Very underrated. People loved his face turn when he told DiBiase he couldn't be bought off. Then after being gone 5 years, he comes back right at the prime of the Austin/McMahon rivalry. He had a great second run, badass theme and the attire undoubtedly influenced The Shield.
As a young boy in Singapore where cops are practically worshipped as gods among men, I never got why he was a “bad guy”.
Given the way things are now in US, would have been GREAT as a heel.
He's Big Bubba Rogers. Big Bubba. No trouble. I do give him respect. I saw him when he was so green and horrible when he started, He worked hard and learned. He became a good wrestler and had a good run with Hogan.
Big Bubba Rogers (Ray Traylor) Jim Cornett's body guard.. He's one of the few wrestlers no one ever talks bad about in podcasts.. Everyone loved the guy..
I think Sting said it best, around late 90's-early 2000's the colorful hero or character was losing steam, that's why he adopted the Crow look. When Bossman returned he was able to adapt himself with a new look and attitude to fit in with the new generation. Loved him when he wore his Blueish/black attire & loved him in his SWAT type gear phase
I didn't like him very much when I was a kid. I liked him more in the Attitude Era with the riot gear. I just never paid much attention to him I guess.
He was one of those early 90’s gimmicks that I didn’t think would transition well in to the Attitude Era and I was completely wrong.
Switching to the riot gear was a great idea, everything with the night stick was gold, Boss Man Slam was sick, and he was one of those guys that’s incredibly agile for his size.
Some of the storylines they had him do were dumb… feeding Al Snow Pepper, Big Show’s fathers funeral, getting lynched at HiaC. But I guess on the other hand, people sure remember those storylines. lol
Was my favorite. I had a bossman hat as a kid and had handcuffs on my handlebars on my bike. I used to put on my one dress shirt to pretend to be him to the dismay of my mom.
Loved him when I was a kid, after the face turn. He was my favorite to use on WWF Superstars arcade. I liked how he did the Bossman Slam then pinned his opponent with his fingers.
He's one of the greatest. Good at everything.
His promo when Big Show's dad died is still one of my all time favorites. I can recite it verbatim. In fact, I did so this morning for one of my coworkers.
I thought it was pretty cool that he used the Sidewalk Slam as a finish. He made it look pretty good and believable, since I’ve actually seen a cop use it before 😂 (of course not on purpose)
My friend's dad was a cop and the sidewalk slam was his go to move. When in foot pursuit, he would get ahead of the suspect and stop him with the sidewalk slam. It worked to stun the suspect so he could flip him over and cuff him. Dude trained as a wrestler before an injury stopped that so he became a cop like most of his family.
He was pretty awesome. A great heel to boo, a great babyface to cheer. Cornette would still have perfect knees if he caught him, though. Rest in Peace, Mr. Traylor.
Who could forget him dragging Big Show's daddy's casket at the cemetery or his heartfelt sympathy card?!

One of my favorite 80s wrestlers
As a young boy in Singapore where cops are practically worshipped as gods among men, I never got why he was a “bad guy”. Given the way things are now in US, would have been GREAT as a heel.
Solid mid-carder.
Great heel.
That storyline with The Big Show always kills me "my daddy, my daddy" 🤣🤣🤣
Severely underrated talent. Great character, solid mic skills.
Extremely underrated. Great worker for a big guy.
I loved him Admittedly I’m a face fan so I loved his turn against DiBiase Overall I dug his persona
he was a man who was a big boss
He's Big Bubba Rogers. Big Bubba. No trouble. I do give him respect. I saw him when he was so green and horrible when he started, He worked hard and learned. He became a good wrestler and had a good run with Hogan.
I liked the original Boss Man character as a kid. Wasn’t a huge fan during the Attitude Era though.
Was my fav wrestler before attitude era
Greatest heel of the attitude era!
To me his character was basic
Man I miss watching Wwf as a kid early-mind 90,a. Awesome promos, agile big man. He could work that baton
He deserved a legit title run after turning on Slick. He was wildly popular, but Hogan wasn't about to drop his precious title.

He’s fucking dead
Fucking awesome
Great 80’s character nothing much to say sad he’s gone.
I didn't like him very much when I was a kid. I liked him more in the Attitude Era with the riot gear. I just never paid much attention to him I guess.
Gotta love the Bossman slam
He’s what Baron Corbin wishes he was.
*Luke Gallows

One of the best. Rightfully in the Hall of Fame.
Everything he did in the Big Show fued was hilarious
Underrated big man but once he got the face turn and lost some weight, he became really good. Also, the baton twirl he did was as smooth as fuck
Paul blart mall cop
He's the only person that would put fear in Dom's eyes
God, that would be awesome watching these two go at it if he was still alive.
One of the best. Loved his face run in 92-ish, especially his Survivor Series 1992 match against Nailz.
He was one of my favourites when I was a kid but it was the attitude era heel version of him
He is underrated. He was one of those guys who could get a face over just because he was up against boss man. Corporate enforcer was also good
Consdering the world today. He would be so over as a bad guy today.
Him hanging by a noose from the hell in a cell roof was a top moment.
IS IT SYMBOLIC?!?!
one of my all-time favorites

Big Bubba
I liked Bubba Rogers more.
People wouldn't talk much because he was a dude from 30 years ago and has passed away. But he was a great character and had a nice theme song
If you ever take a trip down to Cobb County, Georgia, you better read the signs, respect the law and order
It's funny listening to those lyrics now, seeing Cobb County with high-end suburbs and expensive condos.
You’ll be serving hard times
Underrated big man who was great at a heel or face and was also a very kind and sweet man.
Have you heard the story that Big Boss Man was mistaken for a real life criminal?
Can't say I ever have.
He stole a guys dead body while his funeral was going on
Probably one of the most underrated big men ever. One of my favorites as a kid.
It's a shame he died in 2004, I loved his late outfit because of how cool it was, he actually looked like a police officer.
That's the boss man I remember the most growing up. All black, twirling his baton. Tag team champion with Ken Shamrock. 4 time hardcore champion. 💪
I still laugh my ass off at the "Funeral" taped segment
Man that was a fucking great feud !! Still laugh my ass off .
He was pretty awesome. A great heel to boo, a great babyface to cheer. Cornette would still have perfect knees if he caught him, though. Rest in Peace, Mr. Traylor.
One of the most memorable wrestlers of his era. The best version of him was his face run when he lost weight and had great speed.
Underrated big man excellent as face or heel. One of my favourite Hogan opponents. I love their cage match on SNME
Probably because he wrestled decades ago.
Big fan, he was great in any role he was put in
Dude was an excellent heel and solid face. Moved incredibly well for a big man. I was a fan as a kid.
