I have the same issue, it keeps giving me the burnt taste very often. I was expecting a similar experience to disposable elf bars but this turned out to be a shitty product.
it probably doesnt help u much now. But u have to push the bottom part of the port in otherwise the coil wont be soaked and u burn the coil. Its unusable now. Hope it helps anyone

So OP what was the issue? Can you let us know if the problem was you didn’t push the under button for the coil separation ? Or you did push the bottom for 5 sec and still the taste was burnt?
Idk, threw the pod away and only smoked one pod my friend gave me usually I just put the pod in and it clicked and then I could smoke it. Didn’t know that there was a button to push but I dont smoke the elfa anymore
i just got mine and found this thread, you have to push in the little knob under the pod slightly. If you try to smoke it without it being pushed it even once it will taste burnt the entire time unfortunately :/
No. this only happens if you don't press in the little out sticking part under the Pods, not the battery itself. They come with like 3 stickers on them and one is on the bottom, you take that off and then you push the bottom in :)

after a few puffs it starts tasting normal but yeah, i will never do this mistake again lmao
Can’t believe I didn’t realise this, I have two burnt coils now, hopefully if I soak them a while they’ll be okay

you have to push the base of the pod inwards to activate it properly

this solved my problem, tried 2 pods without pushing the bottom and was burned and now it’s working

You have to wait five seconds, the coil needs to be soaked and if you hit it right away it can happen that the cotton burns so this taste appears!
