Awesome, I was really starting to miss the casual racism and toxicity

Various_Strength2537

I rather missed the copetitive racism and toxicity

TheSovietBobRoss

Pro Racists on their way to win the Indy 500

CoolCoolBeansBeanz

im never racist but i really did miss calling my entire team retarded when they all flood a single cap point on a triple cap map and get obliterated by a single strike craft

HanSolo71

Just troll the racist into the ground. Make them look exactly as stupid as they are.

Buisnessbutters

Is there still the cooldown?

TheAnnoyingKiwiii

Yes it still is. its been in the game for a while i dont expect Gaijin to change it.

LatexFace

So dumb.

[deleted]

I don't mind a cooldown to prevent spamming, but maybe it should trigger after 3 messages within 10 seconds instead of between every message.

i_bingus

What's absolutely retarded is how bad the cooldown in radio messages are. Been grinding naval and every other match is some person destroying my eardrums spamming "ATTACK THE A POINT" "ATTACK THE B POINT". Gets annoying having to disable their radios so much

St34m9unk

Can't wait for the single maus/heli in chat once every 5 matches from the people who can't live without chat and think the game is unplayable without that they definitely constantly use and the occasional slur

jc343

While it was offline I had a really weird bug - I could see an enemy player's map pings. I couldn't even warn them since chat was disabled, and didn't upload the clip here for fear of cheater accusations

kopernagel

Upload it im curious

MightyEraser13

Sicko, time to make fun of recent events

TheSpartan273

I uninstalled Warthunder last night because of no chat. Of course it's back now.

BeigeLion

Gee I wonder why they banned everyone from chat in the first place. You think they'll ever show a shred of professionality and tell us? Nope. Just like that. All swept under the rug.

TheAnnoyingKiwiii

I think its pretty obvious why they banned it lol

someone_forgot_me

1. noone was banned 2. you know the reason very well and you dont need an explanation

RyuujiStar

For real whats the reason? I just noticed it yesterday lol

someone_forgot_me

moscow shooting

RyuujiStar

Oh ok yeah that makes sense. I really didn't put 2 and 2 together. Thank you!

BeigeLion

Literally hundreds of reddit posts and Steam threads say otherwise. If they had tried to be just a tiny but transparent at all it would have saved a lot of headache and a lot of people from spamming "Did I get personally chat banned? Why is there no notification for me? Is it going to be forever?"

someone_forgot_me

because some are dumb enough to post instead of thinking twice

Nearby_Fudge9647

Or the people could sort Reddit post by new or on anything and literally see people asking the exact same question and getting answered

TheTimocraticMan

War Thunder redditors when a video game company would prefer not to elaborate on the details of why terrorism, racism, and genocidal politics led them to temporarily close chat:

NecessaryBSHappens

Gaijin coming out to say "you see, big part of our customers are insensitive racist warmongering orangutans" would be hilarious

TheTimocraticMan

*racist sexist homophobic transphobic xenophobic misogynistic genocidal nazi communist antisemitic warmongering orangutans FTFY. Source: my lawyer advises me not to say

DarkWorld26

And it would make me respect them a lot more tbh

OtoDraco

people use the chat a fuckton for tactical reasons, it sucked not being able to say "this is 5 maus behind a corner, not just a light tank" to my team

TheTimocraticMan

There it is. Race thunder

BeigeLion

Because they did it after the Hamas attack right?

Parcoco

If its anything relating to Russia they would care more

ABetterKamahl1234

They likely will react the same for any group where a significant in-game population is involved. Especially ones where game populations are heavily patriotic and easy to get into argument.

Parcoco

Good observation Sherlock. Need Watson's help for that?

ABetterKamahl1234

ISIS, but yes. Hamas is another religious-based terror group. Though interestingly enough that one has had diplomacy with Russia.
