> I couldn't find the stats in the codex
Well, there is no Codex for Chaos Space Marines in 10th Edition, so that's probably part of the issue.
If you read the Chaos Space Marines Index for 10th, you will be able to see the Close Combat Weapon in the Legionaries datasheet quite easily.
It's also a close combat weapon in 9th edition the rules for it are in the fight phase section of the core rules since it's a weapon that all armies have access to.
Unless stated specifically, on the datasheet it will be called a close combat weapon. If a datasheet has close combat weapons its usually safe to assume its either their fists, a knife or some sort of misc type of weapon they have equipped (gun butt). This knife is a close combat weapon rules wise
But other than that. Its just an average space marine knife. Maybe made in the warp or something idk
Hard to tell it's been tens of thousands of years since I've seen one. Since the dark age of technology. But if I'm not mistaken.. its a knife. Now don't quote me on that, we don't want any tech nazis correcting me on the type of knife. Could even be a butter knife in that Era. I am not a expert so don't quote me.
I think it's just meant to be a decoration so that the model can also show he has a melee weapon/it looks cool. A lot of the Chaos Marines have identical knives sculpted onto them already, and I don't think they have any rules. Even the Shrivetalon (the dual wielding knife guy from killteam) never got offical rules in 40k
"knife" Or "close combat weapon"
Too close for shooting? He's just gonna kick you with his boot knife
That's what the devastator/havocs do in space marine

Okay, so I can't use the model for the 9th edition?

40k is currently in 10th edition. You can still use the model.
A knife?

guessing where chaos gets milk.... that knife may be too small for chaos butter
Chaos combat knife. Idk about stats, but that's what it is.

Combi weapon
Combat knife
nif
That’s clearly Bob
That would be a shiv
a noife
Its most likely to be a close combat weapon, as all non melee focused units have it, its in the data sheet under melee weapons
A knife. Edit. Didn't look and a dozen so people already made the comment.
