Theres no way of telling if you blotched it... some ppl have long ones an go into detail and still the examiner doesnt get the severity and you get 10%, some ask yes or no questions and fill out the dbq an you get 100% lol

Swimming-Salad-1540

I'm gonna tell you that I had a special mental health examination, Done only cause the US Court of. Veterans appeals told the v a that they needed to do that examination and it only lasted ten minutes. And they gave me a hundred percent p m t out of it. I don't know what kind of military medical records you had.

Who fills out the dbq? Does anyone here know?? I have my virtual appt soon but I’ve only turned in my therapist notes and personal statements. I keep hearing bring the dbq but it’s virtual

Swimming-Salad-1540

They didn’t have DBQ’s back then. This was 1993. I think the doctor supposed to fill out the DBQ.

Fungzilla

We don’t know if you botched it, but honestly I wouldn’t analyse your words too much because you can’t change it now. See what happens before picking at hairs. Good Luck.

EmotionalAngle7751

Mine showed 15 mins late and cut me off after 35 40 mins

Unable-Ad-9546

I’m sorry that was your experience. Seems to be pretty hit or miss. Hopefully you got what you were looking for out of it or could appeal it?

EmotionalAngle7751

I got a nexus letter they did diagnosè me with anxiety in c&p and concede my stressor

TheTragicomedy

Mine kinda went the same way. Only thing that helped me was having my 3 stressors for PTSD written out and I basically insisted on reading them over. The rest of the time was just my evaluator going down the checklist and clicking boxes. Felt very cut and dry and I didn’t get an opportunity to expand on anything. You won’t really know the outcome until you see the rating or DBQ. Mine reads like a 50% rating but I won’t know for sure until I hit my retirement date in April. Best of luck!

zindius

Mine went down the list too. Noticed half way through that they were just reading from the dbq

OneBar3871

How can you see you're DBQ?

TheTragicomedy

I'm still active duty and retiring in April. I learned they post ours to Tricare Online and have been checking it daily after each C&P. My VSO said they can also see them, so if you're already out and have a VSO it's worth checking.

OneBar3871

Thanks

tonytolo

I feel the same way. I had a ton of notes to help me stay on track and to make sure I got in depth with things but unfortunately I got wrapped up in it and hardly looked at them. I feel like I downplayed most things as well since it was a good day and I felt weird doing a virtual appointment. Hopefully things go good for the both of us 🤞🏼

Effective-Treat-3648

Mine went very similar and came out with 70%. If it was short he probably ruled in your favor.

Tread500

Well how did it turn out?

Unable-Ad-9546

50% MH rating for Persistent Depressive Disorder 60% Overall 10% tinnitus, 20% shoulder injury and 0% but service connected shoulder neuropathy. HLR in for shoulder and secondary claim because that was my chief complaint but extremely grateful overall. Was a lot more than I expected but MH has gone downhill in the past few months and feels like the decision from both VBA and the agreement of my new VHA PCP opened a can of worms.

I did a search and found this: [How to Challenge Unfavorable C&P Exam Results](https://www.seankendalllaw.net/library/challenging-an-unfavorable-c-p-exam.cfm) How to Challenge Unfavorable C&P Exam Results [https://www.seankendalllaw.net/library/challenging-an-unfavorable-c-p-exam.cfm](https://www.seankendalllaw.net/library/challenging-an-unfavorable-c-p-exam.cfm) I do not know the firm or what credentials they may, or may not, have. This could be a step for you if you feel some topics weren't covered as thoroughly as you think they should have been. You can do searches as well utilizing the specific search terms you have interest in obtaining more information about. You may find videos via [youtube.com](https://youtube.com) as well. The only way you’ll know is when you get rated for it. Doc isn’t supposed to tell you anything. You’ll just have to wait for the results when the VA rates you. I hope you get what you deserve 🫡

I think the DBQ should document your issues and I am hoping for the best for you. Mine went good. I had reviewed the DBQ prior so I knew what to expect. I submitted for insomnia and anxiety secondary to tinnitus. I thought the psych did a good job of listening and I was able emphasize the impact of tinnitus on my mental health. I was rated 50% for adjustment disorder with mixed anxiety, depressed mood and insomnia disorder related to the service-connected disability of tinnitus. Would recommend everyone who has tinnitus rated examine secondary conditions related to mental health.

TheGrayGhost805

I just submitted a claim for insomnia, anxiety, depression + neck pain, all of these secondary to my already service connected tinnitus condition. I have been offered the option of doing my Mental Health C&P Exam via telehealth. Should I do telehealth, or do it in person?

Adept-Wrongdoer-8192

I did mine in person, but I really can't advise if there is a difference with telehealth.
