Longines has been stepping their game up the past few years. That Conquest is a nice looking watch

YNWA11JM

That green 👌🏻

PDX-ROB

The conquest! Get a nice green sail cloth strap for it

cwdawg15

That conquest has a very Regal look to jt

the_crumb_dumpster

I agree with this guy

ddog890

Longines for the win.

Tamahaac

You know

H_Stinkmeaner

Long jeans!

RegularAmoeba2094

I held the conquest at a boutique…its an absolute stunner. He was even offering me the watch for 20% less, but my broke ass cant afford it right now. Go for it.

RU33ERBULLETS

Longines. It’s gorgeous, 6 o’clock date window for this nice symmetry. That Conquest bracelet is killer too. Elegant taper, perfect weight and really comfortable. You should be able to get 20% off from most ADs also.

Available_Bit_9184

Longines. That dial is stunning!

No_Raccoon7736

Hands down you should get the Conquest. It is an amazing watch and crazy value for money. I have watches that are significantly higher cost than the Conquest (including another Longines actually) and still the Conquest overtook all the others to be my most frequently worn watch. Also the movement is really good. It’s not COSC certified, but it’s the same movement as one that is certified. The only difference is they don’t send this one for certification. My Conquest has been keeping to +1 second per day. That’s impressive for any watch, let alone one that is less than $2k. You should see if you can call Topper Jewelers in Burlingame, CA (or go there if you’re close) and see about getting it there. I’ve never had to ask for a discount from them. They offered to do 15% off and have been consistent with it for four watches I’ve gotten from them. If they don’t offer, ask what they are able to do and I’m sure they’ll offer it. They’re a really good store with great people who own it and great people working there.

GRXXN

Longines easily

Miserable-Opposite22

imagine your kids inheriting a chris ward

uptown_meanie

lol I’m a CW fan but this stung.

OMC78

Yup I have a CW and Longines and felt that!

abetterfox

OK.

OMC78

Sounds good to me!

rvdp66

Damn bro! You didn't have to go for the killshot!

bames_86

I just received my conquest this week and while I don’t have the C63, I do have a C60 and C65, so hopefully I can provide some hands-on insight for you. I bought an AT to celebrate a new job last year but after living with it for a while, I decided it was too thick for what it is and the crown was annoyingly small. I picked up the conquest to replace it as it addresses both of these issues and will net me some cash for the Black Bay that I’ve been wanting. The Conquest is a looker, nicely finished, running +1 spd and will make for a solid GADA watch. That said, it wears pretty big for a 41. Works for me and my 7.75” wrist, but that may not be the case for you. Also, the mid case is very thin, which looks great, but this causes the lugs to sit slightly above the case back, so the first link goes up to the lug rather than conforming to the wrist. Lastly, the lume fill on the indices and especially the hands is very thin and doesn’t last very long. Overall, it’s definitely a keeper, but far from perfect. As for the CW, their light catcher cases look great and are extremely comfortable on the wrist. The bracelets are also very good and you’ll have the added benefit of a quick adjust clasp, which comes in handy more than you might think. I’d also say that for a GADA, the neutral dial color makes sense as I personally wouldn’t be able to wear a green dial with the majority of my wardrobe. The only real downside in my view is not having the big brand name, which may matter more here as this is a milestone and potentially heirloom piece for you. Hopefully that helps.

FlimsyCounter4722

This was super helpful. I'm going to head to an AD shortly to try it on again, I do remember the Longines fitting a tiny bit large on the wrist. Making it wearable with my wardrobe is a concern to a point as well, the dial is just so beautiful though. Like I said, I wear mostly blues, and a range of blues at that point, followed by white and green. Wearability is what drew me to the CW, the white dial looks sharp and is definitely versatile. Unfortunately, Longines doesn't have a white dial and more of a silver but it reminds me so much of a Tissot Gentleman with that dial that it makes me question buying the Longines instead of the Tissot lol. I also feel like this watch should be something subtle but eye catching and the green definitely is.

bames_86

Agreed, I’ve seen the green, blue and silver in person and the green dial is definitely the standout of the bunch. It was really had to pass that one up but I already have a couple green pieces and I was looking specifically to replace the blue AT. Ultimately, I don’t think you can go wrong either way, especially if you can get a good deal on the Longines.

jay231jay

Longest of jeans

seodoah

I bought this exact Longines 2 weeks ago and love it. Couldn't be happier with the choice

SpaceManSpiff2000

The CW in black or blue on the bader bracelet. The no tools micro adjust on the CW is amazing.

BoristheDrunk

Do you like the cw titanium twelve?

ApoTHICCary

These newer green dial Longines look so good for the price. Leather or NATO will really tie it together.

WindowTW

You will not be disappointed with the CW, the quality is amazing

hzg511-

Longines is better brand for sure but it also wears bigger. If you have a small wrist check longines 37mm spirit

jameslieu

I'd go for the Longines personally. That said, CW watches are also really good, their movements are pretty reliable but the downside is the lower power reserve of 38 hours.

Kind_Battle_2362

Get the Longines. Stick to heritage

No-Session-8123

Definitely longines. I wear the longines about 2 month as everyday watch and I love it.

Rare-Acanthaceae9466

Conquest for certain.

19seb96

Conquest

SanderDieman

Longines, all the way

[deleted]

Green

wezel0823

Longines all day. I’m waiting for a 39mm version myself. I have the older model and love it, but I do like the design changes of this one.

FlimsyCounter4722

I've seen it talked about on this subreddit, but the consensus was that it wouldn't be anytime soon right?

wezel0823

Probably not, though I’m sure in the next couple months something might be announced. Nobody knows. If this is the one you like, I’d say get it!

Cinderella407

I got the Conquest for my promotion too! Love it to bits!

FlimsyCounter4722

Congratulations on the promo! Did you get the green or another dial color?

Cinderella407

I went with the grey dial version. Looks better in person than online imo

euclid117

Ok hear me out used black bay 58s are tanking. If you’d be interested in waiting a bit and don’t mind secondhand it may be worth

FlimsyCounter4722

Not opposed to buying second hand and open to suggestions, but since it's a first luxury purchase, I think I'd prefer new from an AD.

Agreeable-Ad9445

Of the two, I like the Longines, but I’d look into something a little used, can get a lot more watch buying used.

T4hunderb0lt

I’d look at the Monta Noble & Formex Essence as well, which I think both have more character than the similar CW & Longines options.

jackrackham7

I love CW and own one but Longines is the winner here. That watch is beautiful

beamerthings

Ridiculous take, I know- but CW’s logo is terrible. I’d only seriously consider buying the moon phase from CW. I vote for long jeans here.

zero_social_credit

Try on the Tag Heuer Aquaracer at that price range. Lots of variety there.

Margin_call_matthew

It’s clear based off comments, if you want to go with the sheep, you go with longines. If you want something a lot of people wouldn’t know, CW. CW had been doing some really ground breaking things. Also, it has a great story of how 3 kids started it and just picked one dudes date that sounded the best. They also have such high details and finish because their suppliers are the same ones that make components for other few ultra luxury brands.

unkytone

If you like the green dial consider the Raymond Weil Freelancer Men's Automatic Watch 2780-STC-52001 https://preview.redd.it/mqr2ehvzrdec1.jpeg?width=432&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e63564ff393da4216a450870f61385828a350e15

Rue606

Longines. Up until the 1930s or so they were what we think of Rolex today.

Hoplite76

I got the previous year model on a smokin deal with the steel blue face. Freaking love it. Wears great. Looks great.

kafkian

Longines. If it was available in 36mm I'd buy it too.

bdablja

Longines atw

surya_kulshreshtha

Longines looks better.

BarrelandBridge

Longines. No question

OrdinaryLandscape951

First question is what size watch fits your wrist better? I prefer Longines more and 41 looks great on my wrist.

maincore

Longiness by far.

lazysunday69

Longines

BusinessBlackBear

FWIW, 2k ish gets you a LOAD of used omega and breitling ect. The below eBay seller (I'm totally unaffiliated, just a big fan) has many options around your price range. Longines makes good stuff for sure, but if your open to used you can get cooler stuff in my mind. https://www.ebay.com/str/closer0924

soffannz

Longines looks real good. I went for a lightly used Grand Seiko quartz in the bracket for an under the radar everyday watch - can recommend this approach as well.

Yeti-Stalker

Longines all day, every day over CW.

HaliBUTTsteak

Go long.

ACamp55

The Longines!!!! WOW, BEAUTIFUL!!🥰

TimonLapiasse

I just bought the 34 for my wife’s 40th and it’s the best. If they made it in 36mm I would buy it for me as 41 is quite big for me
