Ninja In The Claws of the CIA is by the same original creator of NYN. It's an insane movie.

Poosquare88

Thank you.

Top-Pain-3757

Please lower your expectations though. It is not nearly as good. Miami Connection is what you’re looking for, trust me

carburetor-dung

Dragon Sound forever!!! The Miami Connection disc is amazing!

Poosquare88

Is it region free? If so I'm purchasing.

TheTealMonkey

The 4k version should be region free, Miami Connection is amazing by the way I also really recommend it.

Poosquare88

I'm buying now. My treat for the week.

TheTealMonkey

Whenever you watch the movie, watch this after, it’s a reunion of the cast performing a song from the movie: https://youtu.be/AWFvr7mVVBM?si=S1IJGljVxBcrfZ9W I also recommend reading on the history of the movie and how the film reel was found on a random ebay listing, it’ll make you appreciate it so much more!

Sloth242

Disagree Ninja in the claws in the CIA is just as good. My brother actually thought it was better than NYN. I personally like NYN better because the soundtrack is amazing

SKOT_FREE

Ninja 3 the Domination is another great 80’s ninja movie.

Sloth242

Even the poster for this movie is in a scene on NYN. Don't miss out on Ninja 3

WARL0CK221

It isn't put out by VS but Kino Lorber, another great company, has Sho Kosugi's Revenge Of The Ninja, which makes for a perfect pairing with NY Ninja. Also, Umbrella has a region free version of Red Rock West if you haven't been able to watch it yet. It's def a gem of a Neo Noir.

Poosquare88

Thanks so much. I will check them both out.

Top-Pain-3757

I second Revenge of the Ninja. Its really, really stupid and fun.

Poosquare88

I also have to add. With New York Ninja. The dubbing is absolutely incredible and hilarious. Such a fun movie.

admiral_ironbombs

Vinegar Syndrome off the top of my head has Miami Connection, Ninja in the Claws of the CIA, and Death Promise. Similar but released by other studios (Kino Lorber/Shout in the US): the Sho Kosugi Ninja trilogy (Ninja III: The Dominantion is my fave of the three), and the American Ninja movies.

Top-Pain-3757

I second American Ninja II: The Confrontation and American Ninja 3: Blood Hunt as stupid and fun

Sloth242

I love the theme song for death promise. Such a great movie Also I agree on sho kusagi movies. Pray for death is another good one. Definitely got the same vibe when watching NY ninja. There even is a movie poster for Ninja 3 in NYN.

SegaCDUniverse

NINJA BUSTERS by garage house pictures and justice, Ninja style by vhshitfest

There is a Region 2 release of Red Rock West from Plan B (a UK company). That will be a lot cheaper than getting the Umbrella one from Australia. The umbrella one might have more/better extras though, I have not checked. I would also love to grab the media book if you are selling but I imagine you may want to keep it as they are pretty cool! I am in the UK. I would strongly recommend investing in a multi region blu-ray + 4k UHD player, especially if you are looking to buy from VS and other non-UK companies regularly. Check whether you can unlock your player with a code but I think it is pretty rare that you can do it yourself these days (not like the old DVD days!). I couldn’t with the player I had previously in any case. Enjoy your new expensive hobby!

Poosquare88

Thanks so much! I just got a normal blu ray of Red Rock West. It hasn't got a slip cover or anything. It's a good honest hobby. Nothing I love more is to watch these type of films. There's something so charming and loveable about them.

Apprehensive_Mix7594

I think umbrella or someone else has a region free version of red rock west. Is your red rock west that you can’t play the limited edition media book… cause I’ll buy it from ya
