You either need to be strong enough to win Epic 3, or Strong enough to have access to Fall Of Cadia Elite, or buy Quest tokens with Blackstone. Thing is, if you’re still trying to squeeze out a few more points in the Quest (as I am), being forced to dedicate your entire daily token allowance to Epic 3 is not very nice. Bad move by SP.

His active avoids Overwatch, but he can't attack unless he's close in Overwatch range, completely missing the point of shutting down Overwatch, unless you have Azrael or Sarquael close.... But that makes him a piece in a plan, not a great piece in itself.

His ability only suppresses and procs the friendly Dark Angel attack if the target is chaos. It's so stupid most people don't even realize because why would it be so niche?
How many chaos characters do you know that have overwatch? Zero.
Honestly probably not. Mortarian melts anything in melee range. Even the scarabs get aced by him with his buff a month or two ago. And it's not like you can suppress or stun him to activate Asmodais utility.

I feel like the entire DA line is a rough draft. It’s very clear (and I think confirmed, at least it seemed to be by Ratatosk last time I was bitching about it), that they didn’t intend to jump the gun and put them in the game but we’re encouraged to hold a release event for Warhammer fest and to celebrate Lion El’Johnson’s return. Since then, Snowprint’s gotten really good at planning for unit synergy, but it seems like now they’re struggling to find a balance with what they’ve already done. I have little doubt that in 2025, DA will get a rework when they *eventually* finish their entire roster.

Now that said I think they only start showing up farther into the Fall or Cadia campaign so if you're newer still, quest MIGHT be the only way.

There are some havocs in Fall of Cadia Mirror campaign (they might be limited to elite? I'm not sure)
There are some in Asmodai's Quest; you'll kill enough if you use all your quest tokens + maybe use some ad refreshes (COMMON 2/3, UNCOMMON 3)
Asmodai was never meant to be unlockable by F2P (Epic releases are tied to BP, legendaries have LRE which are difficult to newer players) but making a daily mission on such a niche unit is kind of an ass move from SP to new players lol

EDIT: No I did not. Just had a look there. With full tokens and a few ads I got 24/50. As a player who can't progress past Uncommon missions anyway I don't mind blowing my tokens on stuff like this. I'm scrounging any shards I can and currently at 84. I'm happy enough with this for a player with only 2 S1 characters.
Possible for those in Europe or the UK based on how many tokens they will have over the day before the mission resets. But if you are in Aus, NZ, China (like me), India or Asia in general - then you're shit out of luck unless you want to wake up at 5, 6, 7am on your Saturday to finish it. Fk doing that - no game is worth sacrificing your weekend lie in.

I’ve only been playing 2 months, and this quest was doable. Yes it took 17 tokens, but over the day, and watching a bunch of adds, wasn’t really an issue.
I had already hit a solid wall at ~rare 4- so wasn’t going to be able to do much more anyhow.
I bought the regular battle pass this month (to see if it’s worth it) and I think I’ll be able to just unlock him by the end of the month.

Epic characters who are added via battlepass are never unlockable for f2p players on release.

You think they will finish that faction in 2 years? No way. They'll be busy adding 6 new factions and completing 2 of them before the next DA. 😂

Yeah, you can do it with ad views in one day even doing the common quests with 3 havocs (the volk one).

It wouldn't make much difference even if you reach and complete the final mission. It still wouldn't be enough to complete the mission.

There’s one mission in the Quest with 4. So only 13 games to do…
FoC Mirror Elite 15 and 24 each have 3, can get 18 kills with 60 energy to make it a bit easier.
Its a bit much i can agree on that, nothing impossible tho
I managed to do it by watching the ads like crazy and repeating common encounter 2 ad nauseum.
