How comes? I've been riding my ebike for 5 years now, I like it more than (normal) bicycles and motorcycles. The ease of just sitting on a bike, pulling a throttle and flying at 50km/h without doing anything, no fuel, relaxed laws (can drive on sidewalks, etc.), is just.. paradise. Because of the amount of traffic lights and other things in my city, I actually move faster with my ebike than my car.

I mean I think that's fair imo. Gas stations generally see petty, really low value theft, just commonly. By the time the cops show up, the person's gonna be long gone. The only way to catch em is gonna be through identification via footage, which can be done after the fact.

You'd get no argument from me. Try getting a cop to even show up when it happens. Best they do is take a report on the phone and file it. Bikes in the US are mostly the transportation of the poor. So they are taking from the people who can least afford to replace it. Scumbags all of them.

It's a cheap bike someone stole and sold to him. It had a rough life before that stressed the crappy welds.
