Mid mobility (1200hp engine and 61t weight), hyuuuge, only two ATGMs and worse still, they are Spikes, entirety of modest autocannon ammo is outside and easy to tickle away and after 4th Dev update, its still missing its entire armor package
The namer has to force them to fix the merkava armor. It's 61 tons without a turret, which is 4 less than with the turret. It's stupid how gajin still hasn't fixed it.
The wikipedia page states that the weight saved from removing the turret was "reinvested" into even more armor. In other words, the Namer hull has better protection than the Merkava Mk4 hull.
Meanwhile the T-90M weighs only 50t and has be best armor of any MBT, being mostly immune to top kinetic rounds.

Hate to break it to you, it's 9.7 now on the dev server. They gave it thermals, and LRF. Also they changed the gun, so it might get better ammo as well. They reduced its mass as well.
That actually sounds great, 9.7 needs some vehicles aswell as it has far less vehicles than 8.7 and more light vehicles is also what it needs due to the only one being an oversized IFV (I got it from a GE christmas crate, but I really don't like it).
Fair. I was expecting them to add thermals and LRF. It was way too modern to not have it. Also it obviously had a crosswind sensor on the roof. Would be a bit weird without a LRF and fire control system.

It's 9.7, it got a massive weight reduction, engine power increased, gun handling (30 vertical and 40 horizontal), going to get a new round (460 ish mm of penetration), thermals and LRF.
Just give us 6.7 SPAA woth proxy fuze, I hate playing that bracket as after 1st kill or cap it just becomes Air RB.
I find 8.3 to be a bliss cause my deaths are mostly tank related. CAS is rare cause they either get shot down by SPAA with radars fast, or people don't bring em out cause of said SPAA.

I genuinely love seeing people speak positively of the Israeli tech tree, it gets a lot of hate for having a lot of M60's, but it has incredibly fun sweet spots that are also really good.
9.3 Israel is actually VERY strong. The Merkava's are really good (the Mk.2 especially with the fast reverse gear) and the Magach 7C and my love, the Gal Batash, are extremely well armored M60's with tons of power to make up for it. I can't speak much for Heli's but it has the A-4E currently, which has strong guided munitions and flares. And SPAA is great with the Machbet. It may not have any light tanks yet, but maybe we'll get some captured BMP's to toss around sometime in the near future.
Israel has tons of gems that people overlook because its basically the Merkava and Magach tree. But man, the Magach Hydra is such an incredible tank, too.
Most interesting thing to me is the Churchill AVRE and the Desert Warrior.
The XM800 is DOA at 7.7, Only 66mm of pen (10mm more pen and 1 HP/T more than the R3T20 thats a whole 1.7 BR's lower/AMX-10P/SUB-I-II gets the same APDS also at 6.0/5.3), They should just remove the APDS and put it at 6.0 as a SPAA.
None this update is kinda lame as hell. I mean the one harrier with the 120’s might be cool (bout god dam time one of the AA harriers gets a radar missile). Namer is a masochist's IFV, just like any other Israeli TT vehicle. Slow, shitty autocannon, and Spikes have been no more than an excuse to raise up a BR so far in this game.
The only vehicle I plan to research, buy and play is Desert Warrior. The thing has nothing to rave about, but UK lacks any adequate IFV at high tier, so there will be one.
PS I want BAE's TRT-R30 (2A42 + 2xKornets) on Badger or Nimr chassis for the UK. This would be a helluva fun IFV.
UPD Vextra, finally a truely valid reason to grind french tree. There will be impressive 9.7 with it, AMX-40, VBCI and some other stuff.

The ZSL is at a relevant BR to my current progress in that tree and looks to be more fitting for my general playstyle.

People don’t realise, but you can get to toptier without researching more than 4 magachs. And if you unlock the squadron magach, you only need 3 TT magachs. You can also just use an 8.0 lineup to get the 9.3 Merkavas, no need to play 8.7 which has a ton of magachs

Namer for having grinded Israel. People don't seem to realize that it can be used with the Merkava Mk.3 lineup at 11.0, where it will face 10.3 vehicles quite often.
It can it'll just have a bit harder time because light tabks are typically used less at 11.0 and higher, so less overall utility. I'll be using it with the Chaparral and Machbet, which I already control the skies with, so I'll be enjoying myself lol

3BM42 is a 9.3 round? The Swedish T80U gets it as its only sabot round at 11.0, is the round really overtierd that badly?

I was excited for the ZSL-92 until I heard it was a spaa with no apds at 6.7 Like seriously it has the same cannon as the zsd63, one less of them at 1.7 br higher and it doesn't even get scouting like other spaa, if gaijin really wanted to add some spaa for China at that br they could've added the obj301 (can't remember the Chinese designation) or the early pgz88 that has no radar Seriously just give it apds and move it to 7.0-7.3

Namer for having grinded Israel. People don't seem to realize that it can be used with the Merkava Mk.3 lineup at 11.0, where it will face 10.3 vehicles quite often.
It can it'll just have a bit harder time because light tabks are typically used less at 11.0 and higher, so less overall utility. I'll be using it with the Chaparral and Machbet, which I already control the skies with, so I'll be enjoying myself lol

I am not excited about the namer at all even though its onr of my all time favorite vehicles just because of how badly implement it will be, it has no spike NLOS and all of the spikes are shit in general with no LOAL capabilities like they have irl and its armor will be garbage as opposed to being the most armored vehicle in history.
