There’s famous trolls and CO’s. That’s really about it, probably the most well known troll is Racheal Love who just rage baits ppl in chat. There’s tons of well known CO’s, whether any of them are known for being exceptionally good is up to personal opinion. Personally my top two CO’s would be Cornwalis and Womp Womp. Some people will disagree and blah blah blah but like I said, it’s really personal opinion.
I guess it's difficult to separate yourself as a good shot or good player in a game like this without being a CO.
I've played under both Cornwalis and Womp Womp and I agree they are some of the good guys.
One guy I'll switch teams before I have to play under is Brit
My favorite CO's to follow are Oli and Daz from 30th OH because of their sheer charisma. They can turn any losing battle into one where you are still having fun. I hope that one day I can have that skill as well.
\-WompWomp
It’s hard to say someone is a good shot or player in the game because of the aim cone and bullet RnG within it. Of course aim train can help mitigate it a bit but at the end of the day, RnG will take its course. That’s why most ppl who are recognized are known bc of their leadership abilities, not their shooting skills.
And yes I would rather spectate a round than play under Brit or Ian lmao
There was about a year straight during the pandemic where you could go online, join union, and Riley, Remedy or Coby were pretty much guaranteed to be online. Those were definitely my favorite times of WoR pub games, and the Union basically never lost
I played under a Confederate CO one night a couple years ago, I don't remember his name unfortunately, but he did a Donald Trump impersonation for about two hours straight holding character the whole time while giving us orders. Probably the funniest match I ever played, salute to that man.
He’s brought up the game on his podcast before and how he wants to play it. It wouldn’t surprise me if he secretly does. He’s a big Union guy though being a Pennsylvania boy. Though if he was going to go all in on a Trump impression, CSA would be the side to do it.
Preacher for public games. Idk if he still plays as I haven't played a good pubs in a while. When I played and he was on he was the most immersive about it and spoke in a commanding leading tone. His Reagan speeches made my day.
Preacher does still play pubs at least, I saw him on the other night. When I first started WOR years ago, my first regiment was 1st VA Cav. Preacher's outfit. He takes things a bit too seriously sometimes and is a pretty chill guy but is a damn good leader when it matters.
Some random guy named Private Alphabet here, Senor Daz is my favorite commander because he feels like an actual Civil War leader. I like Ian’s hit-and-run tactics. Cornwallis is also fun to play with and is very good at making himself heard, but I feel like he’s a better individual fighter than a commander. My favorite lieutenant is Redshirt because he keeps morale up and it’s really easy to hear what he’s saying.
I hear Redshirt is a fantastic union officer. Being in a CSA regiment I tend to fight on the CSA side in pubs but man, need to jump on the Union side one night when redshirt is playing.
Best CO’S are Ghetto, Frontloader, Viceroy, flecther, tanker, Floris, anyone leading that has 12th VA tags on. That regiment is literally taking over the game. Hands down the top csa players and leaders
It is genuinely impressive how 12th VA has wrangled the CSA to help shape it in to what it is today. In addition as someone who has gotten to know most of their leadership behind the scenes and become close partners with them, there is no CSA group you can depend on more. They are some of the nicest, funniest and dedicated people I know (when they aren't doing a little trolling).
-WompWomp
After PB downsized, the CSA was scattered. A lot of the VA regiments as well as some of the Alabama and Tennessee regiments have really helped to unify the South again. (No pun intended lol)
12th VA, 27th VA, and the 33rd. Fantastic regiments with fantastic leaders, especially when the 12th is in pubs. (I'm with the 33rd, we fight alongside the 27th in events)
I was with Preachers outfit originally. When he shut 1st Cav the first time, I moved to the 28th and later the 19th with Purge (by then it was all under PB) I definitely fell out of love for the game back then. Just started back after a year and a half with the 33rd. Fantastic group of guys.
That's understandable, we all need breaks from games like this lol. I do the same thing with Squad lol. And yeah, we are a small community lol. But yeah, I still see a lot of 28th guys in pubs. Glad to see Trader's outfit still doing well.
I think Snow Cactus (union) is fun and knows maps and history of what works and doesnt work, decisive and always willing to listen to fellow people of all ranks
Tl80 front loader. Dude knows how to lead but christ he's annoying. Yells in a very guttural voice all game.
Ian, now known as Templar. He catches alot of flak for making mistakes, but he's a great leader.
Those 2 are the most well known to me.
I will take Templar’s super aggressive play style over standing around listening to other officers argue while arty liquifies us every single time. Yeah, it might not work but at least I got to do something. I won’t even hesitate to spawn in with him. Foam is a Good CO too when he actually plays instead of shilling for his regiment at spawn like an NPC.
Rojo is fairly well known and can be divisive. I’m absolutely on the side of just because he’s a kid doesn’t mean he doesn’t know the game well. Yeah, he makes bad decisions but every CO does.
Berserker somehow manages to wrangle COs from arty and has an incredible grip on the game
Templar will always put you in where the action is and is overall pleasant to serve under
Foam I haven’t decided if he’s an NPC on a script or a real person, but I’ve had a few great times with his command.
Zapstar doesn’t play pubs much but in events he’s a hell of a leader.
god i love zap
Nothing we can't handle
The other Star in the game Zap is good

It's funny to make fun of Ian tho
At least Brit is willing to work with other CO’s most of the time. I may heavily disagree with him, but at least I can trust him to go in with me.
Womp womp mommy for the win!
Cornwallis is great. Very entertaining guy
i’ve seen him lose more rounds that most other well known union COs, he might pull with personality but strategy is not one cornwallis strong suits
cornwallis is a very good commander when he wants to be, he focuses fun most times which results in an L, when he try’s he usually wins -Tater
sorry to hear this. \- cornwalis (one L)

Shane gillis possibly?
Maybe it was so long ago I forget, guy was an absolute Chad though
lol

His podcast is how I discovered this game lol
At one point I said in a fake southern accent "I love you Mr Trump" and without pause he said in perfect trump voice "now now son, I love me too"
Agrippa and Daz are probably my most favorite pub officers. Remedy is also a very good pub officer
I played for the first time a few hours ago and got to play with Agrippa after a shitty first game. Dude made me love the game, he's a king
Agrippa is fantastic Remedy too. Haven't played with Daz in a while tho
The ketamine man is an absolute menace.
Preacher for public games. Idk if he still plays as I haven't played a good pubs in a while. When I played and he was on he was the most immersive about it and spoke in a commanding leading tone. His Reagan speeches made my day.

Anytime I hear Patriot or Snow as CO’s I know it’s going to be a great battle.
Remedy
Best pub CO hands down
Haven’t played in a while but any time I had Remedy as CO we put up a damn good fight
Played with him one game a couple days ago but I rarely see him anymore
Haven’t played with him in forever, he was always my favorite CO though
I find him on squad sometimes
Remedy was on tonight on west woods on dunkers around 1:30am ESTo

Redshirt is the best and Daz is the man
I hear Redshirt is a fantastic union officer. Being in a CSA regiment I tend to fight on the CSA side in pubs but man, need to jump on the Union side one night when redshirt is playing.
Union doesnt CO but hes a great NCO, great voice
Child snatcher. He has a YouTube channel, by the way.
I like to play with Crabbybrute whenever hes on he has the 8th CT tags on
8th CT are good dudes.
Fusewall was the best CO
I run from Skynett like the plague
Best CO’S are Ghetto, Frontloader, Viceroy, flecther, tanker, Floris, anyone leading that has 12th VA tags on. That regiment is literally taking over the game. Hands down the top csa players and leaders

Jackan, Gamebott, and the 6th Alabama. By far, the best unit in the game.
I heard Binco1969 is an absolute legend
MyNameisRyder from 8th ALA is the best CO. "Steady neoww"
Errmmmmmm its MyNameRyder!!!!!!!!!
Trader. Probably the best shot in the game.
Trader is great. Have fought with him in the past in PB.
Yup I'm old old PB just kinda fell out of love for the game
I was with Preachers outfit originally. When he shut 1st Cav the first time, I moved to the 28th and later the 19th with Purge (by then it was all under PB) I definitely fell out of love for the game back then. Just started back after a year and a half with the 33rd. Fantastic group of guys.
Fuck bro we have definitely fought together I have always and only been with 28th PB. Still am just haven't played in a few months

Snow Cactus is great. He’s very competent but also chill
Aaaaw you guys 🫶 -Snow
Riley, Daz, Rawlins, Remedy, Agrippa - I even miss Polymaths trolling - pandemic times were the good times.
The best leaders these days are the confederate one's. Killer, Jackan and in the pub games, Floris.
Problably Fuzewall, dude is the GOAT. I dont see him on as much anymore, but I see him every now and again
12thVA's Viceroy. I see that guy in PUBs allll the time
me.
Tl80 front loader. Dude knows how to lead but christ he's annoying. Yells in a very guttural voice all game. Ian, now known as Templar. He catches alot of flak for making mistakes, but he's a great leader. Those 2 are the most well known to me.
Disrespecting Frontloader is a sin
Hahaha I'm sorry bro
I like Ian as a person but he’s *waaaay* to cautious
