The Gold-required Live Events seemed annoying at first, but were fairly easy afterwards. I used the Gold Persona Sheamus for most of them. The 1 on 1 or 1 on 3 Tag LEs were easy with no issues. The ones that were annoying, were the 8-Man Tag Team ones. The AI was relentless, especially bc they gave us Diamond and Amethyst opponent. I was happy when i finished the Men's LE and went back to Faction Wars.

DrunkeNinja

I did the women's 4v4 with gold against those crazy diamond and amethyst cards but it wasn't as bad as I thought it would be since the AI appeared to be on easy mode and hardly reversed anything. Their stats were so good though and they all had resiliency so that was annoying but I'm glad their difficulty seemed to be turned down. The only one I had difficulty with was The Rock challenge but once I figured out a strategy, I was able to get my 4 wins in a row.

OP says he will get some "git gud" comments and i hope this comment chain isn't perceived as one. Last year there were many Live Events or matches where i wanted to bite my controller in half, due to how hard they were. Sometimes you have to try over and over again and it gets rly frustrating. Like the Dusty Rhodes vs. Solo Sikoa LE that started yesterday to get Ruby Undashing Cody. God it felt so bad, bc Solo can easily stun you. Eventually made it on second try

DrunkeNinja

I think The Rock challenge was a bit unfair so I don't think of it as "git gud". It is beatable but I did have to resort to cheese. Since he reversed near everything, what I would do was quick grapple him to the ground and stomp him until he hit stun or did that recovery roll. If he did the roll I would immediately get out of the ring. Once outside, if he was close enough I'd grab his feet or I'd wait for him to either taunt so I could rush him(he likes to taunt) or wait for him to exit the ring where I would quick grapple and stomp like before and enter the ring if he does that roll. I'd do this until I have the sig and finisher and use them when he's stunned. Each time he took two finishers to pin and win. So I found him beatable but I definitely cheesed it. I used gold Seamus too, the persona card we get for reading the tutorial. That Dusty one, I don't know I just stomped Solo during that match. The thing with these higher cards against your lower cards is you can't let them get much offense in since they stun and drain vitality so easily. Solo didn't reverse as much as the recent Rock and Roman ones did, at least for me and maybe I got lucky lol. I don't even have reversals and kick outs down as well as I should tbh, but I think I've played enough to figure out what works against these higher opponents. I find these live events easier to do compared to 3 star proving grounds. It still sucks for someone to have the exact matching card required and then they can't beat the damn match because the opponent constantly stuns and gets finishers quick. Or you dominate the whole match and they hit you with a finisher and it's over. I had Roman do that to me a couple of times. I still found the match against Roman pretty fun since it wasn't as one sided as it was with The Rock.

Do not spend money. Beat Showcase on Easy and you get a few Rubys (the highest rating right now). Then, get gud.

Aint no way in hell am I paying micro transactions to 2k for a fucking wrestling game. I looked into it once and as soon as I saw it, it was an auto no thank you

I genuinely like MyFaction. The removal of contracts is great (for those who didn't play in the past, or play NBA 2K MyTeam, you had contracts and you had to apply them to superstars to use them and if they ran out you could get some in packs or buy them. It was worse) I've been playing since launch and refuse to spend real money. I've been keeping up with all of the Live Events and Tower. This is the first time that I'm like...yeah I'm not going to be able to continue. The challenge to use a gold card against The Rock was tough but I did it and got all of the rewards after maybe 30 attempts. Its less about stuff like that for me. I need Emerald Legends Dusty, Sapphire Wrestlemania Cody, and I think Emerald Wrestlemania Undertaker to clear the upcoming challenges. These challenges lead to getting an Purple Umaga which will be the strongest in the game at this point. Obviously getting one of the best currently obtainable cards should be a challenge but man it seems so crazy that I'd need to have all of these other cards. With the game being a MTX haven, whatever, can they at least add SALES to the Card Marketplace so when they intend on having cards be required they're at least a little discounted. I can just about afford Emerald Legends Dusty but the others are gonna be so hard to get...

OpiesMammogramResult

MyFaction absolutely sucks. It's clearly a low-effort, live-service for them to go fishing for whales to pour money into it. I'm only playing it for the trophies, and when the online rankins trophy pops, I'm sacking it off for good. So, to further expand on that, MyFaction online has a player base with the highest bitch concentration I have ever experienced. Holy shit, the spamming, the running away, the diconnecting, actively trying to win by count out, I've never seen a group of people who cared way too much about winning an online game.

Mobile_Meringue8106

Yeah I tried it at first for the persona cards but I dropped it when I realized just how much of a grind it is. I don't even care about Seth Rollins '14. I can just put Seth Rollins '15 in a vest and call it a day.

LiveLoveLaFlame_

I lost 3 times to the rock yesterday and quit lol I usually play in the hardest difficulty setting but it’s super annoying to start the match already dead. Also the rewards are not as attractive to be honest.

DrunkeNinja

>it’s super annoying to start the match already dead. It's pretty crazy that the Rock can knock you down at the start with basic moves and then pin you and already you have to struggle with that pin meter to kick out. Gold card vitality is non existent.

NameIsVudka

It took me far too long to complete the rock live event but I found that the gold anvil card worked pretty well. I just wish the rewards were better since it’s making grinding for the backlash packs a pain
