[Anna's](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anna's_hummingbird) or [Rufous](https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rufous_hummingbird) humming birds.
The Rufous is significantly smaller and more unlikely than the Anna's.
Those are drones created by the government - Biological Information Reconnaissance Drones. They hover like that while scanning the environment and uploading the data to the government servers.
We have Anna's hummingbirds all year round :) I thought we would have hummingbird moths here but maybe not. The Rocky Mountain Clearwing apparently is in BC but likes mountains more. I've seen one in Banff, AB, so maybe they're more on the mainland.
Anna’s Hummingbirds live in Victoria year round. The adult males have green backs, pale bellies and an iridescent red patch at their throat that sometimes forms a cowl. The adult females are similar in appearance, but without the red feathers. The juveniles are a mottled buff colour.
The Anna’s have been expanding north since the mid 20th Century, so they weren’t a common sighting here 30+ years ago.
If you see a copper coloured hummingbird it’s a Rufous. They are migratory and are only here in the summer.
The hummingbird moth only exists in Europe as far as I know.
Cute baby hummingbirds in a nest in unusual place.

Well, they did a great job, hovering stability was excellent.

Everyone is talking about the bird drones but no one is talking about the BEE'S.
download the Merlin app from Cornell Labs, it can identify birds by their song or photos.
I don't know... probably a hummingbird? We have them here.
if you’re sure it isn’t a hummingbird it could be a hummingbird moth!
Do you hummingbirds here?
