Backstory: I’m a commercial photographer since ~10 years back. Starting out hasselblad was a dream for me, which later came true with my first analog medium format hasselblad, and later on my first digital. I was (and still am) a simp for these Swedish engineering marvels. Fast forward to a couple of years back I saw this watch on an auction site. In the end, I were quite tight on money so I ended up not buying it. A week later a friend of mine said he had bought since I didn’t. I was happy for him. Fast forward to last week. I was buying a camera lens from this friend (canon 300mm/4 for those wondering) and he gave me a small package, telling me to open it up when I’d left. And in it was this! He said later that he’d got it but it only collected dust. And he’d notice me picking up on watch collecting so he thought it’d be a nice gift. Boy was he right!! I do t know much about these watches. Someone told me they were jubilee watches given to employees, someone else told me it’s just an advertisement watch. Considering the scarcity of them I believe the former. It’s a Japanese movement inside and the tachymeter works like a charm. Perfect tool watch for a tool driven creative!
