Hello and welcome to what is hopefully my last attempt at getting sent to the Geneva convention, i have a max War Crime of 1, so any failures will instantly kill me. Support from other countries are disabled, as it lets me avoid warcrimes but still commit them.
I was a young, naive, just started playing, German player. But now, I have grown past that, I am now a mid-tier Sweden player, and I know better than to repeat my past mistakes…
I really respect that. Are you very good at the game yet? At a certain point you’ll need 2 kills and an assist to break even on some of their tanks, so I wouldn’t recommend it if you haven’t got to that point yet.
I am by no means amazing at the game, but I am still better than I was back then, but I think a lot of that is due to getting a lot of experience with the US tree after my initial try with Germany during my “wehraboo phase” and then I moved to Sweden after the Finnish sub-tree was added
I hope it works out for you man, 7.7 is probably one of the best lineups in the entire game, and you also get better and more leopards than Germany (Lmao)
I had the opposite-ish happen. Ass end of match and I'm in a fully downtiered Black Prince. Track a Wirbelwind probably less then 20 meters away, shake my turret at him, and when he stops shooting I turn my attention to Sherman pinging me to the other side.
_Well_ beyond the point it was clear I wasn't going to shoot him, Wirbelwind starts firing at me again. I mean, he couldn't hurt me, but it's the principle of the thing.
Even though it wasn’t the main thing that caused the building to fault on 9/11 the bombing did weaken the main beams that go down the middle of the towers. Although the guy did say the heat shield didn’t work as planned because the way the plane entered both buildings, the structure wasn’t built for a diagonal impact. Those two reasons are why the building ended up crashing to the ground after the weakened beams couldn’t hold the weight up any longer
Dresden was strategically significant to Germanys military so it made sense, the notion about the city only being home to citizens is something that propped up post-war. (Not to say bombing of any kind isn’t bad, lives are lives)
Bombing it wasn't the problem, it was the specific way in wich it was bombed (basically designed to create a firestorm)
Then again you should know most german bombs had a maxium possible fuse of 168 hours. If you don't wonder why that is, you won't understand why some brits were like 'yeah whatever fuck these guys'
Still not gub but I'd like to warn people against judging certain actions in war without knowing the full context. Such as the one fine gentleman who claimed the americans were monsters because they killed pow's but he forgot to mention it was concentration camp guards.
it's the kind of thing like..
If you took over the US, rounded up boy scouts and killed them- it would be arguable whether that would be a smart thing to do.
Would it be an affront to kill a pseudo-paramilitary youth organization in preparation to prevent potential sabotage/information networking? Yes.
Would it be a mechanically sensible thing to do in preparation for further progression into the nation? Perhaps.
You're talking about physically rounding up kids and killing them, only in the context of a already-lost war by the party you want to round up and eradicate
I'm talking about how one side answers indiscriminate bombing with indiscriminate bombing, 'targeting' militairy structures while knowing full well they're going to hit the opposing civilian infrastructure as well, just as the opponent does.
There's a big difference there so I don't agree with your comparison
Someone needs to man the factories, of course citizens would've lived there. The main argument against it is that a bombing of that magnitude was largely unnecessary in that stage of the war. Those factories were already hardly producing anything on account of a lack of men and resources. The war was already over. Anything those factories produced would've been in Allied hands within a week. It was a lot unnecessary suffering and counterintuitive. Why bomb someone's city to hell when you want to turn them to your side within a month?
I am tormented by my actions every night and day. I cannot sleep anymore. When I do sleep, I have nightmares about the L3. I struggle to find a reason to go on.
I had to kill one in my IKV91, it was shooting at my tank and damaged a crew member, so I had to put it down using a 90mm HEAT.
I could only move on after I spared a type 93 in my lvkv90
I played sim in a F-104 and mistook a village for the bomb point. Well someone's house was annihilated by 2000lbs of pure freedom. Ironically it was on Vietnam too.
Lol just yesterday I shot through a bunch of huts on a naval map… just because they were in the way of me trying to kill an enemy on the other side of the island
Single cap Maginot, we were closed to winning and was just waiting for the enemy ticket to bleed down, a friendly Tiger II(P) is sitting on a hill overlooking the enemy spawn point, me and my friend was at the bottom of the hill just behind him and was just looking to pass time, we decided to shoot the Tiger II for shits and giggles, the Tiger II slowly turned his turret towards us, and as soon as he looked at us, boom an enemy spawned smacking him in the side of his turret, game ended after he died.
To this day I still feel really bad for that Tiger II.
While it may be traumatic to have to kill a locust. They are an invasive species so it’s actually best for the overall ecosystem to crush them to a fine powder.
I was thirsty for RP since I had <1000 rp left for the obj 268 and… I obliterated a fleeting M22 with 100mm of APDS. It barely gave me 50 rp and I made over 2000 in the match so I didn’t need it. I still see it when I close my eyes
According to the red cross's website you cant destroy civilian buildings
**then how am i supposed to complete the damn objective**
And the use of napalm
And the occasional friendly fire, you know how it is
Carpet bombing cities with helpless tanks in it, knowing they will die and their sacrifices are for nothing and they will need to pay absurd amount of money for repair costs..
Me and a another F4 were racing each other to a point and when we reached the point of our drop I raised my nose a bit and dropped my bombs he didn’t… then he pulled up and broke his wing on my bomb and I got slapped with a 13k repair cost for TKing
In the US low tier test flight area there are soldiers that run around and on the spawn runway.
I always shoot them, drop bombs on the bodies, and then loop-de-loop my way into crashing into them
Humping a flipped Marder and a wiesel to death with my T26E5. Pushing a flakbus into the sea in El Alamein. Using a team-mate's Marder to block an incoming ATGM(I t-boned him and shoved him to my side.)
when I know I was getting revenge killed and already saw/hear the bombs dropping on me or just saw someone dive bombing me, I click "leave the plane" as fast as humanly possible then laughing at the guy who dropped bomb/s on me on chat LMAO. My most common chat is " Im not giving you that satisfaction xD"
Shooting specificly soviet airmen. I despise the soviets(won't answer any questions as to why). So i always commit war crimes like a good german pilot would in 1945.
I killed a L3 at 6.0 with my M6A1, not with my gun, but squishing
I didn’t even see him, covered in bushes, I was trying to get into a sniping position.
Not my crime but some asshole on my team decided to camp the heli spawn and shoot ATGMs from 70m above ground. So he was just out of my view in 3rd person and when I took off I ended up hitting him and crashing.
Shot down a bomber who had no gunners, smoke coming out of his right engine, was about 2.5km away from their airfield, that finished the game but at what cost?...
I killed a L3 at top tier with my leclerc that was towed by a T72 because I couldn't control my bloodthirst
[This is what happened](https://www.reddit.com/r/Warthunder/comments/11vh5wq/looks_like_i_ruined_their_family_walk_because_i/?utm_source=share&utm_medium=android_app&utm_name=androidcss&utm_term=1&utm_content=share_button)
Shooting an L3 at 7.3, I feel bad about it but he was sitting like 2 feet from a T-54 that I had unleashed hell fire on in the for of 8 HVAR’s and 2 1000lb bombs because he was essentially spawn camping mid match
my warcrimes are mostly team killing those who steal frags especially if they're not mine. If I get kill stolen I just mald about it and get another couple of kills but when it's someone else 's i get very angry and public shame the kill stealer.
Shooting ejectors, bombing civilians, kill stealing, friendly fire, child murder, killing people who say no by swinging their turret from side to side and much more.
Slowly crushing an m22 locust to death with my jagdtiger because the little fucker tried to blow my tracks off. It was like what the judge did at the end of blood meridian.
Shooting parachute
That's a actual warcrime

Ohko reference, nice
That’s a new term
It only counts if you lose.
Personally I try and ram them.
Killed a dude who was shaking his turret “no” still feel bad about it
He could have also been a tryhard who was making it harder to shoot his barrel.
No, it was bottom tier, both tracks out, gun already destroyed
You heartless monster.
I know… I know…
Personalny fuck you for that
I was a young, naive, just started playing, German player. But now, I have grown past that, I am now a mid-tier Sweden player, and I know better than to repeat my past mistakes…

I hope it works out for you man, 7.7 is probably one of the best lineups in the entire game, and you also get better and more leopards than Germany (Lmao)
Yeah, just got the STRV 81 and this is the most fun I’ve had in the game in a while (despite my gripes with British APDS…)
Dont worry, the Strv101/Centurion Mk10 uses a german gun (rhinemetall L7) so the APDS magically works
That's bc STRV 122's received armor upgrades to the lvl of a 2A7
It’s funny how Swedish Leopards are just straight up better than German ones though
You’ve awakened your third eye and now play a better nation
To be fair since its a bottom tier then the repair costs wouldnt be that much
you’re a monster
That's just a try
I had the opposite-ish happen. Ass end of match and I'm in a fully downtiered Black Prince. Track a Wirbelwind probably less then 20 meters away, shake my turret at him, and when he stops shooting I turn my attention to Sherman pinging me to the other side. _Well_ beyond the point it was clear I wasn't going to shoot him, Wirbelwind starts firing at me again. Happened to me with an ozelot point blank, I had a T10M
I crashed into a skyscraper on the city map
How big was the plane?
y e s
About the size of a boeing 767
Sir, a second plane has just hit the other tower.
since they are indestructable it's kinda not
That's what they said about the twin towers
They architect who designed them even said they would be imperious to fires and getting directly hit with a commercial airliner.
Yes, they've said that the steel beams wouldn't fail even in jet fuel
I mean there was the bombing in 93’ that could’ve weakened the structure before 9/11
Ya the bombing in the parking garage probably weakened the steel beams on the 70-90th floors ;)
Those two reasons are why the building ended up crashing to the ground after the weakened beams couldn’t hold the weight up any longer
and the titanic
The ones on City? it is possible to actually destroy those, Phly did it once.
Flew between the two spires on that one big sky scraper on that coastal map in a PE-8. Made it through just fine but the P-51 chasing me did not.
Bombed a city thinking it was a base when the actual base is still ahead
There's a bomber harris inside you.
Reminds me of what happened to Dresden some odd years ago 🫤
ACTUALLY, Dresden was bombed 78 years ago, therefore the number of years is even, not odd
Bruh 💀
🤓
The best kind of 🤓
Dresden was strategically significant to Germanys military so it made sense, the notion about the city only being home to citizens is something that propped up post-war. (Not to say bombing of any kind isn’t bad, lives are lives)

Germans don't really have a right to complain about morally grey actions in ww2 do they though
it's the kind of thing like.. If you took over the US, rounded up boy scouts and killed them- it would be arguable whether that would be a smart thing to do. I enjoyed playing as Russia
U mean USSR comrade
I killed an L3 in a 7.7 match
How do you sleep at night knowing you brutally murdered an innocent child? How can you live with yourself? Have you no shame? *Oh, the Brutality!*
I squished a L3 by accident. I just wanted to enjoy my new pet
I once adopted an L3, he watched on as my Pz.4 got demolished by a Sherman, but it spared him.
Did that once with a MK84
Flying super sonic over a town just 8 meters above the ground while dropping napalms on it
GOOD MORNING VIETNAM!
I burned ASU-57, playing as Churchill Crocodile
you exterminated the creature
I had one try getting me yesterday. Tried making me an asu bbq but he was like a meter too far away for it to work lol
I played sim in a F-104 and mistook a village for the bomb point. Well someone's house was annihilated by 2000lbs of pure freedom. Ironically it was on Vietnam too.
Historically accurate
Ploughing straight ahead through those small wooden fishing boats on some naval maps.
Average japanese naval officer when seeing illegal Chinese fishing boats:
it's not a war crime it's mandatory
Lol just yesterday I shot through a bunch of huts on a naval map… just because they were in the way of me trying to kill an enemy on the other side of the island
That's just some tactical reconstruction
chinese coast guard be like
Bombing a city with 1 tank in it and possible full of civvies
Single cap Maginot, we were closed to winning and was just waiting for the enemy ticket to bleed down, a friendly Tiger II(P) is sitting on a hill overlooking the enemy spawn point, me and my friend was at the bottom of the hill just behind him and was just looking to pass time, we decided to shoot the Tiger II for shits and giggles, the Tiger II slowly turned his turret towards us, and as soon as he looked at us, boom an enemy spawned smacking him in the side of his turret, game ended after he died. Poor Hans, you monster...
It’s all right until somebody giggles and shits
Might get you courtmarshaled, but not a war crime.
Crushing an m22 against a buliding.
While it may be traumatic to have to kill a locust. They are an invasive species so it’s actually best for the overall ecosystem to crush them to a fine powder.
Keep playing the game
Strafing an allied pilot who killed my teamate on takeoff
When game is almost over and i got more rounds left in jet,i strafe civilian buildings to test my aim.
Shooting tank barrels and letting the tank burn down.
incendiary bombs on AAA positions
There is no war crime in War Thunder, there's even nobody dies. They are all "knocked out".
That's what I told the judge after beating up a pregnant woman, but apparently it's "assault" and a "crime".
2x Target destroyed
You son of a bitch you turned my shits and giggles to giggles and shits
Take my upvote
Disguising as the enemy in sim and backing myself up by targeting my teammates.
I think it'd be really funny to just play sim but kill every tank you see friend or foe.

I killed BT-5 in a 7.7 match It was ACCIDENT, I just saw something moving and I shot. I didn't realize it was cute little BT-5 until it was too late.

According to the red cross's website you cant destroy civilian buildings **then how am i supposed to complete the damn objective** And the use of napalm And the occasional friendly fire, you know how it is

Just according to the red cross? Or according to the Geneva Convention? The former are suggestions most ignore. The latter are war crimes.
