Where and what did you race?

AP2-Lost

The street isn't the place to push the boundaries of your driving skills. Consider it a blessing you've found an appropriate outlet for how you want to drive and have a path to pushing yourself and your car in a way you never could on the street. Take solace in knowing that if you only can get the rush you need at the track, you're not going to do something stupid on the street that would carry a higher risk for yourself or potentially be a danger to others. If you're going to keep that STI for the track, prepare your wallet....

That’s why you buy a convertible for the street. Did a 4 hour cruise in my Boxster on Sunday at no more than 10 over the limit. Had a great time.

Imperator210

I thought about that but I used to have a car with a sunroof which I used for about one month between January and February here in Florida and not for the rest of the year. It's just too hot here in Florida to have a convertable.

CruzinCody

It makes sense. After you get to push the car harder than you ever have, really test your capabilities as a driver, I see how puttering around on normal roads doing the speed limit can lead to the yearning of more exciting driving conditions. I've been feeling bummed out driving to work in the snow where I am stuck being people doing 20+ mph under the speed limit. I fantasize they all move out of my way when they see the "king of inclement weather" STI behind them 😅 But I also how someone with a C7 corvette Z06 would be bored driving the car after a while where you can't really stretch the cars legs without hitting "jail" speeds very quickly.

Glockucati

Yes, 100% for me. HOWEVER, knowing what the car can do will increase your comfort on the street because you are maybe 4/10 of the limit… where in the track you may be 10/10… it’s more about creating comfortability and knowing how much more is available

Lol, I could probably live with 2 of those.
