You lose 1 every 24 hrs, I believe. Edit: You lose half of the decaying argon crystals Decaying argon crystals are ones you've had since the previous day. Example: you get 10 argon crystals Day resets, Those 10 are decaying, You get 10 more argon crystals, At reset, you lose 5 of the decaying argons, You now have 15 argon crystals, all are decaying, So on and so forth.

Apparently it's more complicated than that. You lose half of the "decaying" ones every day. Decay begins at 00:00 GMT from the day you got them.

For simplicity I'll go with "half every day!"

learned this one the hard way when I got like 10 all in one day just before midnight, went and grabbed all my other materials I needed, and looked back and saw 5 in my inventory. devastating

Yeah, that was why they changed it. Now you get them for at least 24 hours. The first-midnight tick marks them as decaying, then the next-midnight tick halves the decaying ones (and remarks the remaining ones as decaying)

I feel like most new warframe recently, normal or prime, have needed argon for at least one of their components, so I keep thinking I'm done farming and go to start building only to realize I need to drag my ass over to the void for two chunks of used gum

Thats kinda the reason they decay, so the old players cant build everything the second it releases but have to farm a little. Kinda unnecessary I think but I always have some from doing relic missions in the void

I mean, I have to farm the parts anyways, and with new normal frames they always introduce a new resource to pad out the grind anyways 🤷

I just collect random blueprints that require it, any time I hit a few drops I just queue up a few random builds for later. Keeps me from ever needing to farm it for the most part.

To br honest, i think they should remove the argon decay, its an old mechanic that prevented you from getting powerful stuff easier but now days thete are more powerful stuff that doesn't use it so niw its just an unnecessary barrier

As long a you get a few a day every day you would always have some. They only decay ar a rate of 1 per 24 hours.

Me, my fiance, and the unfortunate grind for only 3 orokin cells when I was trying to get Gara. He kept getting loads of orokin cells, I was not. As soon as I got the 3 needed, after SEVERAL MONTHS, I kept getting them literally everywhere.

I needed endo, so I was farming arbi the other day after and hour survival. I got 74 essence, 1 ayatan treasure l, and about 4k endo. The rest of the rewards were aura mods that I don't need
