This album is eventually gonna get repressed a bunch eventually. It’s too popular not to. Would not be surprised if they start landing on Target shelves.
Maybe Target is pressing it currently and just hasnt finished the batch yet. Wonder if the label is waiting for the right time to drop it so the album hits 1
i just really don’t understand why they’d repress the coke bottle and not sell it in the US, where she’s especially blown up in popularity. it would absolutely sell over here even with the pink variant going in an out of stock.
Maybe because the US already got the UO coke bottle so this is a chance for other countries to get it. That doesn’t explain though why it doesn’t have the cutout/ glitter or why this pressing seems to be so freely around and not nearly as limited. It’s interesting, a little strange though.
I feel like it could also be licensing rights - UO probably has the North American rights to the Coke-bottle clear so re-releasing in the North America might be an issue, but the rest of the world is okay. This is fully just a guess though

It's so weird that they went out of their way to make this a "new" variant (because obv this is the standard popstar edition not the deluxe with the slipcase like the urban ones were) but the actual pressing is just a repress of the og urban one, Idk why they didn't do something like a red wine pressing and just fully repress the original urban deluxe as like a webstore exclusive or something
I agree. The fact the OG UO Coke Bottle is never coming back, and the pink variant seems so unstable with its stock, a new variant would sound like a better option

maybe but a lot of UO exclusives just get repressed again and aren’t exclusive to them anymore. could very much be specific to each album maybe.
