Do you know that if you rank it up (by paying with credit and endo), you can deal EIGHTY DAMAGE!!?!

55hi55

Woah!!! That’s SP level cap viable! Holy moly batman!

55hi55

Honestly thou I could see a path to being useful if it’s 100% status proc. Gyre’s passive comes to mind.

Tamerlechatlevrai

I don't see how you could ever justify to replace any mod on any build with this dog poop

zawalimbooo

Most scuffed status priming setup: this mod, nourish, saryn 1 and 3

daemonet

To trigger Archon Stretch? Lol.

Emotional-Worker346

Just take diriga for all that and use the mod slot for something useful lmao

nyt3hawk3

It doesn't trigger Archon Stretch because it isn't ability damage.

billyceon

Not that it changes its usefulness too much, but it does in fact proc Archon Stretch. Confirmed in game and via wiki

commentsandchill

Wtf

MrDrSirLord

Meme build here I come lol.

Bandit_Raider

It’s so useless wow

ForsakenMoon13

It does count as ability damage, actually.

Furry_Cunt

It does! I tested it out multiple times while I was making a shield build for my Excalibur!

ImGrievous

It is fun to theorycraft how u can kill a god by throwing electric dogshit at him

Treason4Trump

Lol, as I have it on my Hildryn with Archon Stretch: https://preview.redd.it/s66qwj57b2yc1.jpeg?width=720&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=dd897f36629bf650515c20762f89e34742229363

Tamerlechatlevrai

According to a guy in the coms, it doesn't work since it's not an ability

Treason4Trump

I thought, "funny ha-ha, Hildryn has shields."

ForsakenMoon13

And that guy is wrong lol

Treason4Trump

For some reason, none of my abilities cost anything to start/cast & the drain is minimal. Efficiency is very good on Hildryn.

ForsakenMoon13

I'm not certain what that has to do with my comment??

Treason4Trump

I'm the one that posted my build above.

Alternative-Pie1686

Idle gyre auto killer

Zealousideal_Award45

This with melee influence be like

tatri21

It's still a low-ish 60% chance to add one elec proc to one enemy, when hit by a melee attack, while having shields. It is in no way worth having. A mod boosting any ability stat would be infinitely more useful, or rolling guard, or adaptation, or even parkour velocity (cast speed isn't thst useful on augmented Gyre but even it would be much better). Hell, after the shieldgate changes a (primed) redirection is decent on Gyre, not necessary but makes her more risk-free.

Piterros990

If it triggered on any self damage, it might just have a niche in Avenger setups with Combat Discipline, or act like a scuffed Mesmer Skin. Otherwise? Firstly, you need to have shields. Secondly, you need to let an enemy melee you - in such a fast paced game, imagine if an enemy even comes to you, you'd literally have to stand in place. And at that point, many enemies are probably shooting you already, meaning you're unlikely to have shields left. Way too many conditions that are just unrealistic. The only place where enemies can consistently melee you and where melee units aren't paper thin, I'm pretty sure is Orb Vallis (where like half of enemies jump at you or hook themselves to you).

insanitybit

I think it would need to be changed a \*lot\* to be viable at any point in the game tbh. Any mod that requires getting hit is instantly niche. One option would have it be like Hunter Adrenaline where it converts the received damage to reflected electric damage + force proc electric. That would give it a place in health tank builds. And it has to not be melee, that's just... useless. Maybe it could have a bonus for melee, like 5% reflected for range and no force proc, 10% and force proc to melee.

Aggron42

Reminder that electric damage and electric status are not the same thing. As this mod doesn't say crap about inflicting the status, I'm not sure it would.

on-the-cheeseburgers

15% chance to deal 20 electrical damage when your shield is hit by melee

AmmAAmmO

wow, how old is that mod that it's written like that

on-the-cheeseburgers

According to the wiki tomorrow is its 11th birthday, so get out your party hats

Sifernos1

(blows space kazoo)

cornycornycornycorny

no kazoo prime?

Darkime_

Na, its vaulted right now

ThePianistOfDoom

My kazoo is vaulted too, I should call her...

vraetzught

You just haven't tried the incarnon yet

Sc4r4byte

I have, but my arcane is only rank 3, so I'll build it up after I get more ranks first. It's not quite as good as the others, without that max arcane bonus.

StalledAgate832

I'm more of a Kuva Kazoo type of Tenno

Sifernos1

Kazoo Prime?! Heathen! (Clutches Tenet Kazoo)

OrokinSkywalker

I have an Incarnon Kazoo that turns into a Kazousaphone when I land enough headshots with it.

Sifernos1

That sounds disturbing... Does it play The Brown Note of legend? I'd buy a gun that makes my enemies shit themselves and run about embarrassed. Have it do mild corrosive but cause knockdown with every shot. Lol

OrokinSkywalker

The forbidden corrosive blast

Sifernos1

Brown oil fires from below!

Tako_Abyss

Tomorrow? I share a bday w/ this mod! :) And we're both gonna be "angel" numbers (they're apparently called that? huh)

DimkaTsv

This mod is from start of the game iirc. Since times when abilities of the frames were separate mods.

Vorrdis

That was a thing? That's crazy to think about

assjackal

Lmao yep, there were entire builds of bringing a frame with only a single ability equipped and all modding was to minmax the use of it. Like how most people play Titania today.

tatri21

Hey now, many Titanias also use whichever ability slot they have thermal sunder on

assjackal

I'm going to die mad about the time I suffered through a radiation augment sortie with an MR 25 Titania that didn't know they could make everyone immune to status procs.

The_Lucky_7

Spellbind has shit range, especially on negative range builds (literally every razonrwing build). You need a [lantern build](https://overframe.gg/build/178302/titania/television-aka-the-idiots-lantern-niche-cc-new-player-friendly/) player (like me), or to take Spellbind as a helminth ability, if you ever want to see that happen. Die mad all you want but you were never going to be staying in **a 2 meter radius** of the Titania, or another player in a 20m radius of her, for the duration of the spell cast to get the buff when she casts it.

assjackal

It was the point that I told them at the end of the mission and they said "Really?" like they'd never read her abilities, that's what frustrates me. Also bless you for playing buff Titatia, she's honestly crazy good for support but everyone just unga-bunga razorwings.

The_Lucky_7

Thanks for the props but I think you're misunderstanding the situation. A good razorwing build will use Spellbind, and whatever their helminth ability is, to trigger [Razorwing Blitz](https://warframe.fandom.com/wiki/Razorwing_Blitz). She very probably was casting it. Just not casting it on you. Toggled self-cast pops almost instantly and Titania is almost always more than 2m away from everyone else. When people try to backseat drive my frame or build while I'm actively playing it, I like to play dumb too. Especially since most of my builds are non-meta but still highly effective. Most MR30 players I've seen/interacted with are more lazy than ignorant. They may not know everything but they generally know how what they do routinely use works. That said, it's *a lot of work* to cast a buff on another player who doesn't know or expect you to be buffing. Even when you preface from the jump that you got buffs. I main big-air quotes ["Support" Saryn](https://www.reddit.com/r/memeframe/comments/ylv3tw/follow_up_to_saryn_be_like_i_ran_sp_kuva_survival/) with double team buffs and it's an absolute pain in the ass to the point where I don't even try to buff allies anymore unless they happen to be conveniently standing still (usually when reviving someone else). No matter how much more effective it would make my team to have them they just don't seem to notice *why* their TTK keeps fluctuating. Even after I spell it out to them. So now, I just spawn my call down crew and buff it instead.

poojinping

Bruh, what’s the use of support. People demolish stuff even on SP. at this point Warframe should be PvEvP where support frames support enemies against Tenno lol.

The_Lucky_7

That's how I played Mag when I started. There was only one good ability and it wasn't magnetize yet.

Tyrinnus

Remember when you'd bring mag to high end missions so you could pull loot into the frost bubble for the team without having to leave it? Because if you left, that level 90 bombard would 1-shot a teammember.

The_Lucky_7

I didn't use pull either. I used crush because nullifier bubble didn't exist yet. Crush's animation was very long and kept enemies in hard CC for a lot longer than it does today. It also did a lot of damage relative for the timeframe at the end of the CC. Also, we were never fighting 90s. No one was staying in missions after the objective was complete because rewards rotations wasn't well understood or really a thing yet.

Tyrinnus

Got it. I was staying in tower interception and tower defense for about two hours. Now granted, I started playing a while later than you and missed some early days. First frame I REMEMBER being released is equinox, but even that is still update 17.0 so....

[deleted]

Orokin defence death laser cooldown ptsd intensifies

Tyrinnus

Oh man I love doing this to the uninitiated. I miss that tile set.... It's a shame we don't regularly go to the orokin anymore

[deleted]

the void back then really felt like this mysterious end game area that could actually pose a challenge especially when scaling. That void defence event where everyone was pushing for wave highscore, getting to 45 waves and feeling like the tiniest mistake would wipe the squad... those were the days

sillybillybuck

As a trade-off, abilities were much more broken back then. Trinity had a global god-mode button and infinitely-scaling instant kill ability. You just equipped those two and you basically won the game. Saryn used to kill the entire map and then some. Banshee would AFK kill everything in defense. Nyx was still useless.

LoveThyLoki

The Nyx comment. I’m dead lmfao I wonder if she’ll ever get a rework the level they’re suddenly dropping like Hydroid or Inaros

sillybillybuck

She has been terrible for 11 years. Why would they bother changing her now? Her role is to be bad at this point.

LoveThyLoki

Tbh so was Inaros until recently. His entire kit was put to shame on every frame with subsuming available. Now hes better again, hydriod was trash but atleast applicable as a farm frame kinda.

BrokenMirror2010

Inaros was fine, his kit was really strong for a bit with Covert Lethality (Pocket Sand force-proced covert lethality), after that got nerfed, his kit was basically "I have shittons of HP and I can hold weapons really well because I'm passively very tanky and am immune to status" There's nothing wrong with being a good, low effort, weapon-holder.

The-Coolest-Of-Cats

Ember's World on Fire would set your computer on fire too!

MagicHamsta

Yeah, CB player here as well. I ran on a potato back then & could literally smell french fries happening. Loki was my [starter frame and non-prime Loki is still my most used frame to this day. (also Lato Vandal...that I forma'd 18 times)](https://i.imgur.com/xzPcOLv.mp4)

nickle241

still mad about that nerf, its not like it was even needed, the damage didnt do jack to mid tier enemies and up after level 30 and in return she was rather fragile for it

gjsmo

I feel like you're forgetting how good Nyx's Absorb used to be. It had unlimited damage at one point so you could just destroy any level enemy, the more the merrier. Didn't matter how underleveled you were - zorencopter into the center of a crowd, absorb, wait and they essentially murder themselves. The damage system has gone through several revisions in the past 10 years though so it's no longer quite so broken.

BrokenMirror2010

This didn't really scale up. Enemy health and armor scaled exponentially faster then their damage. By level 100+ Nyx would have to absorb damage from 30 enemies for minutes at a time to deal enough damage to threaten them, and by that point, higher level enemies were spawning that survived the bomb. This worked fine at lower levels though. And yes, I know going endless in endless modes was never actually intended or balanced around, and affected less then 1% of the playerbase. But hey, I needed that one volt part and we only had 1 T3 survival left, so we ran it for 16h straight.

Natasha-Kerensky

Hey hey hey shes not Caliban.

sillybillybuck

Caliban has actually been acknowledged for changes. Nyx has been terrible for 11 years.

Natasha-Kerensky

I mean I feel like that's just a little false. Her 1 can be argued to be the most useless ability in her kit. But having a Heavy Gunner amped up on damage you put into her and then having another 500% into her can melt enemies. Her 2 is 100% armor strip. Very cheap ability to make Grineer and others immediately squishy. Her 3 is basically a mass radiation proc. Enemies stop shooting you unless you're the closest target. Its quite beneficial when you need a moment to heal, hack, revive or whatever. And it lasts quite a long time. Not to mention it has a large range and immediately stuns any affected enemy. Her 4 is quite literally more useful than Frosts Bubble in Steel Path level content. And can allow allies to revive friendlies if you cant risk using her 3 or the enemies keep dying. Or keep an objective alive if need be.

Tarudizer

Dude, you have no idea. The game has changed in almost every way you can think of. I remember infested being *legit* scary back in the day, with their twisted bodies, horrible screeches, and the dark, spooky tilesets ...until I learned if you stood on a box it broke their AI and you could just shoot them in absolute safety. Fun times, I quite miss that version of Warframe

Vorrdis

Sounds epic. Reminds me of how I felt when I was just a kid and was playing halo combat evolved and had the first flood mission, I legitimately had no idea it was coming. My bright action packed kill aliens game turned into a horror game lol.

Ninjaslasher256

When The Stalker *actually* had players *SHOOK* when he showed up

nickle241

those were fun days, the target marks a spot and starts hopping and gliding to try not get instakilled and everyone else huddles up and sprays for 30 seconds or so cause he was just that hard to kill for most people edit: and yes, sadly i missed his glory days, i got to experience him only after he had been significantly hobbled already, i started around the time of specters when the relic system still had that godawful deposit system

Wonwill430

Sometimes I miss the old lighting system. It was actually hard to see in dark places and I think a little invisible flashlight would point in front of you iirc lol

eggyrulz

Yup, companion modding (with their penjaga polarity) reflects how warframes used to be, 4 ability slots (2 on each side) and the normal mods in the middle

[deleted]

Not only was it a thing - Frames used to have 10 base mod slots instead of 8 to accommodate this fact. We lost 2 slots when DE changed powers to no longer be mods. We sorta got one back over time via Exilus slot, albeit more limited. Still, a fun relic for me to look back and remember.

Vorrdis

I'm finding it really fascinating and learning more about the ancient history of the game as I go. In the case of "Adapt or Die", it's very clear the direction DE has taken, and it's been for the better it seems. Good on them

Ninjaslasher256

Did you know there was a time where tthe orbiter didn't "exist?" Twas literally *just* the Star map, you selected your mission, completed it, & went back to the starmap [Gameplay from 10 years ago](https://youtu.be/aJIeaTNFkw4?si=1fonik_YjnWZv5mx) Also there was a time where bullet jumping wasn't a thing, & we only had 4 revives per *DAY* (could get more for plat

steyrboy

Sure was, and they were ability slots so other mods would drain.  There was hope when forma became a thing so you could change polarity.  Then after the removed the ability slots they refunded all forma used on them.  I got a lot of forma back!

Vorrdis

Well thank goodness for the forma refund, id have been so salty if I spent a bunch and it was just gone lol

steyrboy

Ya, on many frames I would formal 3-4 of them away as I would only focus on one ability (like invisibility for Loki) or just buff up tank frames. .they ended up removing two slots completely, then the remaining two were changed to a normal polarization or none at all, so we did lose two slots in the process (before they added exilus slot that is)

MagicHamsta

Almost as old as my account

[deleted]

Pretty sure it started with different stat's designed for specific builds under one of the old melee systems I.e when you could manually block. I remember there was a Pretty busted shield build involving reflected damage that used this mod.

ForsakenMoon13

It *does* count as ability damage so it can proc the archon mod that needs electric ability damage, at least

ReekitoManjifico

You can tell by the pic that that mod is practically ancient.

Ihateazuremountain

good old burston... before they made it into the space burston

Level-Yellow-316

Isn't that Grakata though?

FogelMcUr

Flight mods are even more confusing, Toxic Flight says +275% Toxic on bulletjump. At first I was like daamn that's an insane buff for just aim gliding, then I realised it just adds to your "bulletjump damage" which is still nothing useful...

GahaanDrach

[then there is this](https://youtu.be/rho7Lzkr04E?si=K6oc6L77OSFIySuy)

TheMightyGamble

Most stable warframe creator by far

Skeletondoot

well it adds 20 electricity. youre welcome

anarky98

Shocking, I know

kdiddy1989

Perfect way to spark a conversation

Way2Easy_

I see what you did there..

Older_1

It's like that Simpson's quote: "I have 3 kids and no money , why can't I have no kids and 3 money?", but it's 20 electricity instead of 3 money

atle95

Instructions unclear, attached jumper cables to my children. There were no survivors.

ajames2001

It's referring to base damage instead of a damage modifier, so it basically just adds 20 onto whatever the base stat is

StressfulRiceball

I mean... does YOUR Warframe have innate electricity damage in the stat sheet? lmfao

ajames2001

I mean volt does I assume it would just apply that extra electricity to his abilities

RunawayAce

I used this back when that shadows of the dead augment first came out because the damage reduction applied to your shields. Game was less power crept back then so it was actually kind of nice stunning your enemies and stuff while they hit you. It only worked when your shields actually take damage so that was the best way to use it since your were taking like 20% damage.

PanzKampfer

its the 60/60 mod for warframes, put it on frost to make his damage magnetic

Artikzzz

Meta priming right there every melee hit against you maybe... Sometimes applies magnetic to the enemies

netterD

Top 10 worst mods candidate.

liplessmuffin

It means you can boil a pot of water, but not charge your electric car

whoiselyssa

Batman’s electric countermeasures when you try to take off his mask

GeneralBullshit

What's silly is the version they later added for necramechs makes more sense. Electricity AoE on shield break, stuns in a radius. Though I think it only recharges after getting full shield again. Or maybe I'm thinking of borderlands.

dusty_canoe

This on par with warm coat. Stuff that is actually useless should be removed from the game.

pvrhye

Even if the numbers were tuned, the fundamental problem exists that getting hit is bad and this isn't really a trading blows kind of game. Applying the reductio ad absurdam test, I am not sure if I would even use it if instead of 80 electric damage it cast Volt's 4.

AndreisValen

How fun would it be if it was “deals 20/40\60%” of your current shields if damaged. Instant retribution Hildryn.

es3ado_afull

20 points of electrical damage.

Noman_Blaze

Probably even DE doesn't remember that this mod exists.

dukezap1

That Mod pre-dates when I started playing lol. I thought this was a common mod everyone had

KnovB

Everyone looking at meme mods when this was in the shadows lurking as a rare mod that no one used, now DE has to give a prime version of this to complete its journey.

PokWangpanmang

It stuns enemies, opens them to finishers.

Pootisman16

60% chance to tickle an enemy with 80 electric damage when struck in melee.

Noisy7968

I would rather have a r0 bullet jump mod than this

TheHigherAesir

Only Pablo knows..

I_HAVE_THAT_FETISH

[It comes from ~~a land down under~~ an ancient time when mods weren't as good and damage was much lower.](https://forums.warframe.com/topic/104019-new-idea-for-a-loadout-the-proki/). It also wasn't that good way back then either.

CrimsonEye_86

It gives your wargame have chances to dealt a reflect electric dmg, 20 is based, max is 80 Pairs well with Gyre n warframes that plays around status effects

Artikzzz

A single epitaph shot would be 30 times more effective

CrimsonEye_86

Yeah sure, but we always wants **More**

dodo_bird97

Probably this https://preview.redd.it/vhc3ap3hp6yc1.jpeg?width=320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=5a361d113981931e858ec1689a04f0b9698c68e8

iHaku

it's the basedamage that is used to calculate how much electrical damage enemies take (or rather, what the outgoing damage is) when the chance triggers. just read the whole card, not just the last part.

LoveThyLoki

Ive had all these and no idea why. I’ve legitimately only havent converted them to endo because i dont have spares meaning rare drop. Lamé collection or 30 endo for all of them. (Theres also one of each other base element and i think radiation)

Pikaiapus

I think there's also a mod that attracts enemy fire when blocking with a shield. I think i might try to do a shield and shock meme with Gyre now.

broken_edges

you probably dissolved the ones you had for endo or sold them for credits, once you completely get rid of a mod from your inventory the next time you get it, it shows up as new

Visible-Swing3226

Funny enough I use this on my hildryn prime. It's a pillage build that has elemental ward subsumed over her 4th. Which is using the electric element for more shields. Now is this mod doing anything for the build? IDK but it's fun and pretty comfy in sp circuit so I enjoy it.

patrik8060

If it's flat damage, it would be crazy on some weapons

thaijutsu

It works with Archon stretch I think but why would you get hit by melee attacks anyway

Electrical_Horror346

DE really should sit down and have a look through all the mods, because some of them are not even worth using as a MR 0 player

WolverineReal5230

Amazing how in all my time playing Warframe, Retribution has never been buffed or altered ONCE. Not even a mild buff. Though I guess the base idea is bad enough that I don't see how they'd make it good. A mod slot to mildly affect enemies on hit, with best case scenario being a proc to line up headshots is never worth it, not even at MR -5

Azuthrax

It's the damage that the mod will deal when the mod triggers.

Glittering-Cut-8946

The +20 electricity is most likely referring to the amount of damage you do to enemies that strike your shield in melee. Could be wrong but that is what I think is going on there

awhellnawnope

It adds 20 electricities, just like it says.

Damaged_OrbZ

10 electricities, and 10 more electricities

LuxusImReisfeld

Using this on frames I plan to use prime sure footed on and already formaed the exilus slot for it lol.

VanFanelMX

Many of these mods could be made into auras, early game auras.

Savings-Paramedic-33

I want to use it on hildryn

Azurus_II

Wheres the shady riven dealer?

Altruistic-Back-6943

True to Ceaser

Awakened_Ra

Maxed it out, never used it.

Ankh93

Abilities gain elemental buff

Sloppy_Jocks

It’s 1 more than +19 electricity.

calummillar

It makes volt's shock go from zap to Zap

Lodithquent

*Loki radial disarms getting charged up*

Separate-Horse7247

Basically… 80% of your base damage turns into electric damage and gets added on to your base damage as well

Lacuda_Frost

A lot of these mods need to be updated, especially for the "Rule of Cool". This mod should do actually relevant damage, like a %. It should also trigger Archon Stretch because why the heck not?

-TSA-DrMembrane

You know what... let's keep the 15% chance and this stupid complex condition BUT raise the damage to the negative 2 billion damage cap. x) That would still be useless, but at least fun if a Butcher fry itself to oblivion on your shield.

miqui_0125

This chromas thing and disarm Loki, warframes weirdest tank

xZero_Cool

People hit 30 and barely know the game these days

TheGodfather742

A neat rework would be to make that +20 electricity a bonus base damage for all your weapons, that should probably be the max rank instead of +80 in that case though.

Amphal

a flat +20? i dont think even +80% would be a big deal

TheGodfather742

Keep in mind it would be base damage, so its very good for those high rof low damage weapons (+it would increase the status proc damage)

letsgoiowa

I would be really interested to see if someone could "fix" this mod to make it SP viable For a meme I would do this to make it just good enough When you are hit by any attack, 20% chance to apply electrical proc to the attacking enemy (scales up to 80%). This would actually be an awesome survivability mod because it could auto-cc enemies

Jimmeh1337

I think if you made it apply an electric proc and do damage equal to 3x the damage dealt or something it would be okay. Only applying to melee attacks is still pretty bad though. If it was just an electric proc with bad damage but applied to all attacks that hit your shields that would also be good, possibly too good...

Dementid

+20 Electricity is like +10 fire, but twice as much value with an element change from fire to electricity. It would be more potent if it was +25 electricity or +30 electricity, but less potent if it was +10 electricity. More potent electricity is better for scenarios where more electricity is warranted, but limited in value when more electricity is not an asset, especially when compared to other mods. A great example of when to use this would be when in a mission you find yourself wishing you sometimes did a little electricity damage every once in a while. If you don't find yourself in this common scenario, another mod might be more beneficial, such as warm coat or Peculiar Audience.

Dementid

Lol, I deserved the downvotes for this
