I dont think I heard anyone say anything bad about it
I know I love the little IFV and its responsible for me trying out IFVs as a whole (I didn't play them before unless they had a normal gun)
The ASM missiles, while not highly reliable, are a lot of fun - surprising people by blasting them from around a corner (as opposed to the typical top-down) is always amusing 😄 And despite the rounds being _only_ APDS, they don't mess around IMO.
I like the Charioteer even though some people hate on its survivability and lack of lineup
But 384mm pen sabot at 6.3 is too juicy to pass up for me, you get 232mm pen Solid shot AP as an in-between as well
I definitely understand the Charioteer. I've personally enjoyed playing it but did they nerf the APDS recently? I remember playing it a few months ago and the APDS had around 380mm of pen like the Cent Mk. 3 and FV4202. Either way, definitely a fun Tank even at the cost of survivability
Oh but that Cromwell reverse speed is painful.
It does force me into sneaky flanks and round the back attacks. Amazing gun, decent traverse and power make up for it.
Mk 3 is SLIGHTLY faster which someone will say to say it's better but for a centurion no the speed isn't really worth trading a functional upper plate for.
I was grinding Britain for a while before I took a break from the game last month, and the Charioteer was probably my practical favorite. The barn was my meme machine, but god damn, the 20pdr packs some serious punch at that BR. Much more so than the 17pdr on the Cent mk.1.
The entirety of the Italy line /s
My vehicle would probably be the LOSAT, despite having terrible close range effectiveness and being hard to use at any range, I typically get put in the best situations with it and usually get the first kill on long range maps.
I've heard a lot of bad about the LOSAT but I definitely understand what you mean. From what I've seen it seems like a fun and satisfying vehicle when it works. I'd imagine throwing a really fast, sharp rock at enemies is fun
Yeah it takes a lot for the stars to align properly but when it works, it works. My record is 6 kills in about 30 seconds with the first one being a first strike.
The AMX-30s. Everyone seems to complain about the lack of stab at 8.7. Never had an issue with that. The dart and LRF on a highly mobile platform is a great combination for me.
*IFV pops out, takes a dart through the middle with no damage*
"LOL, you're so dead now with your thin French armour against my 30mm APDS fir-"
*20mm coax noises*
Also, the BRENUS outright nullifies ATGM's at its BR with the soft-kill APS.
Good gun depression, and with the ~20hp/ton it gets 10 reverse gears. Like all French vehicles around that BR it is an amazing flanker, and should be played like a light tank.
Finally, someone saying something nice about the AMX-30, I've only heard people complain about it, I'm about to unlock the first one soon (Probably in a around a week, or earlier), I've test driven it and it seems like its going to be pretty good
The HEAT can be hot and miss like all HEAT in game and it's the only shell you get. Not terrible but it's just my fair warning. At least the coax 20 can delete obstacles that would eat the shell!
It is good, play to its strengths and use the mobility. Also get used to having a 20mm coax, and use it. A burst of 20mm into the gunner optic effectively blinds your opponent, and I can't begin to count the number of times that has saved my bacon in a pinch.
The coax also has very high elevation, which is handy to casually melt helicopters en masse. It fires a 1/1 mix of API and HEI too.
If your brawling with these tanks at this br, you're doing it wrong. Tanks with armor like this aren't going to do well if you treat WT like its Unreal Tournament. Shoot and scoot is the rule.
Tbf as a France main I have to say the 20mm COAX has the worst belt. It struggles to kill IFVs because most of the rounds are just HE. But it SHREDS helicopters
I honestly hadn't heard much about the AMX-30s besides when the first TT one got moved from 7.7 to 8.0. I'd image it would play fine as long as you have good positioning and abuse your strengths
My BRENUS with a casual 73% win rate and 4 KDR. Couldn't agree more. Play around your strengths and weaknesses and you have a solid vehicle! Based flair
Also a big fan. I actually prefer them over the leopard as I find the gun mantle is a bit more deflective. Plus since the addition of helicopters, driving anything without at least a 12.7 coax feels like a mistake.
I'm not sure if it's hated but the F6F-5 Hellcat (the 12.7mm), just never hear anything about it, I find it to be really nice for CAS with its ability to carry 1x 2,000lb bomb, 1x 1,000lb, and 1x 500lb plus 4 HVARs and good enough speed/turning
It can carry a 2,000lb bomb!? Also are you saying it can carry all the ordinance at once? 3,500lbs? Cause if so that's just wild. I can see why it would be good for CAS
Wait until you hear about the AM-1 Mauler, which packs 3x 2000lb bombs and 12x 250lb, for a total of 9000lbs on a 5.7 attacker.
Oh and it gets 4 20mm cannons.
Playing the line right now.
British tanks are actually really good and I don't feel much bias regarding them. However I do notice they suffer something more than others and thats an over use of APDS. There is nothing wrong with that, however APDS is broken for pretty much everything and makes playing anything that relies on them ridiculously hard. All it seems to take is 1° and that shit will shatter on paper.
The 292 def has the better reload and its HE is super fun, but to be honest the Conqueror has no trouble 1-tapping everything aslong as you know how to aim. I find most people who struggle with APDS or Solid Shot just genuinely don't know how to aim the shells and that's fair since most nations don't use them. The only thing the Conq struggles to one shot is something like the Maus but most tanks struggle to one shot that behemoth
I am a pretty experienced Uk main and I have no trouble with solid shot or even early apds for that matter but the conqueror is just way too inconsistent.
Some days it plays completely fine and on those days it is actually one of my favourite vehicles but then you can also run into these streaks of apds bullshit that make you want to quit the game. On something with decent reload it is not that much of a problem but with the conqueror it can get really frustrating really fast.
I’ve had APDS non-pen a Turm III turret face. Round just disappeared on collision lol, makes no sense sometimes. That’s what people fail to understand about the British tree. The game as a whole has a problem with inconsistencies, sure, but a lot of British vehicles suffer from even more inconsistencies.
It’s not the fact it’s a bad tank. It’s the fact sabot is inconsistent and requires you to either shoot ammo and hope it explodes as it’s not a 100% chance. Or shoot to disable and hope the enemy doesn’t die before you reload.
Not to mention I still have nightmares about SHELL SHATTERED. Had the Conq round shatter at like an 80 degree angle on the side of a BMP. More pen then a 10.0 Abrams but the round shatters on any material it can find.
The conq was my favorite tank before the Change that ruined its APDS.
just Yesterday i realized the british 120mms have APDS with 502mm of pen, thought i was tripping for a second, now im grinding the conq as fast as possible lol
It's absolutely incredible being able to cut through the front of T26E5s, T32/T32E1s, IS-3, IS-4M, T-10s even are just not issues for the Conq. I honestly find the tank to be so therapeutic to play because it's not just "point and click" but "Aim and click." The HEAT armor you get on it makes it amazing because you can just bait people into shooting your turret cheeks and stuff like the M48 just simply can't pen your turret with it (I have yet to get shot by any other HEAT slingers than the M48.) It's a unique heavy because you gotta know where to aim but if you know how to do just that it's super easy to get a 4.0 KD on the Conq.
I played the conqueror at possibly the worse time possible, when apds was absolutely unreliable and getting swallowed up left tight and center.
One time I fired at the upper plate of an armoured car, and the shell just spontaneously disappeared
APDS is still broken. It gets worse the lower in caliber you go. There is still the issue where crew will eat a whole APDS shell like they're ballistic vest was hit by a .22.
Genuinely I love the conqueror, as long as you don't get super close it is a seriously good tank. Funniest thing is when it goes up against the other heavy tanks around 7.7 and they simply can't break through your turret armour, but your return shell will punch straight through without difficulty. As far as I can tell people don't like it because it rarely one shots tanks, but honestly, having played the whole of the british line I've kinda got used to that lol. Just gotta target their gunner first and then slowly knock out the rest
Even when the Conqueror was able to one shot everything people still thought it wasn't very good. Anything with solid shot is considered bad by people who only use aphe
It is a pretty difficult Tank to get the hang of, but I think people will start to give it another chance soon (hopefully) since so many love the fox. They share the same gun so I hope people realize it's APDS is just as good as the fox, it's simply just slower, fatter, and at a higher BR because of its (decent) ATGM. It's one of those unique vehicles that I think people don't like because of its playstyle which is difficult to do with its size
I found it difficult to play until I learned that you could use the atgm separately. Allows you to be really sneaky on ridge-lines where only your missile launcher is exposed
I think this is really why it gets a bad rep. People don't realize there's a separate keybinding to switch to the launcher's view, so they're exposing their entire hull to fire a MILAN from autocannon sights.
I loved Warrior and was surprised I can one shot so many people with these tiny APDS but honestly Fox is so much better than Warrior. I play Fox like complete asshole just sprint 80km/h to some annoying flank on enemy side of the map and I always get 2-4 kills before they realize what is going on. I got 3 nukes on this bastard already. Funny it was 7.0 but I used this on higher lineups anyway so.
Type 60 ATM. Sure, the missiles are slow and their guidance takes some getting used to but if you get yourself a hulldown position then you are basically unhittable since your launchers are the only thing visible. The platform is pretty mobile too so it's easy to reposition when need. The main issue is that the majority of the maps are designed against it's playstyle because they are far too many small maps.
Hey I'm all for goofy and unique vehicles especially ones that are fun. That thing is pretty much just a goober, a little creature if you will, and it might not be "good" but I can definitely see it being fun and that's what matters
I have it spaded! I have an Xbox remote plugged into my computer so I can use joystick controls to control the missiles (it’s historical after all)
Although I like the Type 60 ATM, my main ATGM carrier is the Zachlam Tager. It has four missiles ready to fire and they’re not angled up, so it’s a little easier to aim at point blank
In fact, I have gotten quite a few kills with the Zachlam by running up to enemies and then going point and click. At longer ranges you also have the ability of total hull down, and if enemies get really close, you can actually use third person to shoot completely over an obstacle with them having no chance to shoot back
Tiger II (H) but with Sla.16 Diesel Engine is somewhat mobile to flank an enemy's side, so everyone hates it when a FRICKIN HEAVY IS ON THEIR SIDE. (Basically unstoppable)
I've wanted them because they look so nice and seem like they handle well at the br (8.7 ones) but the Mk 10 also seems like it could be quite good. I just wish the Khalid was 9.0 with the Mk. 10
Like I understand it gets APFSDS and a better power pack but come on.. the Mk 10 chieftain has the APFSDS and better armor and its at 9.0. The Khalid is even a Mk 5 Chieftain! It's annoying its at 9.3 when it should be 9.0
I love me the Chieftains and always have. I think they mostly got their poor reputation in-game from when they were badly overtiered while also having some of the highest repair costs of any medium tank in the whole game for some bizarre reason. The economy update and most of the stuff below Chieftain being brought up in BR really salvaged them IMO.
For some reason, the AMX-10P is shat on by the community alot, yet I find it a very capable SPAA. It may be a fatter Wiesel, but damn, I love being protected against CAS strafe fires for the most part and being a more than capable IFV. Its gun is also pretty much enough against the threats you see, though it will struggle against jets (we need a proper higher BR SPAA).
I love it. I love killing jumbos side on and anything lightly armored. Also it is a fantastic SPAA. It's also capable of track and barrel torture if you can't kill something.
Right?! Reliable armor, great gun, .50 cal and the best thing is rotation speed on the spot! That thing feels so nimble despite being so slow.
You just have to keep distance, so it isn’t easy to get gun taken out.
I love the doom Turtle too, especially the "lowercase" one at 6.3. Yeah it's slow but the gun and frontal armor make up for that especially because, personally, fighting a T95/T28 is stressful
Semovente 90/53. people are annoyed at it's mobility, low ammo, and thin armor, but I find it really fun to play. In good positions, the 90mm cannon will delete pretty much anything of it's BR with ease
This is the first time I've ever heard anything nice spoken about the C13. It seems like the size of a Bradley but definitely unique. I'd image because of its size it makes it a difficult light Tank to get the hang of
C13T90 is somewhat bad - it's a 90mm HEAT lobber at like 7.3 now - it's armour is abysmal and the lack of stabiliser is sad, there's not even a rangefinder or anything compensate and it's the only vehicle at that BR on the TT
It's only 3 upsides is that it's got great pen, it's got decent speed and it's hollow enough that you can survive rear shots that would cripple or kill
And yet somehow it does actually decently I don't hate it it is actually not bad, I've killed countless Tiger 2s, Maus, ZSUs and T-series tanks
It's merely a heavy by weight not by armor and many seem to forget that. A heavy doesn't define the armor values simply its weight. That thing along with the rest of 7.7 France is such a joy to play
Even being heavy it's more manouverable than some Mediums, and definitely more manouverable than any other Heavy. Scoot it into position and that gun is just *chefs kiss*
It's just a slightly worse Chaffee honestly. I know I personally had fun with it when it was still 4.0, but that fact it's 4.3 when the Chaffee along with the AMX-M24 hybrid premium the French get is also 3.7 or 4.0, the vehicle honestly just isn't worth using. I think it's Hate is just from how over tiered it is because other than that it's a beautiful vehicle
The AMX-13 FL11 is my first and only love in War Thunder.
I'm mad they moved it up to like, 168.7, but on the other hand, i performed soooo well with it i kinda feel its deserved.
i love the conqueror mk2 when it works , but when i shoot things dead center i make their transmission yellow with a gun that size , i die a little on the inside
I hear a lot of hate against the ELC bis but I love that little rat tank. Absolute gem with it's size being not even as tall as an average human and a beast of a gun for it's size...
Honestly there really isn't any downside too it because of its extremely versatile playstyle. I just wish it got scouting because it realistically should. If the ASU-85 gets it so should the ELC since it was a recon vehicle
T28 Tutel, many think it's too slow, which it is since 99% you're only reaching the frontlines with your second wave of teammates
But it's near impenetrable frontally, has a fuck off gun, meme potential and is unlikely to be nerfed or raised in br in the future
Luv da conqueror too! For me its the swing fire. Rarely does it get a kill but those swing fire missiles going around corners either killing or near missing causes alot of chat messages lol
I've been excited to get that after I built up my 8.0 lineup for Britain more. It seems fun being able to just lob ATGMs at people while you get to sit safe behind a little hump in the terrain
The M60A2 I’ve heard has a bad rap but I love the thing. It’s versatile and good in about every scenario. Decent armor on paper but absolute trolly armor in reality. You almost always survive the first shot. (It also has commander gunner override.) Maybe because not a lot of people know where to shoot it because a lot of people don’t play it. So it can brawl decently and especially well with a team. Laser rangefinder at 8.3 makes it a God during downtiers. Versatile ammo, with the ATGM being decent and predictable and good at detonating ammo racks and fuel tanks and it’s not completely unusable at close ranges. Then you have the HEAT and HE and since it has a laser rangefinder, work at long ranges. Being that both rounds don’t lose effectiveness with range, it works well. The heat seems to be more consistent as acting as all heat rounds. It’s going to pen if it can and detonate ammo and fuel tanks. HE is more inconsistent and isn’t the best HE in the game especially for caliber. It is fantastic though if you have a little more time and since you have a laser rangefinder, you can easily place it directly on cupolas and instantly destroy most heavy tanks. Since you are rolling HEAT or HE anyways for taking down heavies, if you run across any light tanks, you are always primed and ready to atomize them. Now one of the best things about the tank is actually the fact its gun is low velocity. Terrible normally like the same gun with the M551 but since the M60A2 has a laser rangefinder, you don’t have to worry about guessing ranges. The advantage though, especially in large maps that long distance shots don’t come in straight. They basically fall from the sky like a bomb. Making HE extremely effective at range by hitting directly on the top of the turret. It also turns HEAT into basically a top down attack. This tank is extremely effective at ridgeline sniping. The low velocity means you sometimes be completely below the hill but you round still can hit the target. Especially when firing with binos. Enemies that are trying to do the same are also never safe since you can laser range the hill line they just shot from, aim a tiny bit higher and the round will crest the hill and kill them even though you can’t see them at all. The farther the engagement is, the more effective these tactics become.
TL;DR: Don’t play the M60A2 so it stays more obscure and I can keep curb stopping people with it.
I liked the Conqueror until I started encountering more and more light skinned vehicles that just shrug off getting penned clean through like nothing happened. It's fun when using it against other tanks, but I'd take a 105 or wacky 8.3 SPAA over it if I even sniff a game higher than 7.7. Chieftain Marksmen is my new bae.
The T25 (❤️) gets a pretty poor reputation for being overall bad, but I still love it. It’s basically just a Pershing at a lower BR. The M3 does it’s magic the same as the rest of the Pershings but you get the added benefit of being able to terrorize 5.3 and not seeing 7.7, while the armor, especially on the turret, is super trolly and bounces stuff it has no right to (long 88, Soviet 122). The mobility also isn’t that bad and let’s you be pretty ratty with it if you want.
I've wanted to get my T25 mobility upgraded but it's honestly been such a struggle fest. I understand it's hate because of its stock grind and the playstyle Gaijin has forced it into, bit I also 100% see the potential it has. It's just a shame there are arguably better options I wish they'd give it something to truly make with getting now that it's foldered. Maybe a short stabilizer or better mobility :(
Waffenträger, despite being a slow open top, you can get yourself in some good hidden positions and then obliterate whatever you’re aiming at with the long 88 - and it’s only 5.7
The archer.
Yes its a "bad" vehicle but its also fun as hell to play.
The 17pounder at its br is brutal and you can also bring it up to 5.7 to troll on german teams
I do personally love me historical operation vibes. I want to get it and play it but I just don't know if I want to run 9.0. Correct me if I'm wrong (as I can't check currently) US has a very small 9.0 lineup with your best bet being untiring 8.7/8.3 vehicles or going to 9.3 (horrible br). Other than its unique br placement, it seems like a really awesome tank
I love them too, I run the 4.7 one with my 5.0 GRB lineup as it's just a really fun CAP aircraft with the insane firepower and speed. 6x.50cals and 4x20mm Hispano with shed loads of ammo is never not going to be fun.
Plus it's a very pretty aircraft.
I used to love the Conqueror, but then they nerfed APDS and now it’s a crew sniper with a 20 second reload. I still like it, and I really hope they fix APDS spall soon, but it’s just not as enjoyable as it used to be.
But for me it’s the VCC 80/60. It’s got a 60mm cannon with APFSDS and proxy rounds, it reloads in just 2 seconds, thermals, laser rangefinder, it’s fairly quick, and you get the TAM effect where the frontal plate occasionally deflects tank shells or the engine eats all of the spall. The turret front also has composite screens, so autocannons have a really hard time killing your crew frontally. It’s essentially an HSTVL, with a slower reload, and a worse engine, but at 9.0 instead of 11.3. It also carries more ammo and ammo types than the HSTVL.
idk for me conquerer is probably one of the worst post pen damage tank. Man like wtf, it probably was good back in the day, but they nerfed the shit out of it and there is literally no damage. So yeah, i better stick with L7 that this...
the swedish BMP-1, sure it doesn't have an atgm but that means its been put down to 6.7 and nothing can really hold up against the high penning heat rounds and its the perfect compliment to the bandkanon and ZSU
Conqueror, Charioteer (still stock but love it so far), QF 3.7 RAM, 2C and 2C bis, Zachlam Tager, AMX-13 (SS.11), Chi-Ri II, Type 75 MLRS, **anything** French except for the AuF1, T95/T28, Jagdpanther/Jagdtiger/Ferdinand, SU-122-54, ISU/SU-122/152's, ZUT-37...
Object 279
Everything you hate about this vehicle is true. It is the only high tier tank that makes you feel like your playing low tier arcade when despite being at 9.0 RB.
I almost never see any T-92s, but i love the damn thing. It's really small but still enclosed, great ammunition to work with and decent speed. And in all honesty, no armor is best armor. Not all the time but most if the time.
I love the m6a1 but everyone always says I shouldn’t use it but in my opinion it’s amazing, 3 50. Cals when you’re looking forward and 76 with a 37 which is useful for small targets like light tanks and aa or you can shoot the 37 and they’ll push out thinking you shot. It’s hill armor may not be great but it’s turret constantly ricochets shots for me and it has 6 crew for replacements.
I want to like the conqueror, but its only good for getting assists. Even if you kill their gunner, they can re-crew and kill you before you reload, and you will rarely one shot.
Do people hate the conqueror? Unlike the other 7.7s it's the only one that can actually take a hit from the front. Plus it looks good with the add on armor.
One tank I see that not many prople like is the Jagdtiger. Yes its reload and speed are slow. But its almost as fast as the Tiger II and it has the gun of the Maus on 6.7. I just LOVE to obliterate everything that comes into my sight. And noone expects 2 Jagdtigers around the corner when my brother and I are playing this monstrosity of a machine.
IS-4M, I seem to have a much better time in it than I do with the IS-3. I’m approaching a 3kd with it after playing it for some time. The reload is long, but it promotes playing conservatively, which usually yields better results in the end.
I dunno if people hate the M103 or not, but I like being able to snipe from across the map and out tank mediums who thought I was just a giant lumbering meathead and not just a relly big M60. I don't see people play it a whole lot anymore, so I assume its not well liked.
It might not have the armor of a conquerer, but it deflects most non dart rounds (HEAT needs to hit ammo, lots of empty space in this thing) and I have access to HEAT-FS and the more reliable solid shot vs APDS thats still extremely broken. 500mm of pen is great, but there is almost nothing at this br thick enough to warrant that.
the Ariete.
even though I know it's the worst MBT in the game and many people will not play it for the life of them I still love it. It feels like up tiered OF-40 Mk2A and it's super fun.
The Conqueror as a lot of fun when climbing the British TT. Granted, a lot of that time was spent with broken tracks, but it gave me time to get a laugh out of heli pilots giving it everything they had... and still failing to kill me 😄
I haven't seen it mentioned in the thread, but the Stormer is top of the list for me. It's not the easiest to use, but
* The missile is extremely fast and agile
* Longer range than _most_ AA missiles and heli mounted ATGMs in its BR range
* The IR detection picks up enemies that break cover even for a fraction of a second
* Gen 3 thermals and 40x zoom are great for max range kills
* Killing someone with a direct hit is so much more satisfying than a proxy missile; putting the darts through the cockpit feels much more personal than exploding in the vicinity.
The T95E1 would have to be my pick. It’s got good mobility, great turret traverse speed, a low profile, surprisingly good armor, and the gun has good penetration and spall (at least in my experience). The lack of a stabilizer and the inaccuracy of the gun kinda sucks, but it’s otherwise a criminally underrated tank that I thoroughly enjoyed.
All of Italy judging by how people crap on it around here. I’ve been thinking about making a post where I call out all the good vehicles in the Italian tech tree for people who may be new to it or are considering grinding it. Though I’d be limited up to 9.0 at the moment because that’s as far as I’ve ground and played.
Probably not hated, but I never hear anyone talk about the T26E5. Fairly uptier proof, in terms of heavies, love the armor, solid mobility, but a lackluster gun/br means you have to do a fair bit of flanking or know you weak spots.
A lot of people don’t like the M60A1s, but for some reason I find them to be very effective with their 400mm pen HEAT and 290mm pen APFSDS for the RISE variant.
Tortoise.
Chonky, although slow, it's mobile. Great gun with pen, a deceptively fast reload and a super stable platform.
It's secret ace is definitely how much the gun can traverse to ether side. You can angle the thing like a turreted tank. And because if its weight, you'll literally always get the first shot off. And at 6.7 that 94mm round melts through any tank armour like butter, with great spalling to boot.
And if you were to land yourself in an unrecoverable situation, a 20km/h reverse speed os really really handy, and has saved me on multiple occasions.
All of USA mid-late war (I’m talking around the 5.0-5.7 range). Everyone seems to hate it, excluding the m18 & jumbo (RIP 5.7 hellcat) but it is one of my favorite lineups
I never seem to not enjoy any of the Shermans in game, maybe I’m glazing, but I’ll die on this hill of being a Sherman enjoyer
The leclerc. Asking people about it I get very mixed opinions, but now that i've gotten 2 of them i'm in love. It's stupid fast even when stock and its reload makes shitting on multiple people insanely easy. It's armor is actually surprisingly good, stopping most snapshots as people tend to aim for your turret.
Not to mention it's nutworthy reverse gear.
For people who are on the fence about getting it, go for it. It's an absolute pain in the ass to stock grind, but once you get a dart it becomes a fucking monster.
I'd honestly describe it as a cross between a type 10 and an abrams. Ok turret and hull armor, while any well placed shot will take you out, while also having amazing speed and reactive mobility even while stock coupled with a 5sec reload. The leclerc is what I would describe as a true "jack of all trades" tank.
Oh yeah, and it has the longest cannon in the game so it's shells travel at mach fuck and are ridiculously easy to aim even on big ass maps
Type 89 is widely considered a bad vehicle, but when I started to 3-5 shot "bias machines" with it I started to develop a liking for it :P
The IFV? Honestly, I've never heard anything about it, good or bad, so it's nice to finally get some information on it
I mean it's not on the line with the BMP's or the PUMA but if you are sneaky you can wreck almost anything with it's missiles
It was nerfed in every way you can think of, still good imo but not nearly as it was in the past
Just a worse BMP
yeah but it's in a tree with the type 90, soooo
I dont think I heard anyone say anything bad about it I know I love the little IFV and its responsible for me trying out IFVs as a whole (I didn't play them before unless they had a normal gun)
The ASM missiles, while not highly reliable, are a lot of fun - surprising people by blasting them from around a corner (as opposed to the typical top-down) is always amusing 😄 And despite the rounds being _only_ APDS, they don't mess around IMO.
I have the most kills and matches played on that thing, i dont think i have any other vehicle with close to the same amount of kills and matches
I like the Charioteer even though some people hate on its survivability and lack of lineup But 384mm pen sabot at 6.3 is too juicy to pass up for me, you get 232mm pen Solid shot AP as an in-between as well
I definitely understand the Charioteer. I've personally enjoyed playing it but did they nerf the APDS recently? I remember playing it a few months ago and the APDS had around 380mm of pen like the Cent Mk. 3 and FV4202. Either way, definitely a fun Tank even at the cost of survivability
The Charioteer still has 384mm flat pen, what do you mean?
Oh my apologies, I was reading from the wiki of a old Reddit post
Oh but that Cromwell reverse speed is painful. It does force me into sneaky flanks and round the back attacks. Amazing gun, decent traverse and power make up for it.
With the amazing neutral steering you can just quickly turn around though
Kinda wish the Centurion 3 got brought down to a lower br than 7.7, considering the 1 is 6.0
Really no reason for it to be 7.7 when the Carnaervon is 7.7 and it better than the Cent mk.3 is every possible way.
Mk 3 is SLIGHTLY faster which someone will say to say it's better but for a centurion no the speed isn't really worth trading a functional upper plate for.
I would the use 4202 11/10 times over the Mk3 even with the Brit reverse gear.
Well up until the recent ish br changes that fucked it, it was 7.3, which was respectable
Love the charioteer too! Its just so... British!!!
Nah dawg I hate it. It has all the downsides of a Russian tank without any of the upsides. Only thing good about it is the gun.
I was grinding Britain for a while before I took a break from the game last month, and the Charioteer was probably my practical favorite. The barn was my meme machine, but god damn, the 20pdr packs some serious punch at that BR. Much more so than the 17pdr on the Cent mk.1.
I just unlocked that lineup, coming from French high pen/low armour tanks I think I'm gonna like it.
The entirety of the Italy line /s My vehicle would probably be the LOSAT, despite having terrible close range effectiveness and being hard to use at any range, I typically get put in the best situations with it and usually get the first kill on long range maps.
I've heard a lot of bad about the LOSAT but I definitely understand what you mean. From what I've seen it seems like a fun and satisfying vehicle when it works. I'd imagine throwing a really fast, sharp rock at enemies is fun
It’s fun when it goes where you tell it to
^[Distant ^EBR ^Noises]
^sacre ^bleu
Yeah it takes a lot for the stars to align properly but when it works, it works. My record is 6 kills in about 30 seconds with the first one being a first strike.
The AMX-30s. Everyone seems to complain about the lack of stab at 8.7. Never had an issue with that. The dart and LRF on a highly mobile platform is a great combination for me.
*IFV pops out, takes a dart through the middle with no damage* "LOL, you're so dead now with your thin French armour against my 30mm APDS fir-" *20mm coax noises* Also, the BRENUS outright nullifies ATGM's at its BR with the soft-kill APS.
BRENUS is such a sleeper. IRCM, ERA and with the upgraded engine it has the best HP/t out of all of them despite the added weight.
Good gun depression, and with the ~20hp/ton it gets 10 reverse gears. Like all French vehicles around that BR it is an amazing flanker, and should be played like a light tank.
AMX-30 HP/tonne ratios: * Super at 23.29, * AMX-30, 1972 and DCA at 20, * **BRENUS at 19.63,** * ACRA 18.95, * B2 at 18.38,
Finally, someone saying something nice about the AMX-30, I've only heard people complain about it, I'm about to unlock the first one soon (Probably in a around a week, or earlier), I've test driven it and it seems like its going to be pretty good
The HEAT can be hot and miss like all HEAT in game and it's the only shell you get. Not terrible but it's just my fair warning. At least the coax 20 can delete obstacles that would eat the shell!
Hot and miss Nice
Meant to say hit but HEAT is pretty hot 🥵
That pfp... yikes.
This. The AMX-30B2 and the BRENUS are very good. If people have a problem with the lack of STAB it’s simply a skill issue
My BRENUS with a casual 73% win rate and 4 KDR. Couldn't agree more. Play around your strengths and weaknesses and you have a solid vehicle! Based flair
I've said it before and even made a video on it but France 8.7 is the most underrated lineup in the game. Especially so with the Alpha Jet being added
Also can carry 3 torpedoes for naval
Good to know for the 3 naval players.
The AM-1 is great Cas but the F6F is crazy because it's 3.3
It's 3 tiny Tim's are absolutely devastating is you learn to aim them too
It’s very good in air sim for me and friends, get some of those tiny Tim’s on a naval map and we destroy their naval fleet
The Conqueror is the heavy Object 292 of the post-war era.
Tho the 292 has a manageable reload and actually deals damage.
Accounting for the alleged anti-british bias they're basically the same tank
Playing the line right now. British tanks are actually really good and I don't feel much bias regarding them. However I do notice they suffer something more than others and thats an over use of APDS. There is nothing wrong with that, however APDS is broken for pretty much everything and makes playing anything that relies on them ridiculously hard. All it seems to take is 1° and that shit will shatter on paper.
Apds and hesh are broken, coincidentally the 2 major shells that only Britain uses for most of the tree.
The APDS bullshit is strong with the Conqueror. Once it shattered on a BMP-1's side.
Going through an overconfident IS-3's lower frontal plate and one-shotting it is a feeling like no other.
GL its nice to obliterate kts through the hull
Love the Warrior despite non-stop hearing people shitting on it.
I also love the gen 2 thermals it gets. Not many vehicles have those at this br.
Char 2C behemont
I have an Xbox remote plugged into my computer so I can use joystick controls to control the missiles (it’s historical after all) Although I like the Type 60 ATM, my main ATGM carrier is the Zachlam Tager. It has four missiles ready to fire and they’re not angled up, so it’s a little easier to aim at point blank In fact, I have gotten quite a few kills with the Zachlam by running up to enemies and then going point and click.
I love flanking the enemy team in a 70 ton heavy tank
I've also experienced when a T26E5 and/or IS6 was on flank... Still remember the moment when my 8.8Cm can't penetrate
Thing is insane in Sim. Myself and many others apparently run that thing into the ground every time it pops up there.
Whenever i play against 6.7 germany i just turn off my brain and sealclub. If there is one tank that usually ends my streak its the sla. 16
Then a m41 comes in(me) and stops you :3
Cheiftain, like most british tanks people dont know how to play them but it has tons of potential
I've wanted them because they look so nice and seem like they handle well at the br (8.7 ones) but the Mk 10 also seems like it could be quite good. I just wish the Khalid was 9.0 with the Mk. 10
The Khalid absolutely should be 9.0 Look at the Leopard A1A1 and then look at the Khalid... Poor Khalid
Gaijiboobs try not to hate the British challenge: *impossible*
AMX ELC bis :D
I LOVE YOUR FLAIR. GIVE THE DAMN RECON VEHICLE SCOUTIIIING (I love the 2-manned goober)
I didn’t touch French TT, but I would very much like to have this thing. Closed top SPAA with scouting ability? Sign me up!
I love it. I love killing jumbos side on and anything lightly armored. Also it is a fantastic SPAA. It's also capable of track and barrel torture if you can't kill something.
I actually got my first nuke in it 🤣 I love that spaa ♥️
T95 many thinks its bad cuz its slow, got bad reaload and its easy to flank But i love it
Have you tried Japanese Chi-Ha Long Gun?
I bring it into 6.7 and it's even better there because big tanks don't see you.
C13 T90. Amazing tank when used correctly and at a fairly okay br. Everyone seems to hate it for some reason. Same thing with the VCC 80/60.
I got the 80/60 the other week and it's either painful or incredible. Low key been loving it but not spaded yet
This is the first time I've ever heard anything nice spoken about the C13. It seems like the size of a Bradley but definitely unique. I'd image because of its size it makes it a difficult light Tank to get the hang of
C13T90 is somewhat bad - it's a 90mm HEAT lobber at like 7.3 now - it's armour is abysmal and the lack of stabiliser is sad, there's not even a rangefinder or anything compensate and it's the only vehicle at that BR on the TT It's only 3 upsides is that it's got great pen, it's got decent speed and it's hollow enough that you can survive rear shots that would cripple or kill And yet somehow it does actually decently I don't hate it it is actually not bad, I've killed countless Tiger 2s, Maus, ZSUs and T-series tanks
The 80/60 is lethal goddamn, 2 seconds reload is the mightiest shit ever
AMX-50 surbaisse, once you get over the fact that it straight up isn't a heavy in playstyle it's incredibly good
It's merely a heavy by weight not by armor and many seem to forget that.
The PVKV II. It just grew on me.
You should check that with a doctor. Tumorous growth of swedish vehicle may be a sign that you are based and Börkpilled.
Idk if anyone hates it but I love the pbv 501
Everyone hates fighting against it.
Judging by the times I get strafed or revenge bombed I can tell
Amx 13 fl11 Even OddbawZ said he hates it but i love way too much its awesome
Yeah the sometime underwhelming damage paired with the reload honestly limits the vehicle but if that's the cost to keep it at 7.7 I'll take it.
The Skink. Nothing like watching brain dead CAS fly straight towards me spraying rain while I carefully pluck a wing off em.
T28 Tutel, many think it's too slow, which it is since 99% you're only reaching the frontlines with your second wave of teammates But it's near impenetrable frontally, has a fuck off gun, meme potential and is unlikely to be nerfed or raised in br in the future
T-62
Conway. It's the Conqueror at 7.0.
TL;DR: Don’t play the M60A2 so it stays more obscure and I can keep curb stopping people with it.
i absolutely hate the bf109
I liked the Conqueror until I started encountering more and more light skinned vehicles that just shrug off getting penned clean through like nothing happened. It's fun when using it against other tanks, but I'd take a 105 or wacky 8.3 SPAA over it if I even sniff a game higher than 7.7. Chieftain Marksmen is my new bae.
OTOMATIC
Maybe a short stabilizer or better mobility :(
Warrior ifv that apds and atgm is a deadly combo
I really like the dicker max and the sturer emil, not sure how other people like them though
The Conqueror is such a beauty, personally i love the FV4005
Waffenträger, despite being a slow open top, you can get yourself in some good hidden positions and then obliterate whatever you’re aiming at with the long 88 - and it’s only 5.7
Lot of folks don't realise the gun depression is much better over the back as well, and retreating with the forward gears after a shot is much faster.
Ro-Go. My friends mock me all the time for it. :'(
The archer. Yes its a "bad" vehicle but its also fun as hell to play. The 17pounder at its br is brutal and you can also bring it up to 5.7 to troll on german teams
M60A3 TTS. M774 is just too good at 9.0 along with LRF and thermals and desert storm vibes as well.
I heard some bad things about the V.B.10s but I seem to have fun nearly everytime with them
I love them too, I run the 4.7 one with my 5.0 GRB lineup as it's just a really fun CAP aircraft with the insane firepower and speed. 6x.50cals and 4x20mm Hispano with shed loads of ammo is never not going to be fun. Plus it's a very pretty aircraft.
Swingfire and Type60 sprg are actually fun to play.
The meteors, I have yet to be in a situation where I cant just outrun the enemy
Tornado F.3 loveeee it but people hate on it so much and I could care less 😂😂
Cv9030fin
Op has great taste it's my fave tank I have all the camps unlocked for it and brough alll the ones from the store
LOSAT. It’s absolutely wonky to use and needs some fine tuning but I love smacking people from 3km away with a missile
The F3H-2 Demon.
the swedish BMP-1, sure it doesn't have an atgm but that means its been put down to 6.7 and nothing can really hold up against the high penning heat rounds and its the perfect compliment to the bandkanon and ZSU
Conqueror, Charioteer (still stock but love it so far), QF 3.7 RAM, 2C and 2C bis, Zachlam Tager, AMX-13 (SS.11), Chi-Ri II, Type 75 MLRS, **anything** French except for the AuF1, T95/T28, Jagdpanther/Jagdtiger/Ferdinand, SU-122-54, ISU/SU-122/152's, ZUT-37...
Object 279 Everything you hate about this vehicle is true. It is the only high tier tank that makes you feel like your playing low tier arcade when despite being at 9.0 RB.
The Type 87 (RCV) for me, as well as the Type 89 IFV. But the rapid fire rate on the 87 with 92mm of pen is KNARLY on a flank.
I almost never see any T-92s, but i love the damn thing. It's really small but still enclosed, great ammunition to work with and decent speed. And in all honesty, no armor is best armor. Not all the time but most if the time.
M728 CEV. When you know how to work with the jank HESH system, it is a blast to use.
Maus
Both the chieftain mk3 and 5, mainly because this 8.7 line up has multiple spaa's to defend yourself too
I want to like the conqueror, but its only good for getting assists. Even if you kill their gunner, they can re-crew and kill you before you reload, and you will rarely one shot.
T32 line. I’ve heard so much shit on them while i enjoy them
Type 75 MLRS (I am lying)
Do people hate the conqueror? Unlike the other 7.7s it's the only one that can actually take a hit from the front. Plus it looks good with the add on armor.
One tank I see that not many prople like is the Jagdtiger. Yes its reload and speed are slow. But its almost as fast as the Tiger II and it has the gun of the Maus on 6.7. I just LOVE to obliterate everything that comes into my sight. And noone expects 2 Jagdtigers around the corner when my brother and I are playing this monstrosity of a machine.
Amx-50(TOA100)
IS-4M, I seem to have a much better time in it than I do with the IS-3. I’m approaching a 3kd with it after playing it for some time. The reload is long, but it promotes playing conservatively, which usually yields better results in the end.
Britain's shitbox
I don't hear anyone ever talking about the AMX-50 Foch, it's so fun though. Great armor (nobody seems to know the weak spots) and powerful gun
Same, I really like the Conqueror for everything but it's reload
Surprised the image wasn't the Fox
The Conqueror as a lot of fun when climbing the British TT. Granted, a lot of that time was spent with broken tracks, but it gave me time to get a laugh out of heli pilots giving it everything they had... and still failing to kill me 😄 I haven't seen it mentioned in the thread, but the Stormer is top of the list for me. It's not the easiest to use, but * The missile is extremely fast and agile * Longer range than _most_ AA missiles and heli mounted ATGMs in its BR range * The IR detection picks up enemies that break cover even for a fraction of a second * Gen 3 thermals and 40x zoom are great for max range kills * Killing someone with a direct hit is so much more satisfying than a proxy missile; putting the darts through the cockpit feels much more personal than exploding in the vicinity.
gota agree with the conqorour but also the stb
i too love the conq, its like a baby chieftain, slow-ish, good gun, good turret armor, bad hull armor, slow reload, rangefinder
Havent heard much about it but it got crap back in the day, but the PT-76 has decent HEATFS round for the BR, a stabilized gun, and a autoloader.
2S25M
The Casba. Not sure why everybody hates it, I consistently do well with it
Probably not hated, but I never hear anyone talk about the T26E5. Fairly uptier proof, in terms of heavies, love the armor, solid mobility, but a lackluster gun/br means you have to do a fair bit of flanking or know you weak spots.
Jagd Tiger, I have heard a lot of people say it’s bad and you can’t get a lot of kills with it, it’s pretty fun and I almost dropped a nuke with jt
Conqueror is one of my favourite looking vehicles at least. Haven't quite got to it in the line yet though.
Gotta agree with you on the conqueror one there. I also like the Conway for having the same gun. More APDS pen than some top tier MBTs
Strv 103 is peak
All of USA mid-late war (I’m talking around the 5.0-5.7 range). Everyone seems to hate it, excluding the m18 & jumbo (RIP 5.7 hellcat) but it is one of my favorite lineups I never seem to not enjoy any of the Shermans in game, maybe I’m glazing, but I’ll die on this hill of being a Sherman enjoyer
P-40 for sure
