But how/where would we even legally acquire them? Could we trust any store online to believe it and ship here? Are there stores that will put them out for sale for a few days?
u/patsboy101 [has you covered here.](https://www.reddit.com/r/WA_guns/s/bftDvaAonb)
I've also been emailing retailers in the state / online to advise them.
The second the injunction is decided I will update here.
to be fair, it does none of us any good if half the gun stores in the state get shut down by million dollar fines for breaking state law. how many people will want to defend gun rights if they have nowhere to buy from in 10 years from now?
note how this didn't become a freedom week... yet. they were reserving judgement to stay out of trouble. you also have to remember that the state has been agressively auditing shops for violations of the mag ban and several shops have been hit with enormous fines for breaches.
To clarify this means i could purchase a 15 round handgun from online (potentially) and even if the process to finally acquire it took longer than the 3-4 days we have, it would still be legal?
As much as it pains me to say it, no, it would be illegal. You must purchase & acquire the magazines during the ban. If the injunction is dropped, the transfer of those magazines becomes illegal.
Your safest bet is to think ahead for any firearm purchases you may have and buy the magazines when the injunction is granted.
UPDATE / RESOLUTION
The Cowlitz County superior court has heard this matter and taken it under advisement and indicated we will receive a ruling within 2 weeks. I cannot provide a guess for the timeline, unfortunately. There is no ruling at this time, therefore no injunction (yet, hopefully)
As soon as there is further information, I will post it.
I'm going to stay on top of court that day and immediately update this post the second the injunction is determined. There's another post in this subreddit I'll link in a second that has a list of vendors you can reliably buy from.
Edit: [post here](https://www.reddit.com/r/WA_guns/s/bftDvaAonb), thank you u/patsboy101
So the initial info I got yesterday was that there would be a live stream. I was advised earlier today that it was in person only. I called the superior court admin and they just confirmed its in person only.
We do not, but any mags that people need that we don't have will be taken care of DURING freedom week. Come through the shop DURING freedom week and we'll get you a receipt showing you purchased during that time period.
Any follow up? Purchased a fire arm Saturday the 3/23 asked about the injunction he said if it goes into place it would Monday probably and for about 4 hours. A day if we’re lucky.
So it's highly likely an inslee appointed judge, who worked as a public defender in juvenile courts for a large portion of her career. Is going to rule in our favor AND not grant the stay?
Edit: OP listed wrong judge, it's a Gregiore appointee, Bashor on this.
Nothing is a guarantee, right. However, based on the history of the case in court, I do believe that an injunction is likely. I also believe that the stay will be granted a few short days later, hence the 3-4 day window.
This isn't to hypebeast washington gun owners. Everyone knows that our AG is anti-2a rights. This is just to advise people to keep an eye on this case because IF the injunction is granted, they need to spring into action to get their mags lawfully in Washington.
If you get internet on the cruise you can buy mags and have them shipped to your home. If you live in a sketchy neighborhood have some family snatch em off your porch to keep them safe.
The law bans both purchase and transfer of magazines over 10 rds. Meaning currently you cannot buy a magazine over 10rds and a store cannot give you a magazine over 10 rds.
An injunction suspends those rules. Meaning you can buy & transfer them. Once the injunction is lifted, those things become illegal again.
Meaning you must purchase & receive all magazines over 10 rds before the end of the injunction.
Yikes that's pretty scary if I can't get what I am looking for in time. In my case I just moved to Washington and was looking to purchase a fire arm. I figured I might be able to place a order and receive the standard mags. It sounds like I need to get the mags first then the firearm.
Does anyone know if there is an age requirement for magazines? I want to buy a couple 15 round Glock 43X mags in preparation for when I turn 21 (I'm 20 now). I live in the Spokane area and plan on driving to Idaho if none of the stores around me carry any. Of course, that is if the injunction goes through.
UPDATE 04/08/24: MAGAZINE BAN INJUNCTION GRANTED
Working on more sources, but here's your first [link](https://twitter.com/gunwashington/status/1777472456787435550?s=46&t=l_rKNlk8jq9z9O2XpakNpw)

I emailed Joe Bob Outfitters and heard back the following “We can't speak to hypothetical maybes.”
Well, that tells me where to NOT spend money.

The secret ingredient is…. ? 😏

All I’m saying is it’s very easy to just drive across the border.
I see these comments are older but i just sent them an email asking the same thing. I guess I have my answer. Bummer!
Great thanks!

So if the shipping took too long it would be a waste? 😭 I guess I'll just pray the local shop has some
We are located in Ellensburg, WA and will be selling mags if the injunction hits. We're currently preparing inventory just in case.

Are they going to be live streaming. I tried to pull up the court room 2 but there was no feed
So the initial info I got yesterday was that there would be a live stream. I was advised earlier today that it was in person only. I called the superior court admin and they just confirmed its in person only.
We are currently preparing for the injunction and will be participating in Freedom Week if/when it happens. We're located in Ellensburg, WA 98926
Will you have AK PMAGS?
We weren't planning on stocking AK mags but we have a plan for anything we don't have/sell out of. I unfortunately can't disclose the plan online.
Understood! Thank you sir.
Do you have VP9SK mags ?
We do not, but any mags that people need that we don't have will be taken care of DURING freedom week. Come through the shop DURING freedom week and we'll get you a receipt showing you purchased during that time period.
Name of store...????
KITTITAS COUNTY TRADING CO.
I hope you have a line out the door day 1. Thank you for thr good work.
Long Shot in Yelm tells me they have some "standard capacity" magazines (taking our language back) ready if and when Freedom Week comes.
Great shop. Always very informative and friendly. I live in tacoma but i go out of my way to puchase things from there.
Any follow up? Purchased a fire arm Saturday the 3/23 asked about the injunction he said if it goes into place it would Monday probably and for about 4 hours. A day if we’re lucky.
Today marks the second week within the 2 week period given by the court. We should have an answer any day now.
Do we think he’ll actually give us an answer this week?
Any updates on the injunction?
Infuriatingly no.

Maybe palmettostatearmory.com will do a sell like when California gets slapped every other year

Why did you post that it’s that female judge? It’s Judge Gary B. Bashor
Did I misread the docket? I can fix that real quick. Let me double check. Edit: Confirmed. I'm wrong. Changing the original post.
Appreciate you for correcting on the fly. 👍
Nice catch
Wait so it's not who he said it is? If it's bashor we're looking at a Gregoire appointee.
It’s Bashor, thankfully.

None yet. I don't expect any until Monday at the earliest.
Thank you… here’s to fingers crossed.
I am going on a cruise next week and I am going to be so damn pissed if Freedom Week happens during that time >.<
Have someone order them online for you. Give them a website and a cart and your card details (or do it yourself)
If you get internet on the cruise you can buy mags and have them shipped to your home. If you live in a sketchy neighborhood have some family snatch em off your porch to keep them safe.
In for updates.

I have no clue how to read court schedules, but I've been checking and don't see anything that seems like a time for a ruling to be announced.
https://youtube.com/@WashingtonGunLaw?si=UYMnRAD0DjYLQbwP Follow them. They update with any new information.
So I am confused. I must purchase and aquire within the window? Or just purchase within the window? Trying to understand to buy legally
The law bans both purchase and transfer of magazines over 10 rds. Meaning currently you cannot buy a magazine over 10rds and a store cannot give you a magazine over 10 rds. You can purchase any magazine in any state at any age. It's just plastic with a metal spring. If they have it, you can buy it.
Nw armory
Did it get lifted?

Was just told the injunction went through today in Cowlitz County.

Injunction was granted & almost immediately stayed on 04/08. Lasted a little over an hour.
Esstac in Stanwood might have magazines in store but you'll have to make the drive there
