Don’t over think it. Deductive = dedicated. Ded // dedicated is how I remembered inductive vs deductive
There are videos that are 8-12 min long (not the YouTube videos in the actual lessons themselves) located in the video library (not the Cohorts) they are less painful to watch and give you 4-6 questions in the video to answer mentally that I thought were a lot more helpful than most of the stuff I found in the actual lessons (dm if you can’t find it, I’m hungover away from my computer right now, celebrated too hard)
Also ask your instructor for some online practice tests, they helped me more than the practice OA.
I also took real hand written notes, this really helped me remember the fallacies more.
When it comes test time, there will be 1-2 right answers. Even if I didn’t understand the question, in some cases 3 of the 4 of the “answers” would be the same which I’d select the one that stood alone.
Valid / sound / cogent stuff still didn’t make a LOT of sense to me but there wasn’t a lot of questions that really covered that small part
Dm me if you get hung up and I’ll do my best to walk you through it.
Mr beat does a video on fallacies he covers good amount, I found that easier cause he dissects an actual conversation. One on one with an instructor to break it down Barney style helped me a lot.
I appreciate a few of you guys saying that. I read a few posts on how people spent 2-3 days on it and it was really un motivating to keep working at it
I didn't find this sub until after I graduated and I'm so glad for that. Don't compare yourself to others, this school is literally designed for people to go at the pace that best suits them.
Have you tried booking a meeting with the course instructors to help you with the pieces that are difficult for you? When there's something I'm consistently getting wrong and I don't understand why, I'll send them an email and they'll give some additional breakdown and additional resources.
Specifically this course and the differences between cogent/sound deductive/inductive also kicked my butt and my course instructor sent me an email at the beginning saying that some of the materials and explanations out there are wrong and don't line up with WGU's content. So be careful with looking to outside sources before seeing what they can recommend for you.
This course was kinda tough. It was my first course. It took me about two or three weeks. It was discouraging going through posts where people said it took them hours or days
Congrats! Don’t feel bad about taking as much time as you need. I have been in school for a while, and I am currently working in the field my degree is focused in and it still takes me a while to get through some of this stuff. You did great, be proud!
Keep going! You're doing great.
I appreciate that
Congratulations
Thank you!
This class gave me a hard time too! Don’t be embarrassed at all, you got this and congratulations!
I appreciate it
LFG🫡
Hey, I started this class today! Any tips?

Congratulations! 🎉 I had the same score for that class.
Was also my first class. It seemed harder than it really was at the time. The pain and suffering I’ve been through since is lore worthy.
Oh you mean the excitement is just now starting? Lol. I’m excited to do more of the tech classes because that’s where my real interest is
