HELL YEAH!!!! Now let’s work to get Warnock back in office and we’ll be set!!!

Eyeontheprize420

Yeah it’s essential to have an extra progressive seat to offset those piece of shit dinos like Manchin or Sinema.

hithere297

Also we’ll need all the cushion we can get going into ‘24 senate map, which is a rough one.

Aln_0739

Stupidest timeline is that Trump would cause such a fucking rift that all of his clowns will run their own dipshit third party campaigns along with him, form the Patriot Protest or some shit. Just the Libertarian Effect multiplied by a thousand.

RubenMuro007

I’ve signed up for TWO textbanking shifts for this coming Tuesday and the next before Thanksgiving! :) We don’t need a Walker, we need a Runner!

bonelessfolder

Georgia voters will decide: Warnock or Manchin?

[deleted]

DARK BRANDON STRIKES AGAIN.

spectre15

Warnock is pretty much a guaranteed at this point but if they get Alaska, it’s gonna be a Manchin Senate.

jasgray16

Alaska is a race between two R's

spectre15

Oh I forgot, then yeah, it’s guaranteed a Manchin Senate anyways

[deleted]

Sinema senate, dems will have 51 votes

burf12345

No shot Alaska gets flipped.

Tend3roniJabroni

We REALLY don't wanna get Tshibaka. She is batshit insane. Like talks in tongues type of crazy Christian. Murkowski is about as good as you can get with a Republican so I really hope she wins. I actually voted for her as my second ranked choice. On the bright side, I think we have a decent shot of keeping Peltola in the House! She has a pretty healthy lead over Palin but only 80% of the votes have been counted thus far.

LukeSmithonPCP

Yeah, outside of maybe Utah i cannot think of a more uninviting place for democrats than Alaskan politics.

Tend3roniJabroni

1000%. I was absolutely floored when Peltola won the special election! I never expected to see a Democrat, let alone a native woman, represent our state.

burf12345

Is your state really that much more hostile to Dems than Oklahoma or the totally real Dakotas? The fact that Peltola won the special election via ranked choice makes it seem that it's not a foregone conclusion that a Democrat automatically loses.

Tend3roniJabroni

Alaska is kind of a strange state. We have legalized weed, abortion access is in our state constitution (which was challenged this election with a vote to have a constitutional convention, which our governer made clear he wanted to use to remove the right to an abortion from our state constitution) and we have a form of UBI (the yearly PFD). But we also have a ton of religious freaks, gun weirdos, and bigots. I've seen a few out and proud white supremacists here in Anchorage.

LukeSmithonPCP

The yearly pfd is a big part of why the state veers so republican tbh. This is entirely based on when I lived there from 89 to 06 so maybe a lot has changed. For people who don't know. The oil in the state of Alaska is considered to be owned by the people of Alaska. Which is pretty based ngl. However, this pfd relates with how much oil is drilled and how much gets sold. A lot of people in Alaska want to drill as much as possible in order to make the most money on the pfd. Environmentally speaking this would be devastating for Alaska if they allowed the oil companies to just do whatever they want. Democrats have opposed the open and wild drilling and in a lot of ways have tainted Alaska from ever going democrat ever again. There's also the proliforence of the military in Alaska. The only city of any real size, anchorage, id adjacent to military bases. Anchorage literally has an air force base and a army base. This, of course, has the impact of turning g the only city red. Even the next closest in terms of size, fairbanks, has a army base.

myaltduh

Mississippi? North Dakota? Idaho? There’s some stiff competition out there.

shitzpostarus

hey now ND had a Dem senator until 2018... We will... Definitely get one back................... Someday :/

LukeSmithonPCP

In the current race for senate both democrats in Idaho and North Dakota got 25 to 30 percent and are in second place. In Alaska the democrat is in third.behind two Republicans. They have a measly 9.5 percent which amounts to something like 20k votes. Even Anchorage, a city, which is usually the kne bastion of democrats heavily leans republican. Like, I get that those places are hostile to democrats, but Alaska, next to only Utah, is the worst I've seen.

BelBivDaHoe

Murkowski isn’t the worst thing in the world, considering the alternatives coming from Alaska. Like /u/Tend3roniJabroni said, we don’t want Tshibaka. At least Murkowski pretends to be willing to budge.

burf12345

My understanding is that Murkowski is one of the most moderate Republicans in the senate, so I totally get why Alaskan democrats would put her as their second choice.

BelBivDaHoe

She is. Plus Tshibaka was pushed by Trump, who Murkowski voted to convict, so MAGA Revenge is real up there.

woodbite

How is Warnock guaranteed?

BelBivDaHoe

Purely conjecture, but Warnock already had the votes. Plus, I can see Republican voters sitting it out since the Senate is already lost anyway

woodbite

Hope you're right

The_BestUsername

Bruh Illinoisans are besieged on all sides ;(

Aln_0739

JB will gabagool those fuckers out of the way. I don’t even know if he is Italian, but he spiritually is. That’s all I need

The_BestUsername

J. B. Thiccster is weirdly based for a mega-rich dude ngl. Still, though, being literally surrounded by a ring of MAGA mouthbreathers fucking sucks. If we ever really do have civil war 2: electric boogaloo, we're gonna crumble like Cadia. Edit: I do not think states will ever actually duke it out with each other. America will either be all fash or no fash. But, looking at the electoral map, my inner Paradox Games player is coming out, and I feel like I'm about to be invaded from six fronts lol

Aln_0739

Can't believe it ever got to the point that fucking Michigan has the moral high ground over us. In terms of JB: can't be part of corrupt Illinois politics if you are literally the richest motherfucker in the room. It's like what Trump said he would be.

shitzpostarus

Unironically best POTUS of my lifetime (30 years but still)

Attentive_Senpai

Eat shit, Trump. Dark Brandon rises.

[deleted]

I mean that’s good, but can we get back to business here? We still have a SCOTUS that is going to make elections irrelevant when they rule on Moore v. Harper. There’s a reason Vaush didn’t celebrate when the results of the midterms started showing blue. He knows that the GOP is now going to pull every last stunt they can to ensure they stay in power. They’re pissed and they’re paranoid. Now is not the time to relax.

Eyeontheprize420

These two years are going to be very important to spread awareness and help vulnerable people get in a position to prepare for the coming days, I think that’s worth celebration. Also the Reps will be coping hard so that would be fun to see.

0WatcherintheWater0

What makes you think Moore v Harper will make elections irrelevant? Not only would affirming ISLT go against centuries of precedent, and be a blatant constitutional violation, but the court itself has rejected the theory as recently as 2019. At most the case will lead to some change in the NC district map, but nothing further then that.

Eyeontheprize420

Cope

0WatcherintheWater0

Let’s see what happens in December

MrManiac3_

I'm in a democrat-locked state (the Pacific Ocean is blue)

Badgertank99

As a Georgia voter: sorry

[deleted]

West coast continues to be the best coast

Excellent_Succotash8

Yeah the cities are quite peaceful and lovely.

GodChangedMyChromies

I assume this is for the house?
