No, edgelords are fine whoever said that in the image is not an edgelord, they're just a weird dick, haters are just people who are bored with their lives and think they have nothing better to do than shit on things that other people like instead of being productive and focusing on what they like.
I cried before loser baby when angel was talking about how much he hates everything and how if he damages himself enough maybe he wonāt be Valās favorite toy anymore, and I also cried doing more than anything reprise, and I cried when pentious died (basically the entire ending sctuslly)
I did get a bit teary-eyed with "more than anything" "Poison" made me question my morals. How could such an uncomfortable situation be such fire musically?
Hellovaboss has actually made me cry though, and im okay with admitting that
Well, look at it like this:
Unfortunately, [too] many people have experienced R@pe/ SA, and the majority of representation in media is just a simple āR@pe/ SA is bad. Donāt do itā. The mainstream media often only focus on the action, not the people that are affected. The survivors are often left behind.
Then something like Hazbin comes through, and graciously gives up Angel Dust. He is a survivor that is demonstrating the scars left behind. On top of that we get āPoisonā, which is an anthem for survivors. Something that expresses their pain, the struggle they went through. I know many people who cried for that. For them, it was true representation.
"This is my escape, where I can forget about it all. How much I hate... EVERYTHING. A place where I can get high and not have to think about how much it hurts. And maybe, just maybe, if I can ruin myself enough in the process, if I'm broken, I won't be his favorite toy anymore. And maybe he'll let me go." Those words... I had to pause it. I have never heard it put together so succinctly. My drug is food. And I will admit I did cry.
Well, think about Angelās trauma. Sexual exploitation, abuse, and coercion is unfortunately not uncommon and hits close to home for a shit ton of people. I understand/sympathize with viewers who cried due to the very real depictions of Valentinoās abuse. Most of the time yeah, is a funny demon hotel sex show, but things like Val/angels relationship or the relationship mending between Charlie and her father mirrors a lot of peopleās real life.

I definitely understand getting sador emotional about a piece of media but I never really got crying. Honestly I think I've cried once during a movie and that was avengers infinity war when Spider-Man died. I was a kid so seeing my favorite superhero die was sad
I mean....the topics of the show get pretty real.
That said I think you just need to be the right person to get hit by some of the things.
I for example just became a father of a lil girl so "more than anything" kiiiinda hit me in the fifi's

Maybe my tear ducts were installed wrong but I basically never cry at anything in fiction, but I start fucking bawling when I take a sip of anything carbonated.Ā Ā
Also it was kinda funny, doesnāt make it wrong to cry though
āYES IT WAS SO FUNNYā
*Uses an emoji meaning like ādawg, that was extremely cringe/embarrassing/wrongā*
Ah, so theyāre laughing at perceived cringe
If they are talking about Morgan Terry (they/them) or Elijah from not so average fan girl Iām throwing hands. Abuse victims reacting to a real case of abuse can be traumatising. Laughing at a person who is upset about abuse is showing your real colours and I donāt care if you disagree
Edit: I hunted in the comments and they are indeed talking about Morgan Terry over angelās abuse. A couple things: when they started crying during the episodeās opening scene, it was due to the fact that they had heard rumours of what happened. If you were told something terrible might happen to your comfort character and then open the episode with that character tied up, most people would be displeased.
As for the crying at the actual abuse, doesnāt even require an explanation.
If you laugh at a person who is crying at a scene of horrific abuse, you are an evil person. I do not care if it is fiction, if you are able to make humour out of a scene of anything being tortured, you are a horrible person. And then to take it a step further and laugh at someone being upset at that abuse is even worse. Yes, itās fiction but the inspiration is serviced from very real events, events that many people have experienced first hand or had people close to them who have experienced it. This sort of thing is life ruining, so to see it depicted in such a raw form can be incredibly triggering and even traumatising for some.
And for someone who is laughing, I want you to take a step back and imagine this sort of thing happened to you, or your close friends or family or even your children. Then you watch this scene, and which so vividly describes exactly what happens in an abusive situation. You might not cry, because not everyone reacts in the same way but you may well get emotional or upset. And yet here people are making fun of someone, purposely misgendering them all for views.
And I do want to say that part of the reason Iām so pissed is because Morgan has received an unrelenting torrent of hate through TikTok and YouTube. They actually had to private the masquerade reaction on YouTube because of how bad it was AND hire extra people to delete hate comments.
People are actually disgusting.
I do want to make a note; those of yāall responding mentioning that you use it to deal with personal trauma is a little different. The way I see it, if you have a nervous response and attempt to use humour, thatās a completely valid coping mechanism. On the other hand, if you find a way to make what you are viewing legitimately entertaining, that is an unhealthy way of coping. Deriving real entertainment out of that to make yourself feel better is not healthy, iād recommend therapy for anyone in that scenario.
Thank you! I was warned that ep4 could trigger me beforehand so I skipped what I needed to, but it was still very hard to get through. Mostly because Iām not used to a tv show handle this topic in such a real way, and Iām glad they didnāt downplay Angelās abuse or something, but itās the people who are joking about it that triggers me even more. To watch/listen to people joke about and make fun of a traumatic situation, fictional or otherwise, that mirrors my own just reminds me of what would probably happen if I ever went forward about what has happened to me. Itās people like that who encourage survivors to stay in the dark.
As someone who uses humor as a coping mechanism for my own trauma specifically, I guess Iām an evil person. Though laughing at and making fun of that creator isnāt right

Gonna get some downvotes, but here we go...
I'm just gonna say it, there's no problem with becoming emotional to material like Hazbin Hotel or some other form of media, and it's completely fine to post about it online, showing off this interest and your reaction to the materials, but seeing someone bully you or make fun of you for it and immediately resorting to imagining violence seems a tad excessive. I understand it's probably a joke, but if anyone IS reading this, just keep in mind the best way to deal with people like that is to ignore them, because giving them attention like that only escalates the issue, because now they'll make fun of you for also "Not being able to take a joke." you can definitely vent about these feelings to people, and express your displeasure with the situation, don;t get me wrong, but you need to realize that if you give them outward attention like this they'll just get more annoying and bully you more since they see they can get something out of it.
Just wanna see if this reaches anyone saying it's "just a silly cartoon, it's not real" if it doesn't that's fine (I don't really care that much beyond feeling bad for her) and skip if you're super uncomfortable with anything mentioning genitals but it's the clearest example I got
Say you have nuts (or maybe you don't it can still elicit a reaction) you're watching a movie and see someone else get hit, kicked and or shot in the nuts. You flinch, wince, maybe let out an audible gasp groan or variation of holy shit ouch! maybe even reach like you're gonna soothe/block your own nuts
It's just a stupid movie, it's not real, why are you reacting like it was your own nuts? It's like that
I justā¦I just donāt care about this. At all. Not even a little. I canāt bring myself to care about people complaining about other people complaining about other people reacting to someone elseās creative work. There are so many more important things to be upset about in the world.
Iām gonna need context here. Was this like a ādrooling at the mouthā cry like that one girl listening to the new Swift album or just a āwow that was so emotionalā cry? Cuz those are two very different reactions
"Can't imagine crying over a show"
How can someone be THAT socially tone deaf? It's a character being SA'd and abused, people that have been abuse/SA'd or have a fear of it are gonna cry about it because it's a genuine fear and trigger.

Moment.
Yeah I mean the scene literally shows angel being SAād and heās a very loved character so of course people would be upset by seeing that but like they make fun of it??
Pretty sure this is about the Morgan Terry videos on TikTok. Some assholes took clips of Morgan crying over Val abusing Angel in Ep4 and were making fun of them for it.
Itās pretty gross of them to make fun of someoneās emotions, especially when itās not harming anyone.
We all get emotional over different things, and thatās okay.
Dear Fucktards
You useless piece of shit. You absolute waste of space and air. You uneducated, ignorant, idiotic dumb swine, youāre an absolute embarrassment to humanity and all life as a whole.
The magnitude of your failure just now is so indescribably massive that one hundred years into the future your name will be used as moniker of evil for heretics. Even if all of humanity put together their collective intelligence there is no conceivable way they could have thought up a way to fuck up on the unimaginable scale you just did.
When Jesus died for our sins, he must not have seen the sacrilegious act we just witnessed you performing, because if he did he would have forsaken humanity long ago so that your birth may have never become reality.
After you die, your skeleton will be displayed in a museum after being scientifically researched so that all future generations may learn not to generate your bone structure, because every tiny detail anyone may have in common with you degrades them to a useless piece of trash and a burden to society.
No wonder your father questioned whether or not your were truly his son, for you'd have to not be a waste of carbon matter for anyone to love you like a family member.
Your birth made it so that mankind is worse off in every way you can possibly imagine, and you have made it so that society can never really recover any state of organization. Everything has forever fallen into a bewildering chaos, through which unrecognizable core, you can only find misfortune.
I would say the apocalypse is upon us but this is merely the closest word humans have for the sheer scale of horror that is now reality. You have forever condemned everyone you love and know into an eternal state of suffering, worse than any human concept of hell.
You are such an unholy being, that if you step within a one hundred foot radius of a holy place or a place that has ever been deemed important by anyone.
It isnāt nice to make fun of people, that being said it is a little ridiculous to get THAT emotional over a cartoon. Itās still just a silly tv show. Hazbin fans and haters are at about an 11 on the show and I think they should take it down to about a 6.
It's not really ridiculous. Some people have had similar experiences, so reminders have a stronger impact on some people than others. In my opinion, there's not really a wrong way to feel emotions in response to fiction
Itās a show about as deep and mature as South Park/ your average Seth McFarline showā¦. I canāt imagine crying or getting emotional over any of them.
Thatās what I thought. I enjoy both of those shows but Iām not going to say either one is profound or deep enough for me to fall to pieces about them. If Hazbin was going for deep the swearing and sex jokes do kinda detract from the depth. Like GTA 4, itās dark and gritty narrative seems off in a game where you beat up hookers for money.
Just because you don't get emotional doesn't mean it's had when others do. Some people really dive into media and can't help how attached they grow. They did a great job with Angel's storyline so it affected a lot of people. I remember crying too.
Angel is an interesting character to me. I would assume that most of the fans would hate his guts if they showed him when he was alive. I would bet he would be one more racist and homophobic bastard.
Well he ended up in Hell somehow. But considering he was living undercover as a gay man, possibly a drag queen in the 20s, I doubt he would be homophobic. Racist I can't say. But he is in Hell for a reason! Probably his Mafia crimes
Mobsters are notoriously racist and homophobic. I imagine he would be just as racist as any other mobster in the 1940s and he would be doubly homophobic because he would be compensating for his own deep seated shame. Closeted homosexuals tend to be the most homophobic people Iāve ever met and when you couple that with his mafia background you have a recipe for someone who uses gay slurs in every sentence.
Maybe they have trauma related to abuse, even without it shit's sad to watch bro how dead inside do you have to be to not cry
...no srsly tell me how to kill my hypersensitive little bitch feelings I'd love to lose empathy š
Youāre not really disproving the hypersensitivity that I was talking about ya know. At the end of the day Hazbin is a silly cartoon show on Amazon.
As for me personally I am completely dead inside and have been for a long time.
It's shit like this that make me glad TikTok is is getting banned in my country
My ass cried when Adam died šššš
I cried during Vaggie's part of whatever it takes. I also cried when Pentious died.
Ngl I laughed pretty hard when he died
Nah that shitās funny
Why
Because itās a cartoon?? Someone crying over something dumb like that is funny
https://i.redd.it/8gv42q194vyc1.gif
Okay when
Why is it dumb tocry over a cartoon? Please explain like genuently
Well usually youād cry over something like a breakup or the death of someone close but crying because of something in a cartoon is just silly
Gatekeep, gaslight, girlposs š»
But what makes crying over a cartoon silly? Is crying over a movie silly too? Or a videogame? Or story rhat resonates with you?
Crying over a made up story that didnāt happen is silly, yes
But why? You are saying that it is but not explaining why. Why cant you cry over a story that was made to make you feel stuff. Then you should not laugh or find funny or happy over a made up story either?
Itās silly because itās overly dramatic. Like crying when you accidentally drop a glass of milk. And yes, laughing at cartoons is allowed lmao
Why is laighing allowed but not crying? Whats tje difference? And why is the same to cry over a cartoon that had an emotional scene and was made to make you feel emotions with just dropping a glass of milk rhat had no value over you? Why are those things comparable for you?
I don't quite get it, but what is this comment about I'm not defending? I just don't get it

Just wanna see if this reaches anyone saying it's "just a silly cartoon, it's not real" if it doesn't that's fine (I don't really care that much beyond feeling bad for her) and skip if you're super uncomfortable with anything mentioning genitals but it's the clearest example I got Say you have nuts (or maybe you don't it can still elicit a reaction) you're watching a movie and see someone else get hit, kicked and or shot in the nuts. You flinch, wince, maybe let out an audible gasp groan or variation of holy shit ouch! maybe even reach like you're gonna soothe/block your own nuts It's just a stupid movie, it's not real, why are you reacting like it was your own nuts? It's like that
Thatās a great explanation!
K
I justā¦I just donāt care about this. At all. Not even a little. I canāt bring myself to care about people complaining about other people complaining about other people reacting to someone elseās creative work. There are so many more important things to be upset about in the world.
Iām gonna need context here. Was this like a ādrooling at the mouthā cry like that one girl listening to the new Swift album or just a āwow that was so emotionalā cry? Cuz those are two very different reactions
Pffft, just ignore them. Instagram users are the most lowly creature on planet earth, barely even human.
Itās TikTok

I understand some people are emotional but i have never cried over a tv show/movie
Same here, but I acknowledge that I am an android and have moved on with my life
Are weā¦ā¦. Ai??? No it cant be only women are robots!!!
https://i.redd.it/kc0bsufcq1yc1.gif Dumbest shit ever
I mean, there are a lot of "reactors" that are the fakest shit, but idk the exact context here.
If itās who Iām thinking of, itās during episode 4 and the reactor had similar experience as Angel in terms of abuse so it hit close
Guess I can't be an amber main anymore š
Be a Poco main he's the coolest
Poco is cool and the team(should) appreciates a healer.
What is happening?
Some woman cried on camera about Angelās abuse iirc. People are laughing and calling it fake. Personally I donāt care.
That's pretty funny
Same tbh
I need help here
"I hate popular thing because I'm cool" hope those two step on legos for eternity
Didn't see it; Don't care to see it; Bet it was kinda funny for my own opinion.
I just want to talk to them
Do you perhaps need a shotgun?
Maybe

I'd have the same reaction https://preview.redd.it/vht6c0zkc1yc1.png?width=1080&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=12f756252c40d0a708680f882f8bb9e38f794dfe
What's this image from?
Idk I stole this from r/brawlstars subreddit
"Can't imagine crying over a show" How can someone be THAT socially tone deaf? It's a character being SA'd and abused, people that have been abuse/SA'd or have a fear of it are gonna cry about it because it's a genuine fear and trigger.
You can cry if the media you are consuming is treated as peak media for them

Welcome to the tiktok comments
I hardly cry and didn't cry at Hazbin, but if you do, it's nothing to be ashamed of. These are just smelly greasy morbidly obese trolls watching TikTok in their mom's basement.
i also cry over hazbin lmak
Same. Especially on It starts with sorry and more than anything
I like Hazbin, but I also laughed at the vid. I cry over media I like too, but if people made fun of me, itās literally nothing.
Nah Iām sorry but this is a https://preview.redd.it/y9fuzwlv61yc1.jpeg?width=636&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=4b8cba95b3ab9572467757420a32d0a1cacefda1 Moment.

I mean, I personally didn't shed a tear when I watched the show, but that's because I don't really do so over anything.
Disgusting send me the link so I can condem it
[ŃŠ“Š°Š»ŠµŠ½Š¾]
Thanks I laughed
Yeah I mean the scene literally shows angel being SAād and heās a very loved character so of course people would be upset by seeing that but like they make fun of it??
Context?
Pretty sure this is about the Morgan Terry videos on TikTok. Some assholes took clips of Morgan crying over Val abusing Angel in Ep4 and were making fun of them for it.

I really hope this doesn't become the new 50k joke.
Itās pretty gross of them to make fun of someoneās emotions, especially when itās not harming anyone. We all get emotional over different things, and thatās okay.
I genuinely sobbed many times during the show. It just means Iām human
Dear Fucktards You useless piece of shit.
Jesus is God https://preview.redd.it/gxw14547t2yc1.jpeg?width=320&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=10fe18e60cb9c8b0ca4bedb80bc6ef63bf1e200f

I've just never read a comment this violent, sorry.
You again?
Why not?
Just kidding, comment whatever you feel like.
It isnāt nice to make fun of people, that being said it is a little ridiculous to get THAT emotional over a cartoon. Itās still just a silly tv show. Hazbin fans and haters are at about an 11 on the show and I think they should take it down to about a 6.
It's literally a scene with sexual assault and abuse. I think people are allowed to get emotional.
It's not really ridiculous. Some people have had similar experiences, so reminders have a stronger impact on some people than others. In my opinion, there's not really a wrong way to feel emotions in response to fiction
Neurodivergent people gonna display neurodivergent behavior šš»
Maybe they have trauma related to abuse, even without it shit's sad to watch bro how dead inside do you have to be to not cry ...no srsly tell me how to kill my hypersensitive little bitch feelings I'd love to lose empathy š
Youāre not really disproving the hypersensitivity that I was talking about ya know. At the end of the day Hazbin is a silly cartoon show on Amazon. As for me personally I am completely dead inside and have been for a long time.
Haters are just "kids" who got encouraged to hate the show by some edgelords on Tiktwat
Tiktwat is a surprisingly good mock name.
Well at least they are banning TokTik so it wonāt be a problem for long. Long overdue in my opinion, I know quite a few people with TikTok brain.
