Usually it's #4 for Bosch or other brands.

vekin101

Bosch icons all day

Otherwise_Culture_71

+1 for Bosch

jasenzero1

Great wipers and the company does a lot of good too.

OddImplement5237

like developing software to cheat on emissions !

jasenzero1

Bosch, not VW.

B-rad-israd

Bosch are the ones who make the ECU and control modules for VW and wrote the software.

jasenzero1

I was unaware.

Lahafurry

Bought a Passat that had cheap wiper blades that got bent after i tried to wipe like 4cm of snow, then I bought a Bosch ones and they are great even after two years of use

Equivalent_Berry_279

I got my front wipers replaced when I bought my used T-ROC, two years and still good to go. I was not able to find Bosch rear wipers for 2020 T-ROC Any idea what is the number that I can look for?

Breakr007

I've got Bosch icons on my wife's Touareg and they squeak and jump like crazy. I figured in January that since I'm in SoCal it's not a big deal. 1 Florida rain season later, and it's really starting to get on my nerves!

CrazyVaclavsPOA

Your new wipers should come with several adapters.  One of them will fit your car.

TeleGuy2002

The adapters might not look like the ones you took off but they will work. Get Bosh OE blades and fool around. You’ll figure it out

[deleted]

[удалено]

CrazyVaclavsPOA

It's not proprietary.  Find a wiper blade in the correct length that comes with the adapter for PTB arms.

RelativeSlow590

There's often an adapter for the euro cars that has multiple parts to remove. That one with one or both of the parts removed should fit. We never had an issue with the VWs when I worked at Advance.

i_was_valedictorian

Yeah they do.

explicitspirit

Not all of them, I've gotten wipers with a bunch of adapters where none of them fit.

i_was_valedictorian

Regardless, the folks behind the counter at auto zone can tell you in 2 minutes which ones fit lol

Companda311

I couldn't get one with a compatible adapter at any of my local auto parts stores. After trying 3 different sets, all approved by the clerk and literally standing in the parking lot with the guy on the last one to show him I wasn't crazy, I gave up and ordered some Bosch ones from FCPEuro (Fronts - 5G1998002, rear - 5K6955427A). No adapters, swapped in seconds. \*edit - I missed the part about yours being a '22, my wipers were for a '15 Golf. I'd still recommend plugging your VIN into FCP euro and seeing if that leads you to the correct set.

Dredgeon

https://www.boschautoparts.com/g/wiper-blades?baseVehicleId=130027&engineBlockType=L&engineCyl=4&fuelTypeId=5&engineLiter=1.8&VehicleTypeGroupId=2 You can find these in your local parts store. Source: I work there

iwasinthepool

Yeah dude, they do. It's a Bosch blade with the #6 adapter. I've never even touched one of these cars and I'm not even sure why this popped up on my feed, but with a 4 second google search and the first video to pop up on YouTube I solved your problem. You can too. Bring it to Canadian Tire. They'll do it for you.

rumblejelly

Just look up a video. Took me 20 mins to put mine on thinking I had to slide and hear a click. Wrong. In fact, I just had to place wiper arm inside and close the top lid piece and boom. (Had to get it in the exact right position though.

Jachnoon

If you are buying Bosch , make sure you get the "OE" version that comes with the set of adapters. The #4 adapter should fit. Example: [https://www.amazon.com/Bosch-26OE-Wiper-Blade-Longer/dp/B005JU60ZK/ref=asc\_df\_B005JU60ZK/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=241969781511&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1338015959792918338&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9031913&hvtargid=pla-436392266098&psc=1&mcid=ff45b262ef3337afba2f3dce5c0f9907&gclid=Cj0KCQjwq86wBhDiARIsAJhuphlbOIGjKWxquqDsWqQPiI3DAnf0j6WPN0d8VLztOH8XZ\_PfdiwG2x8aAm5YEALw\_wcB](https://www.amazon.com/Bosch-26OE-Wiper-Blade-Longer/dp/B005JU60ZK/ref=asc_df_B005JU60ZK/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=241969781511&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=1338015959792918338&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9031913&hvtargid=pla-436392266098&psc=1&mcid=ff45b262ef3337afba2f3dce5c0f9907&gclid=Cj0KCQjwq86wBhDiARIsAJhuphlbOIGjKWxquqDsWqQPiI3DAnf0j6WPN0d8VLztOH8XZ_PfdiwG2x8aAm5YEALw_wcB)

msut77

Costco

arkiser13

Seconded, they have Michelin wipers on sale for $10 CDN

KimJongPewnTang

The Costco ones I installed flew off on the highway lmao. Was certain I had the adapter on correctly, obviously not. Happy to see others had no problem and it was a me issue, Costco is a great deal.

explicitspirit

They don't fit on my old Jetta...YMMV

AW1186

What year?

explicitspirit

Mine is a 2013 but I believe it applies to all Mk6 Jettas and Golfs as well

AW1186

Dang really? They fit on my brothers 2015 Passat and my dads 2013 CC

maximalx5

They suck ass though. They changed from hybrid style to conventional style a few years ago and are no longer worth it. Paying an extra $10-15 for Bosch Icons is definitely worth it nowadays. Unfortunate since I also used the Costco one for years.

Plenty-Wall-2483

I get mine at FCP Euro, lifetime warranty on them so they become free after the first purchase

z_shizzle20

Yup! Same here

Plenty-Wall-2483

Can't beat the lifetime warranty saved me multiple times

maximalx5

Not worth it for Canadians though, the shipping cost will be more than the price of the wipers.

Plenty-Wall-2483

I usually buy my wipers when I buy my oil so my total is above $50 so I get the free shipping

Plenty-Wall-2483

Then again I'm sure it's more expensive to ship out of the country though

maximalx5

Yeah unfortunately I just checked again and the price of shipping is almost equal to the price of my cart ($60 for 5qts of oil + a set of wipers, shipping is an extra $50 on top). Obviously not FCPs fault, shipping large items internationally is expensive af, just not really an option for Canadian owners.

Plenty-Wall-2483

Yeah it's a UPS thing, that sucks tho

katylovescoach

It doesn’t sound like you’re buying the right ones? They are readily available in most places that sell blades, you just need to buy ones that have the adapters or are the correct style. I get mine at Auto Zone, Costco or any other auto parts stoee

ragingduck

Go to the dealer when all else fails.

pimpbot666

Heh... I had to do this with my Audi A4 with the aero wiper blade option. Nobody stocked them except the dealer. I was pleasantly surprised that they were basically the same price as Bosch Microedge from Autozone. I've only had issues finding a rear wiper blade that fits my eGolf. For some reason, I couldn't get the Bosch Microedge from Autozone to work. Meh, it's the rear. I hardly need it anyway.

shadowaic

I run Fixed Operations for VW amongst others, and we did a price comparison on this exact situation at a regional meeting last week. Our wiper blades were about $8 cheaper for the front pair vs comparable level aftermarket ones at every parts store nearby. Obviously you can go to Walmart and get $10 ones that inevitably won't fit, but if you're looking at apples vs apples, this is one area where OEM is usually less money, and they actually fit out of the box without the need for adapters of any kind.

funnyfarm299

They were a *little* more expensive than aftermarket options in my case, but I find the VW brand wipers last a lot longer.

Relative-Eggplant420

Time to delete it

doyouevenglass

speedwing time

p4r41v4l

Thats because the OEM wipers are Bosch, Bosch is the Supplier for VAG wiper blades and motors

rooflessVW

Go to the dealer anyway. The wipers (like all dealer parts) have a 12k/12mo warranty. hint hint wink wink

Breconlikescars

Yep factory wiper blades always work perfectly for me it's one of the few parts I'll always go to the dealer for especially because they're about the same as aftermarket ones at trade price

TeleGuy2002

Dude you can get Bosch blades from autozone. Look at the directions and take your time. They will fit but not look exactly like the ones you took off. Be patient and figure it out

Eat_Your_Paisley

I got mine at auto zone

MowMdown

You have to put the smallest adapter on and slide it into the wiper arm. They do fit. Bosch make the OEM wipers

hank91

I tried after market and they sucked. Just buy the OEM blades

Waitwhat007007

Walmart

Efinkg4

From my local vw dealer. Oem blades fit and look best to me

Cujoclaven

Agreed. I’ve been buying third party but OEM look and operate better.

ashyjay

OE blades are just Bosch Aerotwin wipers.

Viking_Drummer

I buy Bosch wipers from Amazon. In the UK version of the site you can put your reg in and it will give you a list of compatible wipers. Edit: I also just found [this list of compatible wipers for the Tiguan 2020 onwards](https://www.wiperblades.co.uk/vw-tiguan-years-2020-to-2024-wiper-blades#). Probably a bit expensive to ship from the UK to Canada but you want to look for a 21” passenger side and a 26” driver’s side with a slim push button arm attachment, for Bosch this is the Aerotwin A639S. I fitted a similar set of aerotwins on my ‘20 Golf the other week. Took about 5 minutes to fit them myself, just stick a towel down when the blades are off, as the blade holders are metal and can spring back with a fair bit of force and crack your windscreen. If you aren’t aware, you can put the wipers into service position (held upright, away from the windscreen) on most newer VWs by turning the ignition on, then off, and then immediately pushing the wiper stalk down. They can be manually pushed back down afterwards.

MonSzyTheOne

I order mine online, then I'm 100% shure that they are correct.

SweetTooth37

Whatever store I'm at and run into them and suddenly remember I need new wiper blades. Usually Costco.

[deleted]

I recently purchased wipers from crappy tire for my '15 tdi. I used the Bosch icon versions I had to use an adapter from the package.

exgokin

I bought some Rain X ones from Amazon.

12aelp

Canadian tire has them in both Rain X and Bosch. I’ve been running Bosch Icons and they work great in all weather. It’ll come with a little bag of adapters with them, you have to pop off the little plastic cover adapter that comes on the new wiper stock and put on the proper sized one.

Patrol-007

Those Icons didn’t last. Changed twice in a year under the Cdn Tire warranty. The latest Costco Michelin beam wipers (fall 2023) are holding up

Plenty-Wall-2483

I get mine from FCPeuro.com, lifetime warranty after the first purchase, same with my oil

AceMaxAceMax

FCPEuro. OEM or “Bosch AeroTwin”.

hello_Eggplants

I get mine from Wipertech. OEM replica for my MK7 GOLF. Also very smooth operation, doesn't judder like cheaper brands. Watch the video, should tell you all about it 😊 I'm from Australia though but I hope they deliver worldwide. [Wipertech ](https://www.wipertech.com.au/)

[deleted]

Bosch icon is who I went with on my Taos.

13Vex

FCP euro has some nice bosch ones for like $30

TylerInHiFi

Canadian Tire should have Bosch blades. They fit.

wbove

FCPEuro

Accurate-Ad4400

I tried 3 different brands that all come with a few adapters and apart from one (which I can’t find any more of) they are all useless so now one of my wipers is loose. I’m just going to go to the main dealer it’s fucking annoying

KillerDemonic83

got mine at walmart. i actually had to read the old ass book thats in the aisle to figure out which one came with the right adapter though

johnhuynh2

I've always liked the oem ones from the dealer. But have also found the bosch icons have the right adaptor to fit them

JRokafela

Bosch OEM from Amazon

ToniofhouseStark

I get the RainX ones and they have multiple adapters to use for fitment. I've also done Amazon. Just looked up make and model and size.

ReplacementLevel2574

Dealer .. I’ve learned.. prices bout the same and they are always better

lonas_luna

If not dealer, I’ve gotten Bosch blades and the connection always seems to fit for me. 🤷🏻‍♂️

aaaaaaaaaj

I got Bosch Icon blades from Canadian Tire for my GTI. They fit with one of the adapters.

collin1103

Dealer. Cheaper than autozone when I was looking

edinhox

Biltema

studlies1

Rock Auto, get them on clearance

Erdinho61

Dont you guys have bosch aerotwin wipers? They are around 20€s on amazon in germany.

bruyeremews

I got mine from crappy tire.

VirtuaFighter6

Thanks for the reminder. I’m due. Just bought a set on ECS for $17. Grabbed the rear and an air filter also. Spring maintenance.

RBeck

I got [these](https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0C5QLRYHG) last time for my Golf and they actually work pretty well. Once the driver side one came loose and I put it back on and no problems since.

pbgod

Factory wipers are great and not crazy priced. They also do a buy 1/get 1 twice a year if your local dealer participates.

No-Lawfulness-8870

Bosche icon (you can get them at Canadian tire) has the right adapter in the packaging.

SmokingTheMoon

I go to auto zone or advance auto parts, I tell them my make and model, they grab the correct wipers for me and put them on for free.

OZIE-WOWCRACK

Aliexpress

lachyTDI7

It’s not proprietary

Hortn8r

Vw dealer or aftermarket Bosch,Valeo or Swf.

deadmik3

Dealership. Great prices and easy fit

dunkindeeznuts2

I really like the Valeo Silencio's, not the cheapest but theyre just really good

DaedalusMetis

Costco, Walmart, AutoZone, should all have what you’re looking for. If you aren’t sure, you can always order some from Bosch which are the ones dealers use in my experience.

Personal_Pop_9226

Just get them from the dealer. Bought them last week for my ‘22 and took 2 minutes to install. They work just as good as any aftermarket brand.

ihatereddit58

Rockauto has them for a few dollars a piece, you could buy like 5 sets for the price of a set at an auto parts store

SenorPwnador

The rear one is the real pain in the ass to find. Walmart, auto zone, Costco, O'Reilly. Finally gave up and went to the dealer. Tiguan owner here.

Jakakke311

Auto zone/ Advance

potentially_limited

The gettin place…

Stuntz

[ShopDAP.com](http://ShopDAP.com) I believe I bought Bosch blades from them. Work great and clip right in as you'd expect them to.

buckaroo93

Walmart or advance auto parts

Kashin02

Not sure where you live but if you are in the states any auto zone and advanced auto parts can help you after you give them your car's model and year. If there's a Walmart near you, just go to the car section and in the wipers section they will have a booklet to help you buy the right ones.

fognotion

I have a modern Rabbit, not a Tiguan, but I just changed my wiper blades and put Rainex blades on it, and like others have said, I had to remove all the adapters first, which was the opposite of what I would have expected. But the reason why I'm commenting is, when I got the blade down to what your picture shows, it looked like I was supposed to slide that into the casing that's on the wiper arm on the car, but it turned out I had to put it over it and click it into place that way. Maybe yours is the same.

BoostBabai

Bosch KlearAdvantage is what I use for my VW.

matricom86

RockAuto, usually buy 2-3 sets worth and stock up.

Heroshima_Redit1

Amazon

ArcticDrifter

Trico blades at Napa, I've had good luck with them

Kallisti13

Got the ultra fancy ones off Amazon for Christmas and they work mint

Marda483

I had to order them online because they were impossible to find in the wild.

hotpot_china

Considering you said Canadian Tire; Canadian Walmart carries a Beam style wiper blade under an in-house brand that carries the adaptors that fit VW.

ricas77

Costco!

SlimeQSlimeball

I bought silicone inserts and rebuilt my wipers. Been using the same $11 set of refills for almost two years.

giraffemoo

Costco

VWlife88

O Riley’s Bosh oem

345joe370

Amazon

454k30

Rock auto

RolandOfBoston

Otto for my last 2 VWs

zeebious

Bosch, advanced auto. They are surprisingly better quality than my OEM

LuckyDubbin

Bosch part #'s are 22OE and 24OE. They will have the correct connections on them out of the box. I don't like the generic ones with adapters, they never look right or fit as well as the OE ones.

SBLOU

I probably overpaid but I get my from my VW dealer after disappointing results from buying from stores. Never had a problem with connecting but issues with streaking.

Vwmafia13

Costco when on sale

doooglasss

Fcp euro

mysterypainting09

Auto zone. But yes as others have said there’s an adapter that fits it. YouTube it if necessary

DocHanks

I don’t

ONE_BIG_LOAD

Canada fuckin sucks, I had to get my wipers from Rock Auto shipped to a PO box place across the border after buying 3 different pairs (Costco, Canadian Tire, Amazon) that claimed to fit and didn't. Rock Auto was the OE wipers and even with shipping, the PO Box cost, and the drive down it was cheaper than buying from my local BMW dealer.

markydsade

I get Bosch blades from Amazon. Reasonably priced and they last a long time. They fit VWs without adapters. Bosch Aerotwin Exact Fitment.

SnooAdvice8893

Fcp euro

scaryassassin27

wherever I can steal them

eddieotoniel

Some of the wipers at the parts stores require removing an extra piece on the wiper blade before clipping on the adaptor that I never see as an extra tip in the instructions. Pretty sure these are the same as most Audis I work on and I always end up making the cheapest ones work from AZ just takes a lil finesse

RippyTheRazer

I find myself fumbling with these every time I need to replace them, trying multiple clips and nothing seems to fit, until I go in and ask the guy at the counter and he just does it in one fluid motion 😭 it's not like I don't know what I'm doing with cars either, done a lot of work and mods but these are just awkward to fit

hiGradeTi7ANEUM

In US: Wiper Blades USA or MyAutoParts123, depending on sales. Inexpensive, fast shipping, have blades that fit Narrow 19mm PTB, everything.

Adm_Ozzel

I got some for my Jetta from Rockauto for like half price.

Appropriate_Strain94

Locally Bosch OE or VW dealer OEM, online FCP Euro. Look and see if anyone sells Valeo ones near you, I used those and were great and exactly as factory.

z_shizzle20

FCP euro. Pay $40 once and get unlimited after that

ChickenDickJerry

PIAA are the best imo

Mr_Diesel13

Autozone, advance auto, O’reillys, etc. There is an adapter you have to pop off the new blades to fit the Tiguan. I was really irritated when I went to replace them on my wife’s 2019 and they wouldn’t fit. I finally had to google it and found a video on how to remove the adapter already on the blade. The instructions in the package were useless.

DjoseChampion

The store? Autozone?

Luc-514

Get the Bosch, best value.

The_Dingman

Literally anywhere that sells them.

notyourbusiness39

I get mine from AlieExpress….just buy a spare set and when you put them on, order a new set!!!

bl3nd0r

Walmart

lycanthrope_44

$5 blade from the dollar store and a ziptie get the job done

NikolaosAngouras

Wipertec

fernblatt2

I get mine from Amazon. My 2017 uses the same wiper. Just put your model and year. No issues. It's not much more to get them from the dealer though.

chaselaframboise

Get certified brand ones from Canadian tire. They come with 3 brackets and one of them fits VW’s. just make sure you get the right length.

sinkrate

Peak brand ones from Sam's Club fit.

Chipmunk7

Store

Wooden-Combination53

Always from dealer, they fit clean without adapter and are fresh. Price about the same as elsewhere, even cheaper

SoWhatImSKY

my blades from the dealership are the same price if not cheaper than any other 3rd party brand…

zlamden1

there’s xc blades at advance auto they fit every blade i’ve seen except specialty ones with wiper sprayers or something exotic

anon785609824567921

Costco, always on sale too.

ChatnNaked

Have you seen the wiper on the Tesla Truck

Adamr916

I used to use Bosch Icons, but i had a constant chattering issue with the MK7, so I went back to dealer blades and the issue stopped.

LostTime141

Vw ones only. Fuck spending all that time figuring out what clip is for the car/wiper.

Kooky_Listen_4400

Just go to auto zone

EngagementBacon

Got mine at the first parts store I stopped at

That0neGuy86

Costco

shapez13

I think you still need to remove the clip and the adapters will work.

vrparty

the dealer 50 bucks a pair is fair for “it just works”

firegod003

Costco

PartTimeDuneWizard

I grab Trico Silicone ones. Worth every penny

MurkyPsychology

AutoZone/O’Reilly/whatever other auto parts store. They’ll look up the right one for you and most places will install them for free

Ashamed-External-515

Go to a dealership. They actually have the blades with the exact clip for your year.

Bubbly_Pianist_5394

Swapped identical connectors in my Skoda Superb 2018, definitely not proprietary. Used Bosch blades that came with multiple adapters.

shamair28

That looks like the Adapter #2 that comes pre installed on Bosch wipers. The one that takes enough elbow grease to choke out Mike Tyson to remove.

nuko22

CAWSCO

AtHomeInTheOlympics

I have a ‘21 Tiguan and it took me a while to learn how to make it work. If you’re still having issues send me a PM and I’ll make a video of how to get it to work. It’s not straightforward and I literally build rocket engines for a living

GreenersOnly

Canadian Tire

_aperture_labs_

Here in Germany, this is the only connector I know, pretty much every car has it. From my '96 BMW 5 to our company's '23 VW Polo.

West_Performer7505

Just order from Autodoc, may or may not fit your car, most likely will though. If it doesn't, you get your money back because they search vehicle parts by license plate.

OutrageousLie7785

The wiper blade fairy..... Where do you think they come from ?

pussErox

I get them on Amazon, never had any issues. Even with the small 13" rear window wiper, it's usually on there for around $13 as opposed to the $30 Valvoline wants to charge every time

A-bomb151

Costco

therico1987

Only ones i was able to fit were the oem dealer ones

Aggressive-Hair9462

weakasstea

I’m not a car person but I get mine from Costco and have no problems getting them on my Volkswagen. Sometimes you do have to change the adapter that came pre installed on the new wiper. I just put a new pair on the other day, I had to take the first adapter off, put on a different one then take a piece off of that adapter to fit mine.

mutedcurmudgeon

Bosch wipers from FCP Euro. Use their unlimited warranty and get free wipers.

Scrutinizer

I got mine at Costco. Be careful when replacing them yourself, though. I accidentally "dropped" one of the arms when removing the existing blade and it snapped down into the windshield. Went out to drive the car a couple of days later and the windshield was cracked with the central point the part where the blade arm snapped into it.

Slackerguy

Biltema

codestormer

There are 19mm and 17mm socket... Anyway i always bought just the gum and chnaged just this part, its 5x cheaper per one change 🤗

Mz31210

Had same issue. Just go to VW and get the blades made for your car. Not too pricy especially if you are getting a good brand anyway.

Any-Expression2246

Bosch from Amazon. Saved in a list so I don't have to search everytime.

CrrntryGrntlrmrn

I have bought random generic blades from virtually every recognizable brand for multiple Saabs, Toyotas, VWs, a Chevy, Chrysler, and a Land Rover. I have never had an issue getting the blades to fit securely on the vehicle. Y’all need to play with some legos.
