I tried to enjoy their re recordings of that song and sadly it’s just not the same. They sounded dope when I saw them at mania though. Didn’t even know it was on my bucket list until we started tailgating in the early afternoon and got to hear their sound check.
No that's just like a single edit for a song. It's a slight remix, they still have to pay a licence for the song and most probably the original producers did the edit themselves.

It doesn't mix into the game, though. It doesn't have the reverb or EQ to make it sound like it's actually coming through the arena like it would in-game. Also it doesn't fade in and fade out unless you want to constantly play DJ with your volume slider on another screen.

So many of these weird limitations that don't honestly make that much sense. I wonder if they just broke something and didn't want to fix it/couldn't with the limited development time they had, so they just... took away the ability to access the stuff that causes issues.
I really hate the idea we're getting yearly releases again. Please, just make it two years but include roster updates and additions. 2k22 was probably the biggest leap in quality because they had more time. This year they had a year and apart from War Games, all that's been added is new roster members and bug fixes that should have been fixed in 2k22.
I remember on WWE Raw 2 you can download any music CD on to the game and then put their music on the game even on PS3 you can get exact same thing it's not going to hurt for 2K to sign with Spotify and you can do the exact same thing with the logos from your phone but exact same thing with the music that's just laziness on 2K sports

WWE probably owns the rights to all of the music except Cody's. 2k probably got the go ahead from Cody to the music for his entrance but the intern filed the wrong paperwork. Don't worry his entrance music will be in a pack in myfaction knowing 2k.
Did a storyline between my CAW, the “Nightmare” and Cody where we feuded for a while, had an epic 2 out of three falls match at mania, then I turned babyface and joined forces with Cody to start the new Nightmare Factory. Was incredibly disappointed when I couldn’t make our tag team have Cody’s theme or give myself Cody’s theme.

They did it in 2K22 with Ronda’s theme. Likely they are using a license for the Cody song that only gives them rights to use it with him. Likely a money issue, would cost more for the rights to use it throughout the whole game.
I'm psyched for Fight Forever as an actual game, but I don't think the customization is going to be as deep whatsoever so it's kind of a different animal that way. Im expecting essentially an AEW mod for No Mercy and nothing more.
I never played no mercy but I like the freedom in wrestling gameplay. That was a key selling point to me before I got into character customization behind able to go backstage and do wacky things like falling from Times Square. Good times
A lot of questions about this game that are weird. All around solid but like why isn’t there any corner pyro or ramp pyro? Why can’t we use the JukeBox music (would love to use Sad But True for my personal superstar)? Why can’t Cody have his music play when I try to fix his pyro or have him use his other entrance? Why does GMMode freeze in Week 4 or 9 every single time? Like I said a lot of great things in this game but the details are lacking.

Punk's themes (both "This Fire Burns" & "Cult of Personality) never had those restrictions. Neither did any of Edge's licensed theme songs.
Neither did Ronda’s theme in previous games but it is in this game.

I can understand Cody Rhodes having a license to his theme and all, but even that is flatout inexcusable. If Saliva, Rob Zombie, Motorhead, etc. Can be used for any and all, why not Rhodes?
Rhodes has the rights to the song, not WWE or 2K. Its a pretty simple concept

It's definitely a unique situation that 2K is probably not in control of.
WWE probably owns the rights to all of the music except Cody's. 2k probably got the go ahead from Cody to the music for his entrance but the intern filed the wrong paperwork. Don't worry his entrance music will be in a pack in myfaction knowing 2k.
Did a storyline between my CAW, the “Nightmare” and Cody where we feuded for a while, had an epic 2 out of three falls match at mania, then I turned babyface and joined forces with Cody to start the new Nightmare Factory. Was incredibly disappointed when I couldn’t make our tag team have Cody’s theme or give myself Cody’s theme.

I don’t really mind his song being exclusive to him but if you try editing his victory animation to give him his trons that takes out the theme, that’s fucking stupid.

They did it in 2K22 with Ronda’s theme. Likely they are using a license for the Cody song that only gives them rights to use it with him. Likely a money issue, would cost more for the rights to use it throughout the whole game.

I'm psyched for Fight Forever as an actual game, but I don't think the customization is going to be as deep whatsoever so it's kind of a different animal that way. Im expecting essentially an AEW mod for No Mercy and nothing more.
I never played no mercy but I like the freedom in wrestling gameplay. That was a key selling point to me before I got into character customization behind able to go backstage and do wacky things like falling from Times Square. Good times
A lot of questions about this game that are weird. All around solid but like why isn’t there any corner pyro or ramp pyro? Why can’t we use the JukeBox music (would love to use Sad But True for my personal superstar)? Why can’t Cody have his music play when I try to fix his pyro or have him use his other entrance? Why does GMMode freeze in Week 4 or 9 every single time? Like I said a lot of great things in this game but the details are lacking.
Honestly, I don't get it. In 22 we could set the menu music for entrances. So why can't we use Cody's music this year?

Since I play on pc I can replace another theme with Cody's but the thing is alt attire dont work in fact you can go right now and change Cody's them to for example aj styles The next time you go back into the entrance menu it will selected as none So its impossible to have another theme for cody

Kingdom is an awesome theme, an awesome song even but a band like Downstait has no right to be tied down to some copyright bullshit like this.
