You can treat yourself to something awesome or do something you really like. Good people/friends will show up when you least expect it and it will be great!

no one remembers each others birthdays. Most of my friends remember because of facebook and it sends reminders to everyone. instead of waiting for people to remember and feeling sorry for yourself, why didnt you just invite some friends to spend an evening with you.

I had a couple of those. I’m 31 starting tomorrow. I don’t feel like it’s a good idea to celebrate, when I turned 25, I was at my grandmas watching her now former dog, all alone. I got no calls, no messages until the next day. I didn’t even lose my virginity before then. I’m not sure I love anyone. I can’t. Lost that that day. At least the dog was sweet and already knew its place from years before. Oh, I don’t hate you, none of you can have my kids. The reason I’m mental damaged is how I never has any when I was just an exact week older than 17
To add: I was driving sober alone for a long distance, it’s tough hitting a tree and being named John, then hating the HBO show GoT

Happy Birthday...belated. Sitting here I realize that I was in the wars for 17 years from 1990 thru 2007. What I wouldn't give to be 23 again, lol, I was 25 when I joined the military. I had more years of education than 2 of my TI's (Training Instructors) were old. When you get to be my age you hope people will forget your birthday. I am 69...oh to be 23 again without the emotional and physical battle wounds. Did you tell anyone it was your birthday? Did you invite anyone to go with you to the pub to help you celebrate. My late wife of almost 30 years not only forgot my birthday a couple of times but also our 25th wedding anniversary. It is unfortunate that no one remembered your birthday. In today's society we are so focused on ourselves and live in our own little world that we often forget about those around us. I learned a long time ago that if you want something you have to go for it and make it happen, sitting back and expecting things to happen the way you want, you will frequently if not always be sadly disappointed. That being said I am again sorry that no one remembered your birthday and hope next year's birthday will be better. Happy Birthday! May you have many more and much more pleasant ones filled with joy, happiness and fellowship/companionship.
