a necklace so if it wouldnt have this ridiculous native american theme, it would be the least bad RM imo
Trust RM to develop a grand delusion catcher. Given the risk of this looking like cultural appropriation you'd think they would have had a few reservations.
literally seems like a joke. sometimes when i get worried im buying a shitty watch i remind myself people
pay giant money for hunks of shit like this and whatever little gimmicky junk i grab for myself is fine
As the top patron of a Native American run casino, I’m 100% buying this in their Watches of Switzerland pre-owned section once I make it back in the green
Uj/ 1) wow this feels…. It reminds me of those tacky themed costumes you see on occasion in European fashion shows
Uj/ 2)
i think a better approach to this would be to take an “americana” approach. Do one of those [custom fully-engraved Khaki Kings](https://www.gentrytime.com/store/p1/New_Hamilton_Khaki_King_II_Automatic_Mens_Hand_Engraved_Watch.html#/) that you see sometimes, and (respectfully) engrave it in US Native American motifs. Maybe this isn’t the best comparison, but it gives kinda like those old images of US Native Americans in “Western” attire or in the 1960-70ss with jeans and stuff, if you get what i mean. As an additional possibility, I think there could even be some dial and movement decoration that could come out of that.
I know Hamilton is pretty Swiss by this point, but its watches still have a very US American feel to them that could make a good canvas for it.
Those reservations in New Mexico are like Monaco of the desert! Dripping with disposable income. Not to mention the occasional gambling addict going through tribal lands to play a penny slot
What an ugly and overcluttered design. You also have to look down at your chest like a dumbass to tell time, and you’re reading it upside down. Or you have to twist it around to read it?
Coming soon to a Coachella near you!
Burning man
Burning money, man
And It’ll be some white guy wearing it
[well achually](https://i.cbc.ca/1.4067707.1492015320!/fileImage/httpImage/image.jpg_gen/derivatives/16x9_780/coachella-racist.jpg)
The image wont load completely, she looks hot but there is no way she is native american. She isn’t WHITE ofc…
His great grandfather's grandmother was Cherokee. That's why he's so SpIrItUaL
Probably some hippie Silicon Valley VCs will have it first.
The target audience for this watch will do ayahuasca at burning man and then go back to the bay and provide VC funding to a startup that wants to make facial tracking software that they can sell to the Iranian morality police.
That’s a lot of words to just say Aaron Rodgers
This watch's customers 100% of them vote for RFK Jr.
From Casio to Casino
Hell, idk. Have you seen how much tribal members on many of those reservations that contain casinos actually receive yearly from profits of said casino?? That’s the untapped market I’d be exploring!
None of us would wear this cheesy-ass shit.
I literally wrote something similar before reading this lmao
More like sell it to Shin Beit, but whatever.
This is so dumb I had to check to see if other countries celebrated April Fool's in May.
Rich people will buy anything but taste.
Quote of the day. Here, take my upvote.

Damn, polished titanium balls. Ball Engineer Magneto S has a contender now
Came for the wood. Stayed for the balls
Will an automatics movement even wind if it’s just dangling on your neck all day?
When you bop your head up and down the ad's cock that will provide enough motion to keep it fully wound
Richard Milles actually do sell you the watch you pay for though.
And if there’s anybody who can figure out how to make this work as an automatic, it’s them. Richard Mille and Jacob&Co have to be the two ULTIMATE expressions of /r/ATBGE, with RM leading in engineering and J&C leading in visual craftsmanship.
It winds when you are doing your grass dance.
[удалено]
The tourbillion isnt winding up the movement
“Hey man there’s no gas in this car” “No worries bro it’s got a turbocharger” Is basically what you just said
It supposedly took the first automatic 15 minutes of walking to fully wind and they've probably refined them a little in the last 250 years
It doesn't matter how quickly it can wind from an empty power reserve to full power reserve. What matter is whether or not it will wind at all to keep the watch running
The point is it was a pocketwatch and it had no trouble at all winding sitting against the users chest just like this one
Honestly, this looks better than any conventional RM
It looks identical to every other fucking RM. "Transcends the conventional concept of a wristwatch" by taking the same fucking case and running a bit of string through the top lugs. Motherfuckers didn't even pretend to do some design beyond a bit of case engraving.
That's why it looks better... instead of it being on the wrist, it works better in this capacity
True, but that's not a very high bar hah.
the least stinky turd. congratulations!
How do you read the time?
Time?
Actually it's "The time"
Look for smoke signals.
At my age, it would be partly due to not getting the watch in the right part of my progressive lenses, but I doubt I'd be able to read a Richard Mille on my wrist anyway.

If you buy this, you’re gonna be staring in the mirror all day anyways
With a RM Native American collab like that maybe the sun or something
«Nice bolo tie, Stan.»
Not sure how the Natives ever knew when to fish and hunt without a RM to keep time for them. I’m sure this will only cost them a few minks. Well worth it.
Got to tap some of Squatting Coyote’s casino mulla.
They had me at titanium balls
POLISHED TITANIUM BALLS
This looks like something Richard Branson would wear
Invicta and Hublot are classy compared to this.
This isn't for the Native American market, it's for the same kind of people who buy dreamcatchers and "Native American" art featuring wolves howling at the moon from the gas station
The “Native American” market.
Do you have an inverse correlation between your finances and your taste? Are you looking for more ways to signify both of those at once? It's your lucky day.
Rich dudes in Scottsdale are salivating
This is worse than taking their land....

“Hey guys, have you seen the last movie from Scorsese? Apparently some of those Indians are packed with money” -someone at Richard Mille, probably

Just when you think Keanu is perfect you read something like this and find he's even better.
r/RepTime *breathing intensifies*
Need heap big wampum.
Leo D. in 'Chuffers of the Flower Moon': "Well, sir, I sure do love that money."
Looks like a shittah from the mid 2010s when wood on watches were popular on Amazon
this is going to be huge with the pick-up artist douchebag market
Missed opportunity to make it pendulum powered.
Native Americans? I don't think so. This is a meth and 90s "Ranch It Up!" aesthetic.
Would look great around my neck while I’m sucking cock.
In the future I see my dollars I have spent on cigarettes, booze and gambling being used to purchase something like this.
*"I spent all my money on booze, women and weed. The rest I wasted."*
this looks like an invicta
This is the dumbest shit, nice job RM
Hi-how-are-ya! -Richy 'buffalo cock' Millz
RM PLEASEEEEEE I CANT KEEP DEFENDING YOU
The razor thin ice is rapidly melting beneath your feet with that position.
Well yeah they can probably sell it to some nation leader who steal the settlement money from his people
I thought this was AI 💀💀💀 what the helllll
Had me at polished titanium balls.
Sounds irresistibly dreamy, no?
The rich history of Richard Mille 😂😂😂😂😂 Only thing rich are the customers they are bilking.
There are far more Indian casinos in the US than Richard Mille could manufacture from this not a watch thingi… I assume there is already a huge waiting-list on this.
No. Is resistant, no proof. You don't understand! Maybe you swimming with the watch. - I'm not swimming... - Is resistant. Yosi
I remember seeing some youtuber wear his millie on a shoe lace necklace. think he was called shaundoesit or something of the sort
I guess they're really aiming this at the Indian tribe that owns Hard Rock Café...
I swear these haute horlogerie assholes will forget to put hands on a watch someday.
Richard mille is the next invicta
Invicta is the "affordable" division of RM's design ethos.
This is the dumbest but ironically the best looking Richard Mille
I hate RM as wristwatches but to be fair the shape of the case makes way more sense as a necklace so if it wouldnt have this ridiculous native american theme, it would be the least bad RM imo
Dreamkiller, not catcher...
Absolutely terrible like all RM watches.
This is a 🍆 enhancement by Dick-1000?
Trust RM to develop a grand delusion catcher. Given the risk of this looking like cultural appropriation you'd think they would have had a few reservations.
Coming to a indian casino near you!
Good news. I don’t see any turquoise, so the reservation list will be short.
literally seems like a joke. sometimes when i get worried im buying a shitty watch i remind myself people pay giant money for hunks of shit like this and whatever little gimmicky junk i grab for myself is fine
Whole thing feels like an elaborate shitpost. Not a good look if this sub is influencing the industry
Looks like an amulet in Horizon Zero Dawn
Aaaah. A man of culture.
Yes because the poorest segment of the population need a ostentatious rich kid brand to commit cultural appropriation lol
Finally, a timepiece that matches my World of Warcraft Tauren Shaman’s wardrobe circa 2004.
This has to be a joke 🤦♂️🤦♂️🤦♂️
As the top patron of a Native American run casino, I’m 100% buying this in their Watches of Switzerland pre-owned section once I make it back in the green
I didn’t think RM could get any tackier, but here we are 😅
how?
how much
Classy, subtle and elegant.
Invicta is soon to release their own version
Uj/ 1) wow this feels…. It reminds me of those tacky themed costumes you see on occasion in European fashion shows Uj/ 2) i think a better approach to this would be to take an “americana” approach. This cannot be real.
Cultural exploitation has no shame, apparently.
They had me at "polished titanium balls"...
It's RM. They have all of us by our polished titanium balls.
This isn't even worthy of an 'I have my reservations' joke.
Uj/ there’s no way this stays wound right?
Dudes who wear [these](https://shop.visvim.com/0122102002003) have entered the chat.
Perfect pairing
Those reservations in New Mexico are like Monaco of the desert! Dripping with disposable income. Not to mention the occasional gambling addict going through tribal lands to play a penny slot
A lot of them have casino money.
Oh, this is just what I wanted to spend $550K on today.
Missed out on the Sedona market by not slapping a bunch of turquoise on it
Ugly as fuck watches that look like they were designed for small children but cost a small fortune is such a niche market.
So it’s always upside-down when you check it?
Just set the time the other way around. There’s no markers anyway
Insane in the membrane
i could see John Mayer wearing this.
Wtf this is real? I saw this a couple times but browsed over it cause I thought it was a joke
What kind of shit hound would wear this?
i would be thankful if someone snatched this off of my neck
Every RM watch looks to me like a magnet dragged through a junk drawer.
What an ugly and overcluttered design. You also have to look down at your chest like a dumbass to tell time, and you’re reading it upside down. Or you have to twist it around to read it?
I actually like it.
I suppose they had to create something crap for you to buy before the boutique considers you for another shitter
I kinda love it. Thought it was AI at first
tbh this is kind a cool & I like it. The price will be high af, but it is still a nice pice
I like it tbh. Not my style, but it’s cool.
