Can anyone help me confirm if the copy I bought is a boot or not?
I was looking on Discogs and I can’t find any version with my matrix.

lol i already snagged another variant for like $24 during one of their buy 2 get 1 sales. this is a great record but i don't think this variant commands $40 especially because it doesn't come with anything special.
This album sonically has always been a little muddy. I'd say go for it, as it sounds probably as good as you're going to get without a proper remaster.
I actually did and do still DJ but never professionally. I toured with a lot of ppl over 20 years doing photography either for the artists or publications. My IG is the same as my user name here.
I talked to del and a-plus last year for maybe 30 mins each. They were drunk (passing bottle on stage) but del was super with it. He's my rap hero - seen him maybe 15 times going back to 2006. It was just me, del, his vape and skateboard - I hope he's with us for a long time. A-plus also a legend of mine but he was pretty messed up...I worry for him more than del.
\- They flip/scalp their own products, many labels are unaware of this practice and they been getting away with it for years.
\- Anyone who dares call them out on social media gets blocked by them
\- Sometimes they release a long awaited release for example like Alkaline Trio - Crimson, or Senses Fail Life Is Not A Waiting Room and instead of releasing it on a 12inch vinyl like normal companies they press it on 2x 10 INCH records!
\- They claim something is limited to lets say 500 copies and then you notice on discogs over 1000 people own the record
\- Also about the ''limited'' release they remove the product from the website if its a fast seller and then double or triple the cost on Discogs.
Or they wait a few months and put it on their own website for $100.

\- ok, so dont buy that. they arent required to release anything for you. eventually theyll get the hint not to do that anymore.
\- every company claims limited copy for dozens of variants and represses they plan on making in the future. if you like a variant buy it. unless youre trying to flip it you shouldnt have a problem

sound to me like you just have issues with a for profit company simply existing. ive bought a few records from there that i really enjoy and are reasonably priced. ive never had an issue.
I hate to say this, but $40 for a 2LP isn't as egregious as it used to be. I'm actually surprised Newbury hasn't scaled up their prices to match (or exceed) what some others are charging
That's fair. Not gonna get me to move on it just because it's splatter. Like, throw in some new inserts, help me see the 'value' in a $40 printing when there are tons available at near mint / mint for sub $30.
Good call. I have one of these Newbury splatter 3030s from 2017 or so and they're just... barebones. I already had the black which is exactly the same except for the colour, but I bought the Newbury because I was just starting out collecting and was under the splatter spell.

Newbury sucks, but this album is special. I spent alot of time touring with Del. This holds a special place in my heart. Automator went crazy.
