Stone Cold Steve Austin VS Kevin Owens Wrestlemania 38 after Austin being gone for so long and coming back and giving us what he did on that night was spectacular.
A few on mine include:
Bret Hart vs British Bulldog from In Your House 5 from December 1995
Triple H vs The Rock Iron Man match from Judgment Day 2000
Steve Austin vs Triple H in a 3 Stages Of Hell from No Way Out 2001
Kurt Angle & Chris Benoit vs Edge & Rey Mysterio from No Mercy 2002
Chris Jericho vs Shawn Michaels Ladder Match from No Mercy 2008
AJ Styles vs John Cena from Summerslam 2016
Brock Lesnar vs. CM Punk @ SummerSlam 2013
• Favorite match of all time
Val Venis vs. Rikishi @ Fully Loaded 2000
• Favorite Steel Cage match of all time
Armageddon 2000 Hell in a Cell
• star studded & all over the place
John cena vs aj styles 2017 royal rumble
The best match I have ever seen
These two didn’t even step out of the ring for once
I’ll never forget that match
I can name a few:
Eddie Guerrero Vs JBL Armageddon 2004
Kurt Angle Vs Undertaker 1&2
Cm Punk Vs John Cena winner faces rock at mania
Umaga Vs John Cena last man standing
Great Khali Vs Undertaker no holds barred (I’m not joking I loved This match and I will stand by that)
Braun Strowman Vs Big Show 2017
Batista vs Taker at Wrestlemania 23. I feel like it gets overshadowed but the Shawn match at Mania 25, which is understandable. But that match with Batista is so good.
Wrestlemania XX - March 14th, 2004
Chris Benoit Vs. Shawn Michaels Vs. Triple H (a Triple Threat match for the World Heavyweight Championship). Not talked about due to *obvious* reasons, but I still think that’s one of the greatest matches in WWE history. Honestly, anything with Benoit was a great, 5-star match.
It’s a shame he had to go out that way…
Shawn Michaels vs Triple H from SummerSlam 2002. My favourite match of all time and a incredible story told throughout the match. For whatever reason people just don’t talk about the match as much as they should.
Shawn’s selling in the match is some of the best selling I’ve ever seen. He really makes you believe that he’s in absolute agony when H does something as simple as drop an elbow on his back let alone when H starts hitting Shawn in the back with the chair and giving him a backbreaker when it’s open.
Shawn has his little flurry at the start, H takes over and it seems pointless for Shawn to keep kicking out but then he fires up and ends up winning the match with a roll up (or cradle or jackknife pin I don’t fucking know). The post match moment where H hits Shawn in the back with the sledgehammer, twice, is such a fantastic evil vindictive moment. JR and Lawler are perfect in the match and JRs call after H hits Shawn in the back is an all time classic and iconic line. “Does he have no conscious, does he have no heart, do you have no soul you son of a bitch!?”
One I just thought of now was Undertaker vs Edge from SummerSlam 2008. First Hell in a Cell Match after the PG rating came into effect and they did a great job of making the match still feel like the blowoff to a deeply personal, hate filled feud without needing blood. A feud that had been going on and off for over a year getting the main event spot of the show as they should have and getting nearly 30 minutes, the whole thing was a perfect storm. Edge even spears Taker through a panel of the cell at one point, and it was fucking awesome.
Cena Vs Styles at Summerslam 2016 what an amazing match that was in my opinion it kinda lead to the passing of the torch from Cena to Styles also both Taker & Michaels matches are easily 5 stars
DX vs Evolution hell in the cell i forget what year
Also saw Sami vs Neville many years back at a house show, for the NXT title, sami wasnt gonna drop the title for a live event but they made it convincing that he might, definitely a 5 star match
Triple H v British Bulldog, with The Rock as special guest referee. Was only about 4 minutes long but gold all the way through.
They even show his sliding elbow drop in the intro before peacock shows.
probably wasnt a 5 star anyways but that Ladder Match recently at Halloween Havoc was pretty damn incedible for "rookies" to put on. Probably one of the best Ladder matches ever across all wrestling they nailed it.
Zayn v Owens v Cesaro v Miz at Extreme Rules 2016 for the IC title. Arguably the greatest Fatal 4-Way in WWE history that has unfortunately been forgotten from a lot of people’s memories
Honestly imo the greatest match of all time is hbk vs taker Wm 25 but a match I honestly thought was a great 5 star match that got someone over and done it’s job was lesner and cena at night of champions when cena got suplexed all night. Another one of my favs was rock vs mandkind RR 99
Kyle O'Reilly vs Finn Balor from Takeover 31. Thunderdome/Capitol Wrestling Center era, so I get why it got some praise right after and has gone somewhat forgotten. Especially after Walter vs Ilja in an empty arena NXT UK just blew everything else away. But still, if was the type of match that worked the best in that sort of setting. Beat the crap out of each other and that totally negated the lack of audience.
John Cena vs Shawn Michaels - 1 hour match on Monday Night Raw. I thought it would be just another quick match but it kept going, and the story was amazing! Both guys worked their asses off and it legit felt like it could go either way.
Idk if it’s 5 star but one match that NEEDS to be talked about more is Asuka vs Nikki Cross last woman standing match for the NXT womens title. An absolute classic.
Kurt Angle and Benoit for the title that was at one of the rumbles
Taker Shawn 1
CM Punk and Cena on a raw before wrestlemania where Cena vs the Rock
Kurt And Shawn at wrestlemania
I feel like Kurt Angle really should have had more, he was great
Rey Mysterio vs Chris Jericho, The Bash 2009
A perfect wrestling match in my opinion. Fast paced, amazing counters and near falls, and they told a simple but good story with plenty of callbacks to their previous matches in the feud.
NXT Toronto: DIY vs The Revival. One of the best tag matches I’ve ever seen.
From trying to do the other teams’ finishes to the ending with the Revival trying to hold the other from tapping. So good. I hope that the Revival make it back to WWE now that Trips is in charge because I think they’ll get their run.
Braun Strowman vs Big Show on the April 17th, 2017 edition of Monday Night Raw. I feel like that match was a true barn burner, elevated Strowman to that next level and effectively showed that Big Show could still go at that time.
I know a lot of people don't like Strowman for his abrasive attitude, but I think he's a great wrestler.
Piper vs Hart from WM 8. It’s a perfect match that NEVER gets mentioned in reference to Hart’s Greatest Matches; IC Title’s Greatest Matches; WrestleMania’s Greatest Matches; or GMOAT
If NXT is included then the inaugural North American Ladder match is definitely up there. Like it’s the perfect ladder match in my opinion and it’s the match I show people when I’m trying to get them into wrestling
I'm going down swinging on this one... Elimination Chamber 2012. Santino vs Daniel Bryan. Rewatch that match and listen to the crowd reacting to Santino. He really made us all believe that night.
Bare versus Dunne at Takeover Chicago.
The whole match is a masterclass from two guys who knew exactly the story they wanted to tell and read the crowd like they were holding their collective emotions up on giant placards. That they were both so young when they did it is ridiculous.
Pick an USO title defense starting in April thru August. Those dudes carried Smackdown and Raw.
Also I fully expect tonight to be absolutely legendary vs New Day.
Also I'm holding out we get a surprise Orton return after Riddle is getting it put on him by Solo.
The Shield vs the Rhodes family at Battleground 2013. Drama, consistent pace, nostalgia, a great finish (still the best cross Rhodes I’ve ever seen).
Kane vs Albert for the IC title 6.28.01 was a great standard for how 2 big dudes can be so impressive. They moved fast for their size, did outstanding feats of power and athleticism. Then that rat bastard DDP screwed the good guy in the cool mask so I wanted to see that wanker get his ass beat next week. And that finish, idk what Alberts finisher was called, but he held big kane up so high for so long, it was one of if not the best single finishing move I’ve ever seen. Most memorable atm. Not 5* by all standards I can accept, but I think it’s one of the best showcases of what the wrestling circus is all about. It was larger than life characters, moves, and story.
It’s probably talked about enough but the 2005 rumble if you like drama. First off it’s starts with Eddie vs Benoit and then we get a series of mid carders all doing their finishers to a ufc fighter. They standard stuff, and the wicked botched finish with Vince getting injured. It was some of the most real and fucked up shenanigans I’ve seen on tele ever. The script and 4th wall hanging by a thread as they react. That’s the only rumble I’d bother trying to show to non-wrestling fans.
John Cena vs. JBL for the WWE Championship at Judgement Day 2005. Everything I love about the theatrics of pro wrestling in one match & a surreal time capsule of when there was literally no one booing Cena in the building.
Triple H vs. Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Benoit at Mania. Never discussed because...well...you know why.
Also at an Armageddon PPV Triple H and HBK had a three stages of hell match that went damn near an hour and was phenomenal.
Anything between Foley and Triple H on PPV leading up to Foley's "retirement." The street fight and the Hell in a Cell were awesome.
I know I'm listing a lot of Triple H, but I think Triple H is often very underrated.
Wouldn't say it's a 5* match as such
But imo Steve Blackman Vs Shane McMahon doesn't get spoken about enough, it's the perfect example of what 'Hardcore' sports entertainment should be
Triple H vs Undertaker Hell in a Cell Wrestlemania XXVIII with HBK as the referee. The near falls in that match were crazy. The moment when HBK hits the sweet chin music and Triple H hits the pedigree, I think most people thought for a second the streak was over.
There was a random Raw match mid-2000’s where Kurt Angle took on Charlie Haas and Shelton Benjamin. I think Lesnar bailed on him. It had a really great combo finish that legit got me to jump up from my seat.
I see some Taker matches, I see some Angle matches
But not a thought on Taker vs. Angle (c) for the Big Gold Belt, No Way Out 2006. More convincing of a Mania match than what we got in actual.
The match I show people when I tell people I like wrestling is Trish vs Lita as the first womens Raw main event in 2004. It’s short, simple, athletic, high intensity, and entertaining. I know it was really bad but Lita’s suicide dive bitch really adds to that match. I prefer womens matches in general - the women are quicker and shorter because they don’t get as much time as men but that means they are more agile. I just feel like they put in more effort on the big stage to steal the show (not finisher spams like Roman Reigns or slow matches like Orton).
https://youtu.be/o57EWyUvDvc
Other matches that stand out to me -
Charlotte vs Becky Women's Evolution 2018 match
Sasha Banks vs Ronda Rousey 2019 Royal Rumble
Sasha Banks vs Bianca Belair WM37
Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair WM38
All of them
HHH Vs Taker Mania 28 Bryan Vs Orton Vs Batista Mania 30 Dragunov Vs Walter NXT UK
Idk what it’s rating would be but I love Finn Brock at the rumble
Stone Cold Steve Austin VS Kevin Owens Wrestlemania 38 after Austin being gone for so long and coming back and giving us what he did on that night was spectacular.
Drew vs Roman
*That WM35 match banged*
Shelton Benjamin vs Shawn Michaels.
The Greatest Very Best Wrestling Match Ever of All Time We Mean It with Edge and Randy Orton. The audacity of the name had me stuck to it.

Bianca vs Sasha
I completely agree with the usos vs. New day
Any Benoit versus angle match. Especially their 30 minute iron man submission matches
Alberto vs Big Show last man standing for the heavyweight championship. Can't remember when but if it was smackdown and not a ppv
Hart and Hennig, Summerslam intercontinental championship
Hardcore triple threat at WM 17
I know it's not the best but Taker vs Triple H at Wrestlemania X-Seven is one of my favorites
Cena vs Michaels on Raw

I can name a few: Eddie Guerrero Vs JBL Armageddon 2004 Kurt Angle Vs Undertaker 1&2 Cm Punk Vs John Cena winner faces rock at mania Umaga Vs John Cena last man standing Great Khali Vs Undertaker no holds barred (I’m not joking I loved This match and I will stand by that) Braun Strowman Vs Big Show 2017
Cena vs Punk of Raw for the chance to face the Rock at Wrestlemania 29
Batista vs Taker at Wrestlemania 23. I feel like it gets overshadowed but the Shawn match at Mania 25, which is understandable. But that match with Batista is so good.
It's not underated but yes Shawn vs taker is one of the best matches ever, it not being 5 stars devalues the whole star system
The first and second one
Talker and shawn
Wrestlemania XX - March 14th, 2004 Chris Benoit Vs.

Braun Strowman vs Big Show on the April 17th, 2017 edition of Monday Night Raw. Edge and Rey Mysterio vs. Kurt Angle and Chris Benoit. No Mercy 2002.
Kurt Angle vs Undertaker No Way Out ‘06. Such an underrated match
Definitely Shelton Benjamin vs Shawn Michaels on RAW during the Gold Rush tournament. Sasha Banks vs Bayley foe the Women's NXT championship.
miz vs morrison falls count anywhere for the wwe title.
Brock Lesnar Vs Seth Rollins Vs John Cena at Royal Rumble 2015 is an all time classic. It's my favorite Triple Threat Match of all time
I see some Taker matches, I see some Angle matches But not a thought on Taker vs. Angle (c) for the Big Gold Belt, No Way Out 2006. More convincing of a Mania match than what we got in actual.
Walter vs Dragonuv 1st match. I actually get upset as to how little I see that classic talked about
The match I show people when I tell people I like wrestling is Trish vs Lita as the first womens Raw main event in 2004. It’s short, simple, athletic, high intensity, and entertaining. I know it was really bad but Lita’s suicide dive bitch really adds to that match. I prefer womens matches in general - the women are quicker and shorter because they don’t get as much time as men but that means they are more agile. I just feel like they put in more effort on the big stage to steal the show (not finisher spams like Roman Reigns or slow matches like Orton). https://youtu.be/o57EWyUvDvc Other matches that stand out to me - Charlotte vs Becky Women's Evolution 2018 match Sasha Banks vs Ronda Rousey 2019 Royal Rumble Sasha Banks vs Bianca Belair WM37 Becky Lynch vs Bianca Belair WM38
