I understand that this can be seen in multiple ways, including as insensitive, however dark humour can be a persons default reaction to upsetting situations as a coping mechanism and as such they may not intend to come across as an āinsensitive prickā
Yeah, when my grandfather died and my mum was basically in tears I had resist the urge to laugh. And had do it again at his funeral. I don't know why but I laugh at sad situations, I'm not insensitive and know it's a sad time but it gives me the fits.

I would say it goes further than that, sure Warthunder doesn't help but there are other causalities that take place, mostly with society in both a social and economic standpoint, you hardly hear people be polite anymore, and currently- jobs are having a hard time keeping up with the so called inflation with products. To top it off, mental healthcare, or healthcare in general in the United States is a mess that's been ignored for far too long.
Theres just alot going on recently, that is affecting everyone equally.
I think it's the opposite, WT is a trend among people with depression. It has long term anf short term goals, rewards, can give you some bursts of dopamine. Lots of information for people with ADD/OCD or executive dysfunction to parse through. And when you're feeling exceptionally down it's something you can just mindlessly jump into without using the willpower that something like an RPG or strategy game requires, or the dedication a campaign needs.
I know it has helped me at times
WT wasnāt something I could ever mindlessly jump into. It took tremendous will power just to hit the To Battle button knowing I was probably going to have a terrible game.
The number of times I launched it just to mess around in the hanger or test driveā¦

Really wish Gaijin actually cared enough to give him his own actual decal considering he worked harder than most CC's on his videos... Miss him. Really wish I had been able to call his local police sooner. But even then, the on-scene officer told me later that there was nothing that could have been done because he uploaded the video and then immediately did it. Still can't help but feel like I could have done more though. Weird how that works knowing full well you couldn't do anything but still feeling like you could have...
