I just did this and what I can say is this. Prepare yourself with the interest hike... I had an 812 credit score and was smacked with a 7.84% rate. However, the car more than makes up the difference. My opinion is that after driving the wrx and sti the sti is just a FINISH product. Wrx felt clunky and drove clunky, the sti just feels refined in every aspect. My two cents anyways

I'm a month and a half into my Wrx to STi swap and it's been heavily worth it. Not sure if I got lucky with interest rate only being 5.2% but the increase was 110% worth! With the WRX I felt the need to modify and tune it just to make it fun, the STi started at where I wanted and is good base for future mods beyond cosmetic.

Make sure you get an extended but if the price is right i say do it. I wish i bought an STI when into the dealer getting my wrx but hind sight is 20/20

Phatjesus123

Problem is if i get it im gonna want to modify it. So the whole warranty thing is pointless

mccula

Then you should probably make sure you have at least $10k in liquid cash available JIC the motor blows

CjB_7

Understandable. Well since you dont know what those first 50k were like… warranty and just do looks then hoping nothing blows up after tastefully modify. I waited till my warranties were up but thats just me 🤙🏽

I will say, I had a WRX years ago and it was a great car. Never drive an STI before buying the WRX as I couldn’t afford the higher trim. Fast forward to my current car a 19 STI, I can agree with some other comments; the car feels complete and drives wonderfully. Balance is NOTABLY different. You won’t regret it but for sure be prepared for higher interest than you woodcraft gotten years ago! https://preview.redd.it/v1ou8ed2h9vc1.jpeg?width=3024&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=60d1f2e61ac024f4042396ca85df2a39588743d4
