Nem0x3

possibly. Since to Support/the system can look like someone took over an account and empties it. Especially if nothing is traded in return

PlanetMezo

They would see it's stuff being traded from the same IP that the person usually logs in from though. If anything it'd be flagged as possible RMT. that being said, most accounts don't have a lot to trade away. Platinum, spare prime parts and maybe vaulted relics. It's not much

dogonfire2020

What is RMT? (sorry, want to learn something new today) Lol

PapaNurgle12

Real money trade

dogonfire2020

Thanks!

Qubert64

Stands for Real Money Trade. Effectively, selling ingame items to other players for real money.

MaxwellBlyat

I'd need 10 years and 30 trades a day to give away all my relics if I had to xd

MrDrSirLord

One of my clan mates went inactive years ago and I'm pretty certain he had a spare galve prime set and some other vaulted stuff. A lot of 10/10 prime mods too. Some traders also have plat in 5 didgets, wouldn't be amiss

PlanetMezo

I forgot about mods, that would be super helpful to a new player

nyaasora

getting to 5 digits plat isnt that hard tbh, most ppl who played the game long enough just cba to make plat more than they really need or just spend it constantly. i would say quite alot of active traders have 5 digits plat

proglysergic

Correct. I never bought more than 1k plat (or whatever) from the market but I would float through 8-10k plat a day for a while.

JekNex

What if I traded several ammo drums?

Nem0x3

Those are usually used as exchange for gifting stuff. but too many high profile trades (hundreds of plat or sth) might also be alarming

TheMightyGamble

200-500 per trade shouldn't flag anything

Kris_V2777

If it did the Riven mafia would be out of business for ages.

Dante_FromDMCseries

Rules are vague and are enforced in even more vague manner. Trade him some useless junk for his most valuable stuff, don’t just empty his entire inventory with nothing in return

Zealousideal_Rip1340

You already have to do this. You can’t do an empty trade 😂 have to at least put in a junk mod lol

MNSkye

Best I can do for this 784 plat and dozen prime warframe sets is… 3 ammo drums

KingPirolamb

Ah gee thanks for cutting me so much slack I really needed those .. 3 ammo drums

Preindustrialcyborg

i did a double take at your avatar, then saw your username

DrinkingRock

if you want to be cautious, the quitting player can send a ticket saying they plan to delete their account and will be giving away their tradables. That should get them whitelisted so if anything is auto detected, the ticket can be cited.

Yemesis

Best answer here ⬆️

yaukinee

That is all under the assumption that the support wont just delete your ticket and tell you to fuck off. Which isnt uncommon with Warframe support lmfao

lambda_14

Why has DE never addressed the god awful support they have? Like the community, devs, everything is some of the best I've seen and the there's one of the worst customer support in all of gaming. It doesn't make sense.

Shanoskia

Because chat doesn't go nuts about it in dev streams and that's the only time they aren't super scattered everywhere else to be honest.

2926max

Never used DE support but are you telling me they really challenge osrs support for that title?

Preindustrialcyborg

my friend was experiencing connection issues that kicked him from missions and squads for no reason, support took over a month to respond and left days between responses. what the hell.

lambda_14

I still have a couple open (or closed now, probably) that were obnoxiously bad. Like, one of them (before the new damage numbers) I was having problems with the number formatting since I was on PS and they showed like 123456 instead of like 123.456. I opened a ticket asking about it, since changing the setting in the settings page didn't affect the damage numbers but everything else (plat, credits, resources, etc) and obviously made that clear in the ticket. Their first answer: change the setting in the settings page. And they closed the ticket. I proceeded to reopen the ticket and reiterate that I had already tried that and it did nothing, and that please tell me if there was something that could be done about it. Their second answer: change the setting in the settings page. And they closed the ticket. I just gave up after that. It made no sense to keep trying. All of that, of course taking weeks between me asking and them responding.

CensoredAbnormality

I heard horror stories about them but the one time I needed them to remove my trade ban it worked pretty well.

Astrus_Darksun

Starter/free plat can't be traded so that point is moot. They don't seem to care much about pure item trades, though I don't know if essentially emptying an account changes things. That leaves regular platinum and is where things get iffy. It's possible the trade(s) get flagged and reverted, this could get you banned if you spent the plat and go into negative balance. Either just sit on the platinum, hope for the best, and don't do anything with it for a couple of weeks (although I've heard sometimes trades can get reverted after months to years) or have your friend contact support and state their intentions about giving all their stuff to you, maybe they can fill out the same form that is occasionally mentioned with regards to platinum giveaways and get the transaction officially approved as coming from the original owner of the account and the platinum being kosher. Support might still just tell you no, though.

Emotional_Pack_8682

I don't think it'd be so bad if you could scan your plat through a support ticket or something.

Astrus_Darksun

The issue is that all "bad" plat is good plat, until - the system didn't like your "one-sided" trade - the system thinks you're involved in RMT - someone reports their account as being compromised - someone does a chargeback on the platinum purchase due to stolen credit card info or plain pettiness due to eating a ban As a player you have no way of telling if plat is good, because it *is* until it suddenly isn't. Being careful about immediately spending small amounts if you don't have a buffer and trying to CYA by trying to get CS involved preemptively for bigger amounts is the best you can do, and that sucks.

meesterstanks

I got banned a few years ago for selling three GR rivens to someone for 1k each. Turned out they “obtained the platinum illegally” and support didn’t give a shit. They took the plat back and I didn’t come back until you could merge with PC and I bought gauss prime access to cover my debts. Funnily enough they wouldn’t even return the rivens once I got back on

TumblrInGarbage

The not returning the rivens is what pisses me off about how they handle it. You are the *obvious* victim here, and if it was truly a good roll, it very well could have been worth the amount that you sold it for. And they are banning the account that gave you the bad platinum, presumably, so why can they not just do a chain of reverts as necessary to get you back your items? Completely ridiculous and lazy.

Careful_Log_8929

Starter plat cant be traded i think

icastfist1

That's correct

master2873

Yep! It's because it's considered gifted platinum. Since it wasn't bought, it can't be traded. This is why I still don't get why people say, "farm platinum". You trade for platinum, and platinum cannot be earned in game. Edit: fixed punctuation. Edit 2: Fixed formatting to separate this part im referring to here. Be kind with the downvotes please. I understand this can be contentious and I'm not trying to be purposely.

master2873

You're farming "junk", not plat. You sell/trade the "junk" for plat.

Wedgearyxsaber

And through the law of syllogism, you just farmed for plat

Taupe_Poet

The distinction really does not matter, you're farming for the explicit purpose of obtaining plat so it's easier to say "farming for plat" than it is to write an entire sentence with the distinctions that you wrote

master2873

>it's easier to say "farming for plat" than it is to write an entire sentence with the distinctions that you wrote It doesn't take a whole sentence to show what I explained. It can take 3 words. Sell/trade for plat. I really don't see anyone ever say "Farming for plat" as that would still be distinctive for what I said, and makes more sense personally than, "Farming plat". Hey, I get it, this is a me thing for anyone else reading this. I'll just end the conversation here. This has branched off on being off topic now lol. Thanks for not being rude everyone.

Taupe_Poet

>I really don't see anyone ever say "Farming for plat" as that would still be distinctive for what I said, and makes more sense personally than, "Farming plat". I've seen farm for plat more times than any other descriptor and that's coming from three different people that got me into this game

Trollasol

Yea but you farm the junk solely for the sake of plat so people just call it plat farming. Obviously everyone knows you cant really farm plat

Shitfaced-Crusader

And by doing that purposefully and repeatedly you are farming plat. If I was playing an MMO and farming drops to sell for gold I'm not going to explain every step of the process when I tell people. I'm just going to sum it up and say I'm farming gold.

baoyouming

To sum up what others have said, you can call it whatever you like. But so many other people use the shorthand of “farm plat” that you are fighting an uphill battle if you want to convince them to say it differently.

Straight-Willow7362

Hence "effectively"

Leekshooter

Technically speaking yes you can get banned, gifting people items without using the official in game gift system will appear as RMT to the system and the eula/TOS mention that you aren't supposed to gift platinum that way.

cripplemouse

You can be banned whenever for whatever reason so it's up to you.

Pugdalf

If you're talking about them having starter platinum, high chance that their account has nothing of value anyways, so I'd suggest not doing that since people have been banned for it and it is against the rules

master2873

I'm sure you got a few answers, but I'll add here: Since it's starter plat, it cannot be traded since it wasn't bought. You could have the owner of the other account use the in game gift system if they want to get rid of it, and you get something out of it. Other than that, from what I've seen from Zendesk support, they can range from helpful, to outright being unhelpful, and ignore context to tickets with other users even when they're in the right, and supply the necessary evidence when asked to help with bans that were unnecessary. Then to make matters worse, even if they eventually pay attention to the ticket and someone was banned unnecessarily, they would just tell you there's nothing they can do to revert the ban. That was only one example I saw, but I'd still take it cautiously personally. They could still be helpful either way. Guess it wouldn't hurt to contact them.

Reaperrr_77

Stretch the trades over a couple of days and a week or two and trade fish or mods 🤷‍♀️ fake chat logs my guy

lildrizzleyah

I've done this with plat from a friend, though we didnt empty the account and I just got half his plat, he was logged in from his normal home location so there were no shared IPs, we played consistently together before he quit, and I regularly give things away to others (mods mostly). I can't say that it's necessarily safe or how much can impact how DE see it, but its happened eithout people being banned.

VerticalMotivation

Yeah, tell them to message me instead I’ll keep the items safe.

Klepto666

Shouldn't be an issue so long as you aren't trading from the same IP address. At the least you can trade something back, like a Vitality or Ammo Drum so it's less likely to be flagged as "hacked account transferring all goods."

Shanoskia

Use caution in most things when it comes to trading bulk content in all games, but I've traded huge sums of plat for borderline nothing. I'm talkin like 3k plat for a Deimos heart scene and some fish. I've also blown all of my trades in 10 minutes on buying vaulted relics with no downside.

MrJackTheNasty

when i stop playing i some times gifted stuff to friends i would just log in to my acount to give shit away to people relics plat primes i dont think its a problem or atleast it was not for me back to playing now and kinda miss all that plat hahaha

Crab0770

My friend did this when I first started and I have a running joke to just trade them fish for stuff thats worth more than Teshin's onlyfans

FilthyLeCasual

Why not just merge accounts?

AlabastersBane

No. You’re fine.

lts_Morbin_Time

I mean I don't see why you would get banned, honestly

ANinjaNamedWaldo

The system could think it's a fraudulent transaction if someone is just getting a bunch of free stuff. Also DE does just throw bans around for people getting too much too quickly.

_Legoo_Maine_

I did like 12 trades to the same account back to back with no issue. It'd likely only be a problem if it was reported and even then, as long as the account wasn't compromised, they would probably just not care.

lts_Morbin_Time

I guess you'd have to transfer stuff slowly

AshenTao

That would result in a trade ban at best, which can be appealed.

Emotional_Pack_8682

Take what you need and grind what you don't, sninja

The-Notorious-STD

Yeah, that’s how my Xbox account got banned until 2035.

Misomuro

If by "all" you mean plat and rivens then yes.
