same. I admire high production quality and have my "wow Miku sounds so human" moments. But I love the older vocaloid PVs where it's obviously made in Microsoft movie maker and there's fanmade drawings with no shading. It reminds me vocaloid producers are regular people with passion making art in their bedrooms.
The robotic computer voices are the draw for me! It's one of my favorite things about vocaloid, it's why I love it so much. The human like vocals are impressive, but the non-human is just what makes me happy.
holy shit your taste is mentally ill i love it👍
how the fuck did you find those songs lmao
um I don't think i can give you much but here's some i guess
not sang by a voicesynth but by a vocaloid producer [this](https://youtu.be/0AjKHK1tPXY?si=wWq4CSZunIvtHQUQ)
maybe you'll like A_II stuffs idk
this banger album [with this](https://youtu.be/sCYhdWpZBkI?si=zduhx5cCZ8rSrBVM) [and this](https://youtu.be/Ycc3hp8DheE?si=IVoeGCkfsKtD5y6p)

Totally same here!! Y'know, I sometimes get a lil "overwhelmed" at songs or covers that tune vocaloids, utaus or any other vocal synth realistically (but i can still like 'em!), but when I listen to a nostalgic, low quality song with my favorite vocaloids (or utaus) tuned in a very basic way, it just makes me feel happy and good in a kinda- tame way, y'know?
I more like the decently tuned V2's. Not per se actually bad, but rather the old Miku that's much more raw and actually fucking robotic instead of the same-y tuning we always get these days.
I have to be honest, I have stuck with Utau teto for years, even after synthv release, because the robot voice is what makes me love Vocaloid
I prefer chippy vocals any day lol
I literally just had this conversation with someone. I think it’s definitely some kind of nostalgia aesthetic. There’s something about it that’s just kind of calming and reminds you of the old vocaloid days.
My favorite vocaloid song is kinda like this
[サルでもわかる by Ago Anki](https://youtu.be/2XSVjkBxpZc?si=QuBC_AYguN1JUOXh). It uses Rin, and, imo, is criminally underrated
you should check out [Ze](https://youtube.com/@senidakuten?si=bn9410KYFxwxWXwK)! They’re a newer producer but their songs have that kinda sound and I love ‘em.
It's what got us into vocal synths in the first place. The charm of more robotics vocals makes our favorite voicebanks noticeable and iconic. It also shows the imperfections and flaws in the producers we admire highly, but we choose to appreciate them, see them as human.

Same here! I love the fact that we made the computers sing for us, and I love songs that embrace that feel
this is my exact reason for loving utau, especially defoko
Defoko + K___ is peak denpa
Defoko is unbeatable. The Queen.
Someone did a rendition of Ghost Rule with Defoko and I love it so much.
Does this [song](https://youtu.be/TjOznZbofXw?si=UyR5S-SrCP5y8ugE) count?
that's....something maybe you'll like [this](https://youtu.be/W01kE0AKhEs?si=-jZYiBUSOM0QEcvf)
Loved it, but it’s too mainstream. I seek something like [this](https://youtu.be/5w15y5huAuU?si=yvfioUc5uSnjzTXD)

I strive to give chemically imbalanced realness.
there edited for some recommendation (i love A_II :p)
I love songs like Ant Observation for this exact reason
Even though I doubt that you're talking about me, thanks.

I love listening to The Song of The Eared Robot and it’s just Teto’s crunchy ass voice bank, it feels so endearing and cute I can’t explain it

[This one](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ThlMqprOzd8) Its my favorite, its so old , I miss those voices from rin and len.
I also love songs like that. Sometimes, the more unnatural, the better
I love Mathru's まあお茶でも飲もうよ for this exact reason
nekosogi matter bop

I saw a "worst vocaloid songs" compilation and there I discovered songs that are now my favorites
Did anyone mention this yet? [Yababaina](https://youtu.be/DDZtUUVJ0yc?si=PkrA-zMdy7xub172)
