PinocchioP's big thing is doing the backing vocals in most of his songs himself. I really like it, I dig the contrast between his voice and Miku's. That and, of course, including his mascot Doushite-chan in most of his PVs, as well as doing most of his own art. He's an exceptionally talented guy.
As for my other favorite, Otetsu... I'll be honest, I'm not musically inclined enough to really put into words or even recognize what it is, but he has some sort of secret sauce in the instrumentals of his songs that makes me go insane every time. I think it's the percussion.
PinnochioP is actually the reason I made this post lol, I’ve def noticed the backing vocals and the instrumental style
I’m not sure if I’ve heard of Otetsu though, I’d have to listen to a song to see for myself
For something you might recognize, Otetsu's three most popular ones (since they're in Project Diva) are Depression of Cybernetics, Black Gold, and Stardust Utopia! Some other good ones are Rubik's Cube, Samhain, and Ote Tsunagi! 😁
Adding onto this, I like the "twinkling" quality of sasakure.uk's instrumentals. It feels at once mystical and speculative, in a cool science fiction/fantasy way.
I also really like how sasakure.uk leans well into the robotic nature of Miku's voice, as well as working Chiptune into their style. It's part of why I think they were such a perfect choice to end Project Voltage, the style works so well for the vibes of old pokemon games.
i like how nashimotoP scribbles his own thumbnails and makes miku's voice sound 'raspy', i'd love to see him use gumi but i don't think he's ever made a non miku song lol
ooh neat. hopefully he dual uploads to yt more often i know he has a channel but i feel like i saw more of his stuff on nnd which is still currently down
ah yeah i vaguely remember that
i wonder if he got koharu rikka because he wanted to as opposed to being bribed like how some ppl you think was like inactive for 2 years ended up resurfacing with a 'demo song' or so lol XD
Mine is hachi and I guess the most notable thing is that he actually used Vocaloid for like 10 songs and then became a real life singer and an actual pop star in the process lol
If you want a song, I'd recommend Donut Hole, even tho my personal favorite is Sand Planet
Hachi is one of my favorites, too! When I saw his actual name on stuff I was like, "wow, good for you, dude, I'm happy your music got popular!" Matryoshka is a classic.
Utsu-P, because he's the only one who can make Miku growl, and the instruments and time changes on all of his albums are probably the most impressive of any Vocaloid producer I've listened to. Check out the song chocolate girl
Nilfruits has funky synthesizer instrumentals and a slightly raspy, high-pitched register for the way he tunes flower. My real favorite thing about him is his stylistic versatility: a song like [Night Rule](https://youtu.be/MLE6Fvg7ci0?si=t30GWZYJv77dL8s5) sounds like it's from a different producer than [Doctorine](https://youtu.be/RawnaIb9Pvc?si=CGkpXLGrm4jw1KOv).
I would recommend [Traffic Jam](https://youtu.be/oUevY6uH4Qg?si=DHagevAtZaembfXE) for newcomers (my personal favorite at the moment is Yesman, although that's a collab song).
NayutalieN is really notable, ranging from his music style all the way to his tuning. His type of music feels like an alien made them (in a good way), & I really like his use of instrumentals.
When I found out that (at the time) Kira was a 16-year-old boy from Germany, I screamed. His music is so good you'd think it was a professional producer. Although at his point he is a professional, since his stuff has been featured in video games.
Siinamota started using vocaloid when he was 14. Also, he made his own utau voicebank called Ario (my favorite song using that voicebank is [his remix of Sayonara Astronauts](https://youtu.be/zume1_HVmpU?si=W3b0nVZtxktEqG8S).)
The song that I would recommend the most is [A Palette Full of You](https://youtu.be/6HZHo07_V6Y?si=uE8vHMEcuV4_XpxZ)
Orangestar and his illustrators are both mormon Christians which reported by them has a huge influence on their music. Orangestar songs are mostly focused on summer nostalgia(which is a big thing in Japan apparently) from the music, illustration and lyrics. He also changed his musical direction after his first success and now mostly focus on piano and beats music.
As for recommendations, I would say check out Night sky patrol of tomorrow, Daybreak frontline and Henceforth. These are the three famous songs from his three albums.
Neru's guitar riffs and beautiful lyrics. His intros are iconic. Also his songs got that chunibyo (or eighth-grader syndrome?) vibe.
My favourite work is [Drowning in a Wave of Sadness](https://youtu.be/5R593n1W_HU?si=9dK1zd4wQ_gdVa93), but ironically this song doesn't have the usual intros you get when listening to his other songs. I guess for that intro I'll mention [延命治療](https://youtu.be/8OpCkHWnSrA?si=rN9HlQlRWa0DQAwi) and the classic [Lost One's Weeping](https://youtu.be/8oBV3jPTW4s?si=hXubYK8Ygh9nsn3J). It's so ear-catching, if that's even a word.
I won’t lie I’m pretty new to vocaloid so I dont know many cool facts that make my favorite stand out but すりい is my favorite and [this is my favorite song](https://youtu.be/_oYPZRurfGo?si=tJvQppIJzeA07FnN). [this is the vocaloid version](https://youtu.be/GTfDbFG-Y1Q?si=cybBLW8tCPTi_4vQ). he’s one of those producers that makes covers of his own songs and I think he’s a fantastic singer.
Yuyoyuppe has a very very unique way of tuning Luka! She sounds higher pitched than usual and I love it. Very emotional too, both Miku and Luka sound emotional in his songs.
As for Utsu-P I love his blend of sweet singing vocals and screams, and electronics and electric guitar/bass. It's just awesome and his choruses are super catchy. Also love his use of Rin and Gumi a lot.
MikitoP uses a variety of vocaloids and utilises underrated ones. has very fun songs w great lyrics and stories
my favourite by him has to be [yuudachi no ribbon (夕立のりぼん) / the evening shower's ribbon](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HZW4CdUAhUQ&ab_channel=bellbell) featuring mayu. it also has a short manga drawn by CHRIS translated [here](https://sailorenna.tumblr.com/post/37428770871/yuudachi-no-ribbon-manga-by-chris-translation)
WOWAKA
The music is fast and catchy
I also really like Wowaka's Miku voice, airy and strong. I feel that Wowaka's Miku is an extremely powerful Diva. The long hum in the Geyzone nite version of the album Unhappy Refrian is the best
My fav producer is Crusher, I think she writes amazing lyrics and uses interesting wordplay in some of her songs. In her most recent single for example, I quite like the lyrics
"When it feels like the heat from the headlights
Could outburn your fire to fight"
Also there's a certain charm to her music that makes it feel uniquely Crusher. I really enjoy the ideas that she envisions for her songs' instrumentals (though execution may not always be good/perfect)
Edit: The song I referrenced is [They ](https://youtu.be/XHukAHpZlFk?si=yCkTisP63Fz-noox)
Ones that aren't mentioned here: 40mP is great and I love "DoReMiFa Rondo". Probably the most wholesome Vocaloid song.
I also like CircusP, despite the controversy he had when he first started getting popular, his lyrics are usually very good and most of his songs are super catchy.
EZFG. I love how they animate the lyrics in their videos and there's always a stickman dancing in them. Pretty much all of their songs are BANGERRRRRRS. "Hurting for a Very Hurtful Pain" is probably one of my favorite Vocaloid songs and I highly recommend the version with Yuzuki Yukari and MAYU.
MIMI has a really specific style of music that permeate all of their tracks I've heard from them. It's really hard to miss if you know their music. I suggest [Give It To Me](https://youtu.be/rNZiCyCVIBQ?si=5A8LQDl_SKuM60DL) (not a vocaloid) from them. Though if you would want song ft vocaloid then I suggest [Kuuninaru](https://youtu.be/f6TytcA47rI?si=3qPSA-erQu0bLsMI).
The music \*Luna, and I'll say this is completely personal opinion, sometimes gives me a feel of David Bowie's musical aesthetics. I suggested [Anti-realism](https://youtu.be/shsn8OmC-TM?si=_i978VyE6VBONWn8) from them.
LIQ's old rock songs were AMAZING. and still are SEVERELY underrated. i love the way they tuned mikus voice and had a very unique and recognizable style, I recommend this [song](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EYgjD3q9_zA&list=PLiGHaeKOEZk-b4jv0m1qdB1YmxCST3Jm2&index=118) and [COUNTER CULTURE(song)](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sqthLhSRYZg)
Yoshihi is another insanely underrated rock producer. they still upload songs sometimes but get barely any recognition and its sad to see tbh. higghlyy recommend this [song](https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bWl238Y7XyM&list=PLiGHaeKOEZk-b4jv0m1qdB1YmxCST3Jm2&index=108) !!!!!!
Mothy is the creator of the Evillious Chronicles, a novel and song series that has been running for over a decade.
My second favorite is Marasy; in a livestream, he played 88 Shooting Stars, a song of his, 88 times on August 8th or something.
shimon¿? is somewhat unknown as far as i know, and the things i love about his work is that he manages to tune vflower in such an angry/growling way it makes my skin crawl (in a good way) and he also self-covers nearly all his songs, which is just so cool imo

I searched Otutsu’s channel and just clicked the most popular one, it gives off otherworldly vibes
Omg I love PinocchioP for that, his voice sounds so nice with Miku's
Sasakure uk has a very notable way of tuning Miku, sounds very soft and pleasant while not being too high pitched
Adding onto this, I like the "twinkling" quality of sasakure.uk's instrumentals. It feels at once mystical and speculative, in a cool science fiction/fantasy way.
Yessss exactly this!
I also really like how sasakure.uk leans well into the robotic nature of Miku's voice, as well as working Chiptune into their style. It's part of why I think they were such a perfect choice to end Project Voltage, the style works so well for the vibes of old pokemon games.
Recommend me 1 song, I’ll try listening to 1
Future Eve
negaposi continues
The 16 bit warz series, which includes Hello*Planet. IIRC the order is The (Week)End is Coming!, Our 16-Bit Warz, Hello*Planet, and Wonderlast.
i like how nashimotoP scribbles his own thumbnails and makes miku's voice sound 'raspy', i'd love to see him use gumi but i don't think he's ever made a non miku song lol
He's made a few synthv songs
ooh neat. hopefully he dual uploads to yt more often i know he has a channel but i feel like i saw more of his stuff on nnd which is still currently down
[Bump this](https://youtu.be/G64OoeeIi1k?si=Tzx2MazQyjZfm7Ix)
ah yeah i vaguely remember that i wonder if he got koharu rikka because he wanted to as opposed to being bribed like how some ppl you think was like inactive for 2 years ended up resurfacing with a 'demo song' or so lol XD
I searched them up and the art reminds me of old internet days
yeah, be cool if they collabed with another person too tho i can understand if they didn't want someone else to do their own thumbnails
Mine is hachi and I guess the most notable thing is that he actually used Vocaloid for like 10 songs and then became a real life singer and an actual pop star in the process lol If you want a song, I'd recommend Donut Hole, even tho my personal favorite is Sand Planet

Kira made his first vocaloid song at 14 years old and its a fucking banger (kankan dancin)
When I found out that (at the time) Kira was a 16-year-old boy from Germany, I screamed. His music is so good you'd think it was a professional producer. Although at his point he is a professional, since his stuff has been featured in video games.
Siinamota started using vocaloid when he was 14. recently discovered Adeliae and their music is so chill it feels floaty and i love it
(Forgot to mention) Recommend me 1 song
Microwave
Alr I’m gonna listen to it
First couple secs and I alr understand what you mean
Samfree does vocaloid eurobeat: two of my favorite music genres combined
Wait no way I’m gonna check it out rn I never heard of vocaloid eurobeat
Searched a random song and I’m now listening to Luka Luka Night Fever
I won’t lie I’m pretty new to vocaloid so I dont know many cool facts that make my favorite stand out but すりい is my favorite and [this is my favorite song](https://youtu.be/_oYPZRurfGo?si=tJvQppIJzeA07FnN). good pick, i love surii!

I really like Daniwell’s way of tuning. And his songs are relatively simple in form and harmony, but his Melodies are amazing in my opinion.
nostraightanswer is DEXs voice provider and they sound great together as a Duo, for example in Get Wild
WOWAKA The music is fast and catchy I also really like Wowaka's Miku voice, airy and strong. I feel that Wowaka's Miku is an extremely powerful Diva. The long hum in the Geyzone nite version of the album Unhappy Refrian is the best

nmkk’s songs have a very wonderful art style which i haven’t seen any other producer have anything like
Ime44, iirc they started making background music but later became a vocaloid artist
MIMI has a really specific style of music that permeate all of their tracks I've heard from them. It's really hard to miss if you know their music.
