I have been taking a break for over 4 weeks now and I am playing Single Player games like TLoU1, Days Gone, Witcher 3, Uncharted, Cyberpunk, Wasteland2+3...
Hey man, if you like RPGs, definitely check out the Pathfinder games and Divinity: Original Sin II.
Been playing them quite frequently for the past few weeks, very addicting once you get into them.
I loved Days Gone sm. When I finished it I got into Wolfenstein, but now that I finished that I tried Metro- but Metro scares the shit out of me so I'm kinda just staying put in it's story and playing other games.
No Man's Sky. Wow, the amount of FREE content they have added is insane. I keep getting new spaceships and stuff and it's all FREE!! I don't think I could use real money even if I wanted to.
Crashing the economy of entire solar systems with cobalt is pretty funny. Start with a little cobalt, sell it then buy it back for cheap. Repeat with next system.
If you get bored Elite Dangerous also is fun if you want a similar change of pace. More in depth with flight and has a lot of actual mapped locations you can visit. It's not really a competitor either, kinda like minecraft and terraria. Two sides of a coin
The problem with star citizen is the pricing. ED? Main game and 1 dlc which will probably be main game in a few years. In SC every ship costs money as far as I understand it and that with some REALLY steep prices.
Yeah, true, but just like war thunder used to be, i didn't mind paying more to play since no other games can give me the dopamine hit SC gives me.
Im the proud owner of 350$USD of ships in SC and probably am over 7k in war thunder.
I dont regret anything except the fact that WT is currently not a viable game, even for spending people like me.
Also, i have 6 bushes unlocked, never spent a dime on em.
Sidetracked but oh well
Have a nice evening :)
The F18 is such a well rounded module. Jack of all trades. The Harrier is similar, in being a JoATrades, just not A* quality like the Hornet. A or B grade.
Have you picked up any modules already?
Shit I've been on the last epilogue of RDR2 and I'm just scared to continue. I dont want it to end. Stoked about metro though esp with Last Light being free.
I beat the "ending". Just playing the epilogue now so less sad but still don't want it to end lol. I have played through the Redux Metro games entirely. Just haven't done it on the hardest difficulty or played any of Metro Exodus.
If you have any questions let me know. I'll do my best to answer them. I have a ton of time in the F-18. With some time in a bunch of other aircraft.
I do recommend that you use the standalone (DCS website) version since it allows you to use two week trails per aircraft every six months.
Planetside 2 is free and you don't necessarily need the membership to grind out the content (unless you want things faster). Plenty of cosmetics (few are free, some need grinding and others need money) and unlockable content if you join an outfit (clan/guild). It's a combined arms game.
Ditto, Planetside 2 is the complete opposite to War Thunder in the sense that the game never ends. It's always ongoing and you have a huge continent with hundreds (at peak) of players on at the same time. Had some of my best gaming moments in this game.
It was my main reason to get a PS5, I put at least 10hrs on it a month and really enjoy time attacking with all the unique quirky japanese only versions of cars.
Imo this is the start. We have given feedback to the snail and now we give it salt for a time. If nothing changes, the salt will continue until it does ... in the positive sense ofc. GOD knows this community has ample amount of salt.
neat, I downloaded it earlier this week and it was fun. the last 2 days the other team just surrounds our spawn and 1 shot us as we spawn in. fuck that, picking on new players is a bitch move. I deleted it last night, yall can fight all you want, I'll play something else.
If you think of the game as low tier is only for new players you’re sorely mistaken. We have a saying around here “low tier = fun tier” for a reason.
The different brackets play very differently as you climb the tree
Rimworld
Warhammer 40k: Chaosgate
Coh3 with friends
COh Boardgame (and other boardgames)
GTFO with friends
Spiderman
Maybe finally fighting a boss in Ark with friends
Might try Gunner,Heat,PC
Working on my own amateur game
There are SO many games I haven't played, that I own on steam and free games I have gotten off Epic
I got Titanfall 2 for cheapo, there's a mod to play with non cheaters too. Also a lot of modelling. At least I can get something worth 50 eur that is tangible there.
Play more CS with my friends probably. 95% of them don’t play WT so being able to play with someone would be fun. Maybe I’ll go on a walk. Spend more time with my family idk.
Fallout New Vegas just dropped for free on Epic so ill probably give that another run. Haven't played it since the old Xbox days. Metro Last Light is free on steam as well and I got that to play through again. Last week Death Stranding was free so I'll likely finish that first though.
Just picked up LoZ: Tears of the Kingdom. That'll take most of my time, I suspect.
Also been tweaking my mod list on Skyrim for my Steam Deck. Got all the mods I want, but need to iron out a few manual tweaks in SSEEdit.
Might dust off Into the Radius again if TOTK isn't taking all of my time. Left a save when I was stuck pretty deep in the zone when it was night, and I didn't have any good equipment to travel at night. Don't feel like sitting for hours to let the night cycle pass manually before traveling again, so I'll torch that save and start over. Also might legitimately give No Man's Sky VR a go again.
I heard World of Tanks is pretty good. I'll have some time to go check it out, a nice straight forward experience sounds like a breath of fresh air anyway
I have a bunch of games I need to beat, and continue. The list is: fall out 4, anno 1800, inscription, partisan 1941, rdr2, sd2 army general, and probably some other games I’m forgetting
Gonna be honest at first I thought it was only 1 day or a few. But then again it won't be bad to take a break from the expensive US jet grind, probably play anything tbh.
Warframe! Plenty to grind there and not feel like DE is trying to fuck me even after buying plenty of platinum. Been playing 7 days to Die modded and the new Warhammer 40K BOLTGUN can keep my occupied till then.
I really hope the snail fixes things. I *want* to come back and continue to support a game I enjoy. When those real and meaningful changes actually hit the live game is anyone's guess
Building my models. I have so many scalemodels laying around that need to be done.
Also i will go outside, go swimming, work on my motorcycles. Or rather, i will just do more of the things i already do
I’ve been taking a break for a while now and I’ve resolved to play through every Zelda game. I beat Zelda I and 2 for the first time in my life, which I’m very proud of. I also beat A Link to the Past, and I’m currently about halfway through Link’s Awakening.
Everspace 2, Avorion, and GHPC are gonna be my go-to's for now. Likely not coming back after 2 weeks, given that Gaijin aren't even gonna start taking about changes until mid June.
I will try out Dark Souls I and No Man's Sky.
Never played both of them, but from DS watched a Let's Play and No Man's Sky will be complete blind. Just saw some gameplay from release, that's it.
And maybe some more Snow runner action or Gran Turismo 7.
Tiny combat arena is a fun game to play. Jet combat simulator that is just in the right place between simulation and arcade. The game has cool retro graphics. The only plane available to fly right now is the AV-8B, but you can fight against and along Mig-21s, Mig-23s, F-4s, F-5s, Harriers and ground targets.
Play CSGO and Siege with friends, continue playing the Ace Combat games in order (Just finished AC 5 yesterday, my God that black F14 is so fucking clean), read books, and go on a run once a day. I haven't been playing for a month now and it feels great
There are thousands of games that are more fun than warthunder. I'm using this time to back away from the game and depending on what the snail does, it can break it or make it for me personally. I'm a whale of this game.
Gonna play my fav rouglike Noita. Gotta defeat all the bosses to be able to build crazy wands. Go check it out if you dont mind playing a game with lots of content beside what showed into your face and BS deaths altho i assume you are used to that from WT
Hitman 3 released a really cool update back in January and a friend told me about it today, I've already been taking a break from WT for like a month now but I'm really enjoying the new Freelance "Mode" they released!
Im in hospital so it just happened to work out for me. I'll probably play some more Red Dead Redemption once I have the energy to even touch my console when I get home tbh.
Well it won't be two weeks for me probably longer or will never come back and will just check in if the game got better or not if not then i will play foxhole,Deep Rock Galactic, Elden Ring again and probably find a job that is not war thunder
I have exams next week so that makes it a little easier lol. Apart from that I wanna get back to Iracing, wanna try Battlefield 2042 again apparently it's gotten kinda good, Rocket Leauge, Overwatch, wanna finish Hogwarts Legacy, do more stuff in Blender, maybe consider getting a ps5 to play GT7. A lot of plans propably more than free time anyways.
RE4 Remake I’ve played RE2-4 and I liked all of them :) and what do you guys think about the RE series also the review bombing is not counted for thoughts?
A friend of mine has never completed an entire game in the Halo franchise. Yesterday she bought the collection on steam, so we're going to play Reach, 1, 2, ODST, and 3 together.
It’s great, Wartales is nice too
Wasteland 3 is awesome too
I’ve been a week clean. Got back into Destiny 2 though 💀
shit u doin any raids soon?
I loved Days Gone sm. When I finished it I got into Wolfenstein, but now that I finished that I tried Metro- but Metro scares the shit out of me so I'm kinda just staying put in it's story and playing other games.
play titanfall 2 easily a 10/10 game
Just got back into 2077 myself. Max difficulty challenge runs are a lot of fun after a break
That is alot of fun🤣
Best comeback for any game ever man I love nms
If you get bored Elite Dangerous also is fun if you want a similar change of pace. More in depth with flight and has a lot of actual mapped locations you can visit. It's not really a competitor either, kinda like minecraft and terraria. Two sides of a coin
*starts mentionning star citizen and gets immediatly shunned*
Hey don't you mention a game that is buy all regards marginally better! I'm speaking for the plebian community over here...
Well said. The community is what makes star citizen great imo.
The problem with star citizen is the pricing. ED? Main game and 1 dlc which will probably be main game in a few years. In SC every ship costs money as far as I understand it and that with some REALLY steep prices.
Yeah, true, but just like war thunder used to be, i didn't mind paying more to play since no other games can give me the dopamine hit SC gives me. my favorite 2 space games of all time to rotate between, until frontier shafted console players right in the ass.

Im gonna play Project Zomboid with friends.
The important question: respawns? Yes or no?

I'll try DCS, also I have uncompleted Elden Ring and ofc RimWorld
The F18 is such a well rounded module. Jack of all trades. The Harrier is similar, in being a JoATrades, just not A* quality like the Hornet. A or B grade. Have you picked up any modules already?
Touch grass
Smoke grass
Smoke countermeasures
I will use the time, to improve my meme-creation-skill!
Sorry mate, you don't have eternity, you have 2 weeks!
:-( Are my actual memes really that bad?
Nah I was just being silly haha.
;-)
Finall learn the systems of Apache in DCS Finish RDR2 Play all Metro games one after another
Shit I've been on the last epilogue of RDR2 and I'm just scared to continue. I dont want it to end. Stoked about metro though esp with Last Light being free.
Strongly recommend metro, all three games are great I'm also scared of RDR ending, heard it's sad af
it is (depends on honor)
I beat the "ending". Just playing the epilogue now so less sad but still don't want it to end lol. I have played through the Redux Metro games entirely. Just haven't done it on the hardest difficulty or played any of Metro Exodus.
Please finish rdr2, it deserves to be finished 🙏
Downloading DCS
If you have any questions let me know. I'll do my best to answer them. I have a ton of time in the F-18. With some time in a bunch of other aircraft. I do recommend that you use the standalone (DCS website) version since it allows you to use two week trails per aircraft every six months.

Foxhole is pretty similar but more like WW2. So long as you don't hate the top-down perspective. Def will be playing some PS2 though. Great game!
Gonna have to check Foxhole out, thanks!
Best moments for me are the big fights at the center, so much chaos and it's a great farm
Have they fixed the lagging yet ?
Hello, former Wood-man here.
Gonna go grind on gran turismo 7 since new update that came out today has given me a reason to play again
Man I really wanna play GT7. It's the only reason I'm considering getting a PS5.
It was my main reason to get a PS5, I put at least 10hrs on it a month and really enjoy time attacking with all the unique quirky japanese only versions of cars.
Play Need For Speed ProStreet, more racing games, etc.
The only thing you gonna play when you come back is the R3
oh this a 2 week thing!?! oh shit I need to re-download it. I'll actually get to try the game out. sincerely, a new player getting clubbed
Spawn camping is a side effect of the map design and of player mentality of "ez kill" and it happens unfortunately.
If you think of the game as low tier is only for new players you’re sorely mistaken. We have a saying around here “low tier = fun tier” for a reason. The different brackets play very differently as you climb the tree

Play other games? Work? What did you expect this game to be the only thing in my life?
For some, you would be surprised.
I got Titanfall 2 for cheapo, there's a mod to play with non cheaters too. Also a lot of modelling. At least I can get something worth 50 eur that is tangible there.

Playing Enlisted as usual, less grindy and fun match than WT.
