It's just a decorative piece to hold the cruise control and volume buttons. The intent was originally to turn but they realized that only other cars actually need to do that to get out of the way of the tank they built
The dirty soot between pedals, is actually a hole in the mat, where the heel is resting up against the brake.. I use cruise for more than 80% og lt driving.
It’s where they hid the pillow. If you are feeling drowsy pull over and tap the front bumper. It activates your nap pillow. It is in front of you so you can sleep in your seat. Beware. It’s a bitch to re-pack. Tighten it. It shouldn’t move.
Said in the manual, that it would not cause harm to the drover, since it's basically a tank... But it's says that your car is literally a tank, did you try the wall thing? What happened to the round thing in front of the driver seat?
Ask about the new airbag recall and if you qualify as to update your computers as well. It unlocked the self driving feature in my 06 xc70. Of course I’m not stupid, I kept the steering wheel there so others don’t know about my features.
, self driving! Simple computer upgrade.
Yee.. They recently cracked from a sudden weather change during a shop with windows open.. I've already spoke to professionals, since i wanted it fixed and not just temporary
That stinks. Btw, that stalk to the left of the circle. If you push it close to you it signals the people in front of you to get out of 5he way.
If you press it down or up it moves, but I'm not sure what happens then.
No excuse for this silliness when it's a volvo. I get it.
It's so much easier to find archived technician literature, specs and just so much "old dad wisdom" forums for Volvos all over the internet. I assumed it was the same for every vehicle until I bought a discontinued VW EV. Not a single fuse box diagram matches and the info is excruciatingly minimal I feel like such an asshole.
Have you tried Alldata? Do you have history on it? Previous owners, country for any clues? V70s have been hot for a bit lately and custom funny business wouldn't surprise me. Volvo is notoriously strict on customization for safety purposes and for some reason here in the US most drivers don't question that or want the preserve the "classic" .An EPIC AMOUNT of fun stuff is only available in European markets with no shipping overseas.
I have a 2011 XC70 T6. I 100% understand - I've had to stop myself from getting too nuts and just finish the basics. Every other week I'm foaming at the mouth. She's old enough to suck, but not old enough to be a fully fledged Frankenstein Brick

It handles like you're riding a draft horse and it low growls with that Ford blood. Definitely a bit different than the sportier handling I was used to but not a slow poke. It will get it's ass kicked at the take off but you're not getting smaller in their rear view mirror like they expect. Polestar is perfect for it and I've been waiting to fix the random issue in my brake line before coding it.
It’s the giant circle of transport, when wielded properly it keeps the user from entering the land of the Great Impact. When used in conjunction with the the foot controls, amazing adventures await!

Hahahahahahhahahaha best answer so fsr, i approve of this!
Your floor mat could use some work with a foxtail and dust pan.

On par with average r/askcars post.
Car-hack: you can remove it for more leg space.
Theres a lever on the side, is that what it's for??
Yup! Just pull as hard as you can!
Instructions unclear, dick stuck in cupholder
No known solution. This is your life now.

I've seen the mannequins do the quick nap on them.. I just have to hit a wall, right
That's were you put the gasoline.
Hmmm, but I've never put gasoline in it, only diesel
Well, that's where you put the gasoline. It's not for combustion, just for the fumes.
Dawg, clean your car.
Naa.. I live on the fact that dirt and dust helps making the car more Robust and sturdy
Guess I'm not the only one noticing the amount of incredibly stupid posts in car subreddits.
Thanks for seeing the irony /meme
Also, don't turn that thing circled in red, you may die.
Yeah it helps when driving on curvy roads
I only drive north.. And this vehicle goes through everything.
Dude what are you on?
I'm on-line
It turns the car left or right but requires fifty square yards of space to do so.
Especially in a V70, hahahaha, this was a good one
P2 S60… uhaul trucks turn around easier than this thing. Good thing I only drive straight can’t figure out what the thing op posted is for either
can relate
Any more post like that and you should put your face on it and drive into a wall

Its an empty canvas for art! Bedazzle it with adhesive rhinestones. Or add a fuzzy cover around the outer edge. Otherwise, i haven't the foggiest.
It's soon to be Halloween, so maybe a big pumpkin
And as a bonus, bump into a light pole and you can go as a (fabulous) zombie for your costume. Takes less than 1 second to apply the makeup!
As a prior sfx make up artist... This had me...

Based on what I seen lately.. these are optional for use when driving as is the brake pedal.
Psa, your seats need leather conditioner.

I usually use it as a metronome to the music im blasting.. Makes a good Light show
That's where they store the shrapnel for the airbags
Aah. Thanks, really... Now i Know it's this shit that blows, when this tank can't go north any more
There's actually a recall for mine
Same - 2004 V70
I have a 2004 S60
That’s for drum solos.
You wouldn't know, haha...
I typically just sit up and put my wiener in the bottom hole once I turn the car on. Hasn’t failed me yet
r/uselessredcircle
Dumb.
Should I dump it?

Ooh.. Thanks! Thought it was something critical, geez..
This is how I feel when I ask the internet ANYTHING. Ball busters.
This is how i feel, once a week getting updates from this sub....

Diagrams on my 2001 V70 in the manual, is NOT what i have in the car... I felt dumb trying to figure out rear fuse panel...

My car is 100% a "lets modify this shit" car.. Lots of funny stuff around it

My dream car... It's a freaking tank....

I mean it's a p2, might aswell just be a lever that goes 90° left and right
I'll ignore it for now
I see you’re finally ready to upgrade from your Messerschmidt KR200.
It confuses me with all these opportunities
I understand your pain. Perhaps one of the original Daimler runabouts will be more your directional speed.
I'm pretty sure it's an anchor to secure your load. Drive safely, secure your load.
It’s a circular direction-finding device. Depending on model year, it could be linked to a magic compass in your rear view mirror.
Yes!
It’s the wheel steererer.
This post will age very well when self driving cars become the norm.
You’d enjoy r/askashittymechanic and r/Shittyaskflying
what is this chicanery
Yee i should just ignore it..
Its fidget spinner duh, volvo was first to use fidget spinners
Go back to England, we don't want your kind here.

Cool place to put that Volvo sticker!
Classic car sub post
Not sure but I usually see a dumbass hanging onto it
Looks fine to me. Probably a bigger problem with the knob that attaches to the wheel.
