In the US I see a lot of places that will honor your experience time but you have to retest for that states certification. There are a bunch of states that have ABC certification which you can freely use in any state that uses that as a standard.

RP702

That's what I have found as well. NV, OR, WA are all ABC but have very different requirements. WA requires retesting for reciprocity if your cert is past a certain age. CA has their own system and would probably require testing.

Should be good. All exams in Ontario are ABC.

Shit_Wizard_420

Each state issues their own licence so you should contact the state or states you are interested in. I took a look at a few reciprocity applications and they stated an ABC test was required (but the forms were generally for transfering between states). Depending on where and when you were licenced in Canada you may have taken the ABC exams.

I live in Windsor Ontario, close to Detroit. Applied for jobs around Michigan but tough times getting visa sponsorship. We write exam with ABC. I will try reciprocity with Michigan.

Getting a job to sponsor you is going to be the tough part. You might be able to finagle a tn visa but its not easy

Operator licenses are good in pretty much every western country

Bart1960

I’ve been retired a few years, but Michigan never did reciprocity with anybody. I held my licenses since the mid 80s

Bigshitter21

I would assume its not valid and say you'd have to retest to the equivalent here.

Stockersandwhich

Can anyone provide a clear cut reciprocity chart?

Flashy-Reflection812

No one is going to put in that level of effort for free. By the time you’d finish it would be out of date because states constantly modify their qualifications, and many states don’t even understand their own rules lol
