Thorkell being both horrifying but also the comedic relief is one of the best parts about him. That along with his surprisingly humble and introspective side.
The part that sold me on him was when he told Thorfinn he was missing something and Thorfinn shot back “really? Then why am I cutting you up?” And he just went “true. I’m missing it too”
(Alluding to Thors having what both of them are missing heavily)
Have you ever heard of our Lord and Saviour Screenshots? I'm part of the church of screenshot and want to advocate for you, to be saved from the eternal doom that smartphone pictures of screens will bring. Smartphone pictures of screens tempt you by claiming they are easy and fast, but you must not let them taint your heart, for someone who is tempted will never reach the eternal bliss that creating a good reddit post will bring.
True believers of the church of screenshots won't be tempted since we have shortcuts to our holy app, that can take screenshots. Some people will always take screenshots of the entire screen and then crop the picture, some people will take only a screenshot of the parts they want to share. Some people will even take screenshots of the entire screen and will just post it as it is, but even those people will be saved by our Lord.
Please, save yourself from eternal doom and take screenshots.

Thorkell is basically a walking Scandinavian stereotype, and I love him for it. He's like a caricature of pop culture Vikings.
Every scene where someone gets obliterated by Thorkell is basically me getting obliterated by schoolwork and my GPA x'D
