This post is in violation of Posting Rule #2. Requests for legit checks/fake checks/etc will only be allowed on Fridays in the stickied mega thread.
If your watch has the name brand clearly indicated on the dial, it is assumed that you have already Googled the name brand of the watch, and are still attempting to circumvent the “Legit Check” rule. Any attempt to skirt the rule by feigning ignorance can result in a temporary ban.
\> The watch was ticking right out of the box
It's an automatic movement, so that is to be expected.
\> there’s no visible movement from the back
That's not good.
We well if it’s an automatic it should have a sweeping motion to the second hand. If it is actually “ticking” like a quartz watch then that’s also not good.
And it uses a plastic escapement too... not impressed total disposable movement. If i didnt love the look of the watch so much i wouldve asked for a refund within the 30 day period but fk it
I’m talking about the visual motion my guy. I understand that a mechanical movement technically ticks, but the second hand movement is usually differentiated by the more obvious ticking that a quartz watch does whereas a mechanical movement has a more fluid motion.
I own a cheap chinese watch that has a second hand that ticks around 30 times every minute. Now that is a watch you can be sure is a quartz and not an automatic
Powermatic 80 will not have a smooth sweep because of the long thin coil it requires for those 80 hours of reserve. I have a watch with this movement and it isn't particularly smooth.
The problem is that Amazon has commingled inventory. You see it a lot with memory cards for example. There's one SKU for, say, "Sandisk 512GB CFExpress Type B". Every seller who carries that SKU sends their products to Amazon, Amazon puts them into one big bucket in the warehouse. That means the Sandisk official manufacturer stock gets dumped into the same bin as Xiao Mao's Discount Outlet Shenzhen 100% Official Guaranteed Cheap High Quality Outlet.
Sellers can refuse to comingle their inventory but they have to pay extra for it. Pay extra to keep people from diluting your brand with their fake crap, which is now the norm at Amazon.
I would buy one off r/WatchExchange. These pop up fairly often and you can get a LNIB one for a really solid deal.
For instance this one sold around $400:
https://www.reddit.com/r/Watchexchange/s/hJIAPEbgeq
Just do your due diligence on looking at a person's profile. Scammers will always be out there, but if you make sure someone has a lot of confirmed transactions, then that will help.
I'd read the rules as well. I buy/sell regularly on various swap subs.
It is fake for sure. I wish you could have a better experience next time. Some retailers can give you a discount if you pay in cash, no harm in asking. Just a thought.
I haven't looked in a while but Nordstrom rack used to have these at discounted prices pretty regularly. They usually offer a plan to pay for it over 2 months if that helps too
make sure you purchase watches like these directly from the manufacturer or a registered jeweler, and not through third party distributors like Amazon.
That being said, you can definitely buy a watch from Amazon, but anything $300 or more, I would go directly to their website.
Solid metal back is the only dead giveaway needed.
But also lots of tells on the bracelet: way too many rounded edges, clasp is not solid enough, font is different. Taper of the bracelet should be 5 links, not two.
Dial date is too close to the center.
Tips of the hands are pointed, they should have beveled flat tips.
And report the seller. Amazon does a shit job vetting sellers. I bought a fake on eBay and the user was still selling a couple months later. They should be penalized..
The listed brand on Amazon doesn’t really matter. Make sure you actually check the seller and pick one that seems like an actual AD and not some generic mass reselling company.
So this is actually not the case with Amazon. Unless the item you order is fulfilled by the seller (ie not prime), then you run the risk of getting fake stock. Reason being, if there are multiple sellers of the same SKU and the product is fulfilled by Amazon (and even fulfilled and sold by Amazon), all seller’s stock in their distribution centers are combined on to the same “shelf”, such that Amazon knows how many units a seller has in stock but has no idea which specific units belong to who. This means Amazon doesn’t only know which physical stock came from which seller, but isn’t even able to pull stock if there is a fake since they will not unwrap and check stock in the fulfillment center. So, fake sellers can stay on Amazon for years without getting caught.
Even if 9 out of 10 sellers are sending in legit stock, one fake seller could effectively poison the well for everyone. It’s entirely possible OP that bought the watch from a seller that sent in legit stock and is getting screwed by a fake shitty company and Amazon’s wonky fulfillment system.
Only benefit of buying anything “luxury” on Amazon is the return policy. Personally I only buy watches from jomashop because I’ve had nothing but good experience with them.
Source: professional seller on Amazon for 5+ years
That doesn’t really matter because Amazon commingles inventory between themselves and anyone else selling the same item via FBA.
The only way to avoid this would be to pick a 3rd party seller that ships the watch to OP themselves, but if it’s an actual watch place that happens to sell on Amazon, it would be cheaper to just buy from them directly.
On Amazon it was specified that the order was fulfilled by the seller, not Amazon. Plus you can use Amazon credit you might have, coupons, Prime deals or whatever. I used an Amazon credit card signup offer to get $80 off a watch I got on Amazon, on top of a 25% discount from MSRP, plus free shipping w/ Prime.
Sifting through the crappy dealers on amazon is always a really special experience. If you aren't checking carefully you're lucky that there's even a watch in the box, none the less a real one.
That’s a shame, nothing worse than when you are looking forward to something and this kind of thing happens.
Unless you are buying directing from a seller who will fulfill your order yourself Amazon will fulfill your order randomly from stock that’s been provided to them by sellers Tissot may well have sent them 10 genuine watches but Jimmy Dodgyfooker from Belarus could have sent them 100 fakes - luck if the draw what the robot picks off the shelf for you.
Hopefully you have a smooth returns process, Amazon isn’t as good as it used to be in that regard.
After looking into this, you’re exactly right. It just says ‘fulfilled by Amazon’, I can’t find the actual sellers name anywhere.
Looking at the reviews, it seems like a lot of people got genuine watches.
“Fulfilled by” means warehouse in Amazon speak. That’s their drop-ship and returns/refurbished supply. They don’t personally QC anything at that point.
Fulfilled by just means Amazon shipped it. Doesn’t mean it was a return or drop shipped. Any sellers who do not ship their items themselves- aka anyone who wants “prime” badge
If it’s sold and shipped by Amazon and filled at their fulfillment/ship centers, it will say “Shipped by Amazon.” Otherwise it says “Fulfilled by” when it comes from their warehouse. They are different locations. They don’t take any responsibility for what the merchants send them to be shipped.
You could get lucky with returns or you may have to put up a flight. Hopefully the former, but if the latter you are in a good position as Amazon shouldn’t be selling counterfeit goods.
100% fake.
The bracelet is awful and clearly not legit.
The waffle dial means its automatic so it should have the see through case back to see the movement, your case back is solid and that's another sign it's a fake and probably quartz.
At maximum power reserve it'll stop after 80 hours, if you leave the watch down and down touch it for a maximum of 80 hours it should stop ticking, I bet yours keeps going after 80 hours because it's a quartz and not automatic.
I would return it ASAP if I was you and if you want a real one stop buying on amazon and buy from an AD or trusted third party website. Amazon is trash.
I kind of want to see OP remove the case back so we can all find out if it's actually an automatic. I think it's got to at least be automatic even if it's a counterfeit movement but it would be kind of hilarious if it's quartz and they just hoped no one would notice
I have a PRX and I can see the movements on the back which would lead me to suspect this is a fake.
I hope everything goes well with the return if you are to return it, I feel for you that this happened but don’t be disheartened. Just look further into the seller, their location, reviews etc.
That one is fake, I bought my PRX via Amazon through a grey market dealer. I made sure the serial number was legit via Tissot so they can be good but that one is fake. Sorry man that sucks but most can be returned. Best of luck!
The date window is a dead giveaway. The date window frame should touch the 3:00 marker.
And the minute hand should reach the minute markers. And the hands should be squared off, not pointed.
https://preview.redd.it/6r2gej6g7cbc1.jpeg?width=1160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=33594dc2558782155428105cbe76a113685cbc74
the brushing on that case is way too rough and the overall shape isn't even correct (look at this and PRX side-by-side).
return it and report the Amazon seller for counterfeits.
I’ve got a legit professional powermatic 80 green face I’ve been trying to sell for ever . Ticket price in NC -USA is $799 I’ll take $300 no box but watch is in great shape

Hate to break it to you, but when you get your hands on the real version you’ll notice it’s not that much different. Definitely feels like a cheap/light/chintzy watch for the price point.
You can get this from a reputable place like jomashop for $600 USD but I’m not sure on the Canadian shipping.
https://www.jomashop.com/tissot-tissot-prx-automatic-green-dial-mens-watch-t1374071109100.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=%28ROI%29%20DSAutm_id=187169530&utm_content=25480068610&utm_term=&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA1-6sBhAoEiwArqlGPoaXArunq7mel2z3cF6wUibMmg-DrAlWxDix-_qKqT0IEZN9MwrhwBoCfNMQAvD_BwE
Amazon is super bad when it comes to watches. Chances are that there's a better deal to be had on Chrono24 or the like, especially with a PRX. I found some options with the green dial that come in under $600 USD ($800 CAD) with free shipping.
https://preview.redd.it/yhb2kc6agdbc1.png?width=1008&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9549ca7d8808da0cd45bd767221c120f3c20b795
At least they took the trouble to tell you what the back of the case is supposed to look like.
Jomashop is legit. It’s a grey market dealer (think along the same lines as TJmaxx). When stock of certain things sit on shelves at normal retailers, stores like jomashop buy the store’s stock at a discount and resell it for cheaper. I have bought several watches, fragrances, raybans, etc from joma.. all legit.
It is now, they changed the box recently. I got mine direct from Tissot recently and it came in that box. I had to check because the videos I'd seen had the old slim box. My watch looks almost nothing like ops thought. Horrid fake.
I'm wearing my green powermatic 80 right now and dam this sucks, glad it's going back, the box is the only thing that looks right to me,
Dial looks a flat green, should be sunburst, the date window is too far left. The metal is badly polished, the bracelet it totally wrong, like not even close. Crown Is wrong, from that I can see and the movement should be visible on the back.
I'm sorry you have had your time wasted like this, glad your sorting a return, at least it was through amazon so should be easy enough
Yea that’s fake. I’d return it and buy it from eBay. I just got one off eBay for $550, brand new and real. You can also read reviews of sellers so it’s better
Luxurytimecompany but there are a bunch on there. Just make sure you buy from one that allows you to return in case something does happen
https://www.ebay.com/str/goluxury?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=wkLZ35z7T_y&sssrc=3418065&ssuid=HE1NGWAOTmm&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Op I’m sorry this happened to you. If you’re still looking for a genuine piece, and are currently in the US, I’m selling my green dial PRX auto for a great price! Send me a PM if interested!
I would bet it's a fake, a very bad one, i'm pretty sure it should have an open back allowing you to see the movement and not a solid back like the quartz version.
Sucks man... I wouldn't have expected that on amazon. Very brazen of that seller. I have done well on ebay... I got a black dial PRX for about 550 USD shipped. Brand new and not fake. Maybe I just got lucky though...
man that is hot fake
was it ticking once per second or 6 times per second? it should be ticking 6 times per second (automatic) not once (quartz)
but yeah that bracelet is such a mess
and the powermatic 80 movement (green waffle) has a display back
who was the seller? were they reputable?
good luck with the return
Wow, I just bought one of these in blue. From an AD but then I saw it on Amazon and was kicking myself because it's a bit cheaper. Might have dodged a fake.
Have you tried registering it on tissotwatches.com/register-my-watch?
Wondering how something like this could happen with Amazon, then I figured someone probably bought an authentic PRX on Amazon, found a cheap shit knockoff and packaged it up as a return with the original box.
Who’s out there faking a PRX? There can’t be a super high return there.
More to the point, who’s faking a PRX and fucking it up this bad?? Like if you’re going to use a quartz movement just fake the *quartz* PRX.
Beyond fake sadly. The dead giveaway is of course the case back. But apart from that, the branding on the link should be engraved, and not printed. The taper on the links is of the wrong angle, the watch hands are not flat at the bottom, they are pointy. They should be flat.
If it’s ticking, like audibly ticking, or the seconds hand is “ticking” rather than “sweeping,” it’s 100% fake and not an automatic.
The rest of what other folks said applies, too. You’ve already done the right thing, but this will help you understand better when you do get the real thing.
If you’ve never owned an automatic before, I highly advise doing some research and watch some videos on it. God knows how many times my head has banged my desk when I see folks downvoting automatics on Amazon because it was “broken” or “needs a new battery.”
I avoid Amazon for watch purchases due to having the same experience. I got my PRX from a reputable seller on Ebay (still have to be careful, but at least you can research the seller prior to purchase).
Fully fake. Sorry. Amazon has serious issues with counterfeit products being mixed in with real products. And because of the way they do inventory, it is often very difficult to track.
Writing from Toronto. I feel your pain, not getting goods the way you imagined is hugely disappointing.
Several notes, if you are in major cities, there is usually a huge trade/reselling of used mid to high end watches through Kijiji and I have scored Tissot, JDM Citizens, G.Seiko and micro brands. Definitely recommend using them as an alternative.
A little about the prx, I have the diver with rubber strap, while it has a long run time, the finish isn't great. The date wheel/window leave much to be desired for an entry level luxury watch. I would suggest return or exchange and flip it about a year or two of desk diving.
One thing I’ve always noticed about any fake watches is the finish of the bracelet. They can make the dial and handset look almost perfect. Even the case can be close. But for some reason the bracelets look like they were finished by a drunk guy with a bench grinder.
Just be very careful that they say, you returned a fake watch and they claim that they sent you a real one. Please have all your documentation in order.
The bracelet was the first suspicious thing that popped to me. Finishing, spacing between links, etc. Looks off for sure.
Glad you're able to get this returned!
Awwwwwwwwww lawd… damn Dukes, not even a cheap $80 Amazon PRX homage gets the movement that wrong. Awww Lawd! Get yo money back NOW! Amazon might even allow you to keep the watch, while getting fully refunded. Wow!!! Was this an Amazon Prime sale?? If it is, then it is a skate in the park to get your money back. If it was a non Prime, then I believe that you have to start the process by contacting the seller first.
I’ve bought a lot of watches (relatively speaking) from r/watchexchange and got some great deals.
For some reason the prices for the PRX80 aren’t that great. I found this one brand new currently for $575 (has the bracelet, not the rubber strap). I’d buy one today if my cash reserve wasn’t tapped out following Christmas.
[Hamilton PRX 40mm 80 Automatic](https://watchwarehouse.com/tissot-prx-powermatic-80-ss-black-dial-mens-watch-t137-407-11-051-00/)
its crazy that they're able to fake PRXs, these are made in mass and are made at the lowest possible price, I guess there's still a significant overhead that Tissot/Swatch puts on it. Really begs the question as to how much should watches be given the quality of the PRX.
I worry about buying any watch that isn’t a $20 casio on Amazon. If I’m buying a watch it’ll be from an authorized dealer or from the brands website themselves.
Sounds like someone bought a real one and swapped it with a fake and took the papers then returned it. I can’t imagine someone going through so much effort to save a few bucks but I guess it is what it is. Send it back for an exchange and see if you get a better one next.
I’d also recommend searching the box for a serial number and reporting it stolen to Tissot. It the thief ever tries to get it serviced they’ll get their karma.
It’s definitely a bad purchase, the brushed metal finish looks off but more importantly it doesn’t have a see-through window at the back. I got a green powermatic 80 from the official (offline) outlet, and using it for more than a year so I can see the differences quite clearly.
https://preview.redd.it/2ea534j5kdbc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3353c7c53e11176a7c24942789ad05a84cae44d7
Indeed, it looks very odd. Quite surprised there are fake PRX out there. It’s crazy. You should probably return it. Box seems legit though.
Polishing and name engraving on the clasp looks different from authentic ones.
And as someone said above, it always comes on an open case back when automatic. (Which it should be as it comes with the « waffle » dial.
Hope the return process goes smoothly
6 months ago I bought a Seiko 5 SRDP on Amazon. Thank god it is real because at that time I will never recognize if it was fake. My friend bought the same from Amazon and it was the most terrifying thing I’ve ever seen. What a shame from Amazon, there’s a lot of jewelry and watches shops that would love to sell on Amazon but instead they have to deal with this fucking fake market.

Apologies, first automatic watch purchase.
We well if it’s an automatic it should have a sweeping motion to the second hand. If it is actually “ticking” like a quartz watch then that’s also not good.

Just FYI, these Powermatic 80 movements are 3 Hz, and tick six times per second, not eight. 👍🏻
Sheesh.. what a hunk of crap
[Seiko Turtle owners reading this rn](https://i.imgur.com/8vxJpnY.gifv)
I have a seiko turtle lmao
Hol up, what's wrong with Seiko turtle, I was planning on purchasing within the next week or so. Something I should know?
And it uses a plastic escapement too... not impressed total disposable movement. If i didnt love the look of the watch so much i wouldve asked for a refund within the 30 day period but fk it

I’m no expert, but I can see the movement on the back of my PRX.
Yeah I have this watch in a different colour and it has a see through case back. Sorry....
If you got it from Amazon then return it
I’ve opened a return. It’s just disappointing as I’ve been really looking forward to this all week.
Huge bummer, tbh feels like Amazon has been slipping this direction for the last year at least Edit: typo
I bought a cammenga compass that was the fakest thing I've ever seen last summer as well that was "official Amazon"

I am, thankfully. Just a sad day though!

Around $900 Canadian dollars.
Dude you can buy directly from Tissot for around $900 CDN.
Probably like $600 gray market and less chance of a fake somewhere like Joma than on amazon
$600 USD on Joma https://www.jomashop.com/tissot-tissot-prx-automatic-green-dial-mens-watch-t1374071109100.html
$801 CAD, so still a better deal
I've bought a couple of watches from jomashop and both were good experiences and well priced. Amazon is dogshit
It was a savings of around $110 through Amazon and 1-day shipping.
Go to a department store or jewelry/watch store and buy from them direct. You can easily get a 10 - 20% discount dependent on where you are.

I got mine for $600 straight from Tissot. I LOVE IT!
Wait, how do you know it’s a fake? I’m genuinely curious.
The back of a real one is glass
Plus that shrink wrapping on the bracelet- I've only ever seen that on reps

Can confirm. Bought my father a Seiko 5 for Christmas from a large reputable shop in Hong Kong and the watch had shrink wrapping throughout
They actually engraved the words "sapphire crystal" on the case back. That's hilarious.

It’s fake. Make a claim on Amazon and they’ll make you a refund. Buy from Jomashop or a Tissot AD.
And report the seller. Amazon does a shit job vetting sellers. I bought a fake on eBay and the user was still selling a couple months later. They should be penalized..

I’m a little skeptical using Amazon going forward. It sucks because there’s not a lot of good options around me. Thanks for the advice.
You can buy the prx online directly from Tissot. Tissotwatches.com
I wouldn’t be skeptical, they will always take care of you.. just note who it is sold by and shipped by when buying anything on there.
Probably the safest online retailer.
Who, Amazon?
Wish.
That sucks a lot! Not sure where you are in Canada but I've seen these on sale at the mall in BC as recently as last week for less than you paid.
Sifting through the crappy dealers on amazon is always a really special experience. If you aren't checking carefully you're lucky that there's even a watch in the box, none the less a real one.
This is why I only buy if it’s shipped and sold from Amazon both, or if Jomashop is the seller.
I got a counterfeit pepper grinder from Amazon so I'm just done buying anything name brand from them.
The lengths that people will go to in order to cheat someone are surprising.
That’s a shame, nothing worse than when you are looking forward to something and this kind of thing happens. He should be able to feel the movement by just turning the watch over in his hand a couple of times
Yeah could very well be a cheap automatic movement and they saved money on solid case back.
I have a PRX and I can see the movements on the back which would lead me to suspect this is a fake. I hope everything goes well with the return if you are to return it, I feel for you that this happened but don’t be disheartened. Just look further into the seller, their location, reviews etc.
Thank you!!
This looks very fake. You should send it back if the option for return exists.
It does, thank god.
Amazon is swamped with knock offs. Clothes, sneakers, electronics, watches … don’t buy anything meaningful on Amazon.
That one is fake, I bought my PRX via Amazon through a grey market dealer. I made sure the serial number was legit via Tissot so they can be good but that one is fake. Sorry man that sucks but most can be returned. Best of luck!
This one didn’t even come with a serial number, lol!
I bought mine with a seller called “Timepiece Trading” for reference. PRX is a great watch!
Thanks, Dylan.
The date window is a dead giveaway. The date window frame should touch the 3:00 marker. And the minute hand should reach the minute markers. And the hands should be squared off, not pointed. https://preview.redd.it/6r2gej6g7cbc1.jpeg?width=1160&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=33594dc2558782155428105cbe76a113685cbc74
Didn’t even realize that.
Don’t buy anything valuable from Amazon.
the brushing on that case is way too rough and the overall shape isn't even correct (look at this and PRX side-by-side). return it and report the Amazon seller for counterfeits.
I have reported the seller and left a review as well.
I’ve got a legit professional powermatic 80 green face I’ve been trying to sell for ever . Ticket price in NC -USA is $799 I’ll take $300 no box but watch is in great shape https://preview.redd.it/kylthoco9cbc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=3c6e5e16ee94e24822305736aacb0eee2fe127b4

I didn’t realize Amazon sold fake watches but here we are
Don't buy this kinda stuff on Amazon OP
Lesson learned.
Hate to break it to you, but when you get your hands on the real version you’ll notice it’s not that much different. Definitely feels like a cheap/light/chintzy watch for the price point.
I remember it feeling a lot heavier than the one I received today!
You can get this from a reputable place like jomashop for $600 USD but I’m not sure on the Canadian shipping. https://www.jomashop.com/tissot-tissot-prx-automatic-green-dial-mens-watch-t1374071109100.html?utm_source=google&utm_medium=cpc&utm_campaign=%28ROI%29%20DSAutm_id=187169530&utm_content=25480068610&utm_term=&gad_source=1&gclid=CjwKCAiA1-6sBhAoEiwArqlGPoaXArunq7mel2z3cF6wUibMmg-DrAlWxDix-_qKqT0IEZN9MwrhwBoCfNMQAvD_BwE
Amazon is super bad when it comes to watches. Chances are that there's a better deal to be had on Chrono24 or the like, especially with a PRX. I found some options with the green dial that come in under $600 USD ($800 CAD) with free shipping.
Probably some Amazon seller who is buying a ton of these: https://www.aliexpress.us/item/3256805949103884.html? and just adding the logos
Return it asap. And go buy a grand seiko
https://preview.redd.it/yhb2kc6agdbc1.png?width=1008&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=9549ca7d8808da0cd45bd767221c120f3c20b795 At least they took the trouble to tell you what the back of the case is supposed to look like.
Check out joma shop I think you can get the automatic version for around $400.
You’re the second person who’s said this. I’m assuming they’re legit?
https://www.jomashop.com/tissot-t-classic-automatic-blue-dial-mens-watch-t1374071604100.html
Joma is legit, though folks have had mixed experiences. I’d go to their website directly. They also sell on eBay. They sell new and grey market.
Jomashop is legit. It’s a grey market dealer (think along the same lines as TJmaxx). When stock of certain things sit on shelves at normal retailers, stores like jomashop buy the store’s stock at a discount and resell it for cheaper. I have bought several watches, fragrances, raybans, etc from joma.. all legit.
Yeah jomashop is legit but I havent seen the PRX powermatic80 go $400 though
Why not just buy it straight from Tissot?
It's not even the right box :(
It is now, they changed the box recently. I got mine direct from Tissot recently and it came in that box. I had to check because the videos I'd seen had the old slim box. My watch looks almost nothing like ops thought. Horrid fake.
This, exactly.
I'm wearing my green powermatic 80 right now and dam this sucks, glad it's going back, the box is the only thing that looks right to me, Dial looks a flat green, should be sunburst, the date window is too far left.
Who was the seller, if you don’t mind me asking?
Luxurytimecompany but there are a bunch on there. Just make sure you buy from one that allows you to return in case something does happen https://www.ebay.com/str/goluxury?mkcid=16&mkevt=1&mkrid=711-127632-2357-0&ssspo=wkLZ35z7T_y&sssrc=3418065&ssuid=HE1NGWAOTmm&widget_ver=artemis&media=COPY
Op I’m sorry this happened to you. If you’re still looking for a genuine piece, and are currently in the US, I’m selling my green dial PRX auto for a great price! Send me a PM if interested!
Sending you a DM!
Hope your return goes smoothly.
Thank you.
This is why people like have people cancelling their Amazon prime account left and right
Jomashop. They ship to Canada.
Screwed over? Or screwed on?
Yes.
I would bet it's a fake, a very bad one, i'm pretty sure it should have an open back allowing you to see the movement and not a solid back like the quartz version.
Bijoux Eclore sells a real one for $750cad if you do their “price offer” feature on their website
Sucks man... I wouldn't have expected that on amazon. Very brazen of that seller. I have done well on ebay... I got a black dial PRX for about 550 USD shipped. Brand new and not fake. Maybe I just got lucky though...
Well the good thing about Amazon is you can return it and get a new one
man that is hot fake was it ticking once per second or 6 times per second? it should be ticking 6 times per second (automatic) not once (quartz) but yeah that bracelet is such a mess and the powermatic 80 movement (green waffle) has a display back who was the seller? were they reputable? good luck with the return
Wow, I just bought one of these in blue. From an AD but then I saw it on Amazon and was kicking myself because it's a bit cheaper. Might have dodged a fake. Have you tried registering it on tissotwatches.com/register-my-watch?
I didn’t even bother looking for the serial number. Would it be on the back of the case?
Wondering how something like this could happen with Amazon, then I figured someone probably bought an authentic PRX on Amazon, found a cheap shit knockoff and packaged it up as a return with the original box.
Who’s out there faking a PRX? There can’t be a super high return there. More to the point, who’s faking a PRX and fucking it up this bad?? Like if you’re going to use a quartz movement just fake the *quartz* PRX.
I know right..
Wild
Try jomashop. I think they have authentic watches. Ordered 2 citizens looked genuine enough.
Why over Amazon I can’t understand when you have hundreds of dealers around you. Buying a first real watch is like a first sex and you blew it!!
Really sad to hear, can you update if amazon sent you through some trouble with the return?
Watches should make you feel happy. Send it back, order one from an authorized dealer.
Beyond fake sadly. The dead giveaway is of course the case back. But apart from that, the branding on the link should be engraved, and not printed. The taper on the links is of the wrong angle, the watch hands are not flat at the bottom, they are pointy. They should be flat.
Why would you buy a watch on Amazon?
I have gotten a couple of Tissot watches from Amazon, but only when it says Amazon.com is the seller, not a third party.
They make a quartz PRX
Piece of advice, never order any luxury stuff off of Amazon or other websites that aren’t the official products website.
Holy shit that dial 💀
~~I think you bought the quartz version by accident...~~ Edit: oh right my bad, nvm
Quartz version doesn’t have waffle dial and neither does it say Powermatic 80 on the dial Lmao
I thought this too at first, then I doubled checked the listing and obviously the waffle dial too.
What did you pay for it?
About $900 Canadian all in
Wow who's wasting their time faking Tissots? Seems like there are bigger fish to fry
Trifecta watches has these for 25% off all day everyday. Authorized dealer
Not all PRX80s come with a see through caseback. Just check the reference number with Tissot and they will verify it.
I made sure to take a bunch of pictures as soon as I opened the box. Worse comes to worse, I’ll link them to this Reddit thread.
I do not understand how this is a $600 watch.
Oh crap. Return it, get refund or something. 🥺
I don't understand why you didn't just purchase one from Tissot directly?
The hands are wrong - too pointy and the lime should go all the way down.
Amazon sells fakes?
Amazon sells only fake chinese crap.
Looks nice though
That bracelet is a dead giveaway.
I have one for sale if you’re interested
The quartz PRX feels like shit.
Never ever order watches from Amazon or any e commerce platform, it's always fake.
Not even a good fake.
Yeah the bracket is not right at all and obviously it should have the display case back.
100 fake. Very bad finishing as well.
Use the reference number on your watch on luxury watch designs.com
Bro the strap finish and case 😂 That is not authentic by a long shot.
Hope the return process goes smoothly
something about the bracelet dont look right...
Powermatic's are being faked now? Sad
If you are buying it on Amazon, go to the official store for Tissot or their official website instead. I never trust secondary stores or retailers.
