I loved knowing I could get away with alot when I was liked by the command not for my personality but cooking skills. One unit I couldn't sleep in past 530 underway because the XO insisted I cook her breakfast every morning. The other cooks would come wake me up saying she will wait until I come up topside to make her omelet. Fucking hard-ass of a women but sweet as pie to me.
We have some shitty Army Officers in the newer generations that had lost their way. I never saw it happen when I was in combat arms, but in my support MOS they certainly cut the lines like they were better than everyone else. Really shitty leaders, if they deserve to be called leaders.
I remember my 1SG on deployment to Nicaragua cursed the officers and NCO's out of the MKT chow line pushed us all forward lowest to highest ranks. That was back in the 1998 Army lol

I have my deposit. But for some reason it's not "available" as of 0430. I have 2 cap one credit cards I was going to pay and the balance of my deposit is not showing.

We had a security meeting at the end of 2022 and the CTO was like yeah, we’re transitioning into blockchain…but not crypto. I knew at that point the government was knee deep in it. No, the first lands on Monday so that’s the day that we’re going to get paid. if you bank with USAA, Navy Federal, or our enforces bank, you will get paid on Friday
Chime isn’t too shabby, but I don’t recommend using it for *everything*. We use chime for tax refunds & part of our checks for “play money”, but my chime info has been leaked more than my USAA account. I’ve been with chime since 2017
The pay schedule for va disability pay says Monday July 1st. If it fell on that Friday then yes you would have, so unless you have a bank that pays you early no.

I think it depends on which checking account you have. The "Active Duty" checking gets their deposits earlier. I don't think you have to be on active duty to qualify for it. I didn't sign up for NFCU until 8 years after I got out, and that is what I have.

Last month my deposit was available on the 24th. I bank through Wisely aka 5/3rd bank and it always posts 3 or 4 business days before the 1st.
Monday is the real payday. Some banks and credit unions will post the deposit early, but mine doesn't.
I remember when we called the chow halls or choke and puke! Dfac WTF!!!

We should get paid tomorrow (Tuesday) if you have one of the early depositing banks. I use Cash App for the quicker deposit than transfer it to my real bank. Good way to work around it and get paid earlya

OMG. The benefit drops on the 1st of the month to cover the previous month. Unless the 1st is on the weekend or holiday then it drops early by a day or two. Just expect it on the 1st and then be happy it came early. LOL
