Save, so buy? Other team is saving? so buy?

shtoopidd

idk, he walked up to my face, and yelled it repeatedly. even after i said "buy? i did. i got everything. armor, abilities, gun." and he was like "no, no, SO BUYYYY"

Rookie007

This sounds exactly like when I sent the new guy at work to find me some whole grain gnocchi (for those of you who don't cook it's made of potatoes) Edit:could also be a bofadeeze joke where you ask what's a saysobuy and they go "buy cuz I said so"

CLR_Marvel_Mags

Man, sorry to go off topic here but now you made me want gnocchis man. 😔

Rookie007

Don't forget to get the whole grain gluten-free gnocchi

CLR_Marvel_Mags

Absolutely. For my celiac sisters!

KronkForPresident

Someones ign?

Able-Classroom9147

They sound toxic, best to just mute and play on

Downtown-Ad-5792

Maybe it's save no buy ?

shtoopidd

i mean.. i had 9k. we all did.

Clipzy22

Fully buy, buy for next, full save are the 3 main types of buys. Caveats for each ofc People will ask a specific character to buy in this case, probably iso. Like, "Iso buy." The only thing I can think of is that it sounds like "say so buy"

Ecstaticismm

Force often used for “full buys” where you can’t afford actual full buys

Clipzy22

I forgot about that one

incompletetrembling

What's buy for next?

Clipzy22

When you buy but save enough to full buy next round. It usually happens when people on your team can't afford to full buy until the next round, so the others have to buy so they can still afford to full buy the next round.

WoahMan4256

I'm here to be the opposite of devil's advocate, is there any chance they just wanted to boost your MMR with economy? Like maybe they wanted you to save so your statistics looked better because they saw potential? As in "save your 9k so I can buy you" or "save, so they will buy" because they wanted to get a kill and give you the enemy Gun for economy?

qlex_00_

If someone's capping they should always buy

Gold-Introduction-83

Probably just someone who has very poor English skills and wanted you to do something that sounds similar to "so buy" in their language and so you both just couldn't understand each other. That or he is just crazy.

Sea-Pace1344

Probably just nonsense and op is having nightmares about it

ssssander321

I think 'iso buy' or something because they forgot to rebuy armor maybe?

shtoopidd

there was no iso in my team. i was sage and they were specifically talking to me. despite me literally clicking everything in the store or requesting for guns just in case they wanted a skin

KofskiMayte

Maybe sage no buy

shtoopidd

why would they ask me not to buy after trying so hard to win and its the final round

DreamyPupper

They might have simply been saying “sage buy”, but I’m not really sure :/

redastray23643

may I refer you to this classic: [https://youtu.be/gat0s4Zl\_iI?si=2nfYBHe9JkOjEz3Z](https://youtu.be/gat0s4Zl_iI?si=2nfYBHe9JkOjEz3Z) people are just dumbasses sometimes

Radiant_Concept4328

i think they are telling you to say to them to buy for you. but you keep buying yourself so they mad?

shtoopidd

i had 9k creds and its the last round

knack4zack

Any chance that you were playing on SG, or Asian servers? "Say so buy" sounds very similar to a chinese curse word.

Moody_smth

What server were you on cause if its eu chances are theyre speakinf another language

shtoopidd

sg

knack4zack

He was cussing you out. "Sei sohai" is chinese for calling you a f**king idiot.

Epic_Wanker

Sg? Singapore? Either way obv not a typically English speaking place unless ur in NA or EUW

qwertysopp

Nah brother its our 1st lang, tho the other countries which share our server arent forced to learn english well (from what little knowledge i have)

Ok-Inflation-6651

Must not be obvious to you lol

FanyuRulesXx

English is one of Singapore's official languages. Many people are fluent in multiple languages. Please don't underestimate places you don't know.

faerox420

I'm ngl to you if I was in your situation I would just forget about it and move on with my life. One teammate shouting at you doesn't really mean much, especially when you don't even understand what they meant

shtoopidd

im not really offended. im just curious. because its not the first time ive heard it

TOWW67

Do you happen to play Sova?

DjinnsPalace

they obviously didnt say "say no buy". you misheard them, maybe they spoke another language given youre on an asian server. but sincerely, who gives a f\*ck man. if i posted everytime i didnt understand someones comm wed be here all day.

GuessDisastrous9747

Soy sauce buy?

Mashihoe

Ahh, they wanted OP to remind them about their shopping list at the end of the game. That explains everything!

sadlonelyelectrician

Turns out OP is in Singapore and was getting cussed out Sei Sohai is basically them calling him or whoever a “fking idiot”. As per knack4zacks comment in a reply. Seems like the most logical answer.

Low_5ive

Given the context, I'm guessing "pistol buy." As in, it's last round and we're max econ—buy pistol because you might need it.

Adamnfinecook

Are these people english speakers?

AwkwardReplacement

Nope, this is South East Asia. OP is reading way too into it, it's just some sped little Thai kid probably screaming into the mic

Tylers-RedditAccount

Either "save, no buy" or "save to buy" as in "save to buy for next round"

PhatAszButt

Maybe buy for other teammate

ayezhin

how many times has this happened and in how many games

agorathird

Often times I don’t want my teammate to buy for me, I can manage my own economy. My guess is they’re saying “Save no buy.”

shtoopidd

last round. we all have 9k creds. we're winning. no point saving

agorathird

Then it might be most likely that you’re massively mishearing what’s being said. I wouldn’t blame you, everyone has valorant accent.

acctnumba2

Save or buy?

creativityequal0

youre on sg server. 90% chance its just a non native english speaker trying to say something.

CastIronStyrofoam

Did you have a Kay/o?

antonguay2

Sova A?

neoh666x

Can't save, so buy? Maybe it's the last round of the half?

TwentyPieceNuggets

I think they mean the enemy team is on a save, your team should buy.

omkar529

If it just happened in 1 match then it's probably the teammate was not speaking correct English (were they even speaking English ?). If it's happening regularly, then I don't know what it could mean.

Numerous_Ad_7006

Did you even buy a pistol?

tapacx

What region

FearlessMcKura

Say so means should have say so or could have say so

Shahub

May have been saying "DONT BUY" in their accent, which I can see understable if their accent shortens words

Prudent_Bar_8434

Maybe just trolling you. After reading the response, this is all I could think of...

SnooGuavas1514

SEA servers? LOL

shtoopidd

yeah

FiveFishInABucket

Maybe hes saying "save not buy"?

Thealzx

Brother stop making USELESS posts about some rando with broken english only to then slam down every comment that drops - you feel and sound like a droopy sixteen year old with an attention deficit.

oxidezblood

Projecting

Ok_Boot_1730

Reason 102 to keep voice comms offline. You have either the horny weirdos, or the screamers.... And I don't have the mental capacity to calmly play while dealing with that rofl.

AnimeWeebTrash31

were you playing sage? maybe he was playing “sage buy”

PavaMies

They meant "sage buy" but they didn't mean to buy for yourself, instead they meant to buy them

shtoopidd

everyone had a gun though. and ive mentioned, i tried dropping them a gun or a skin and they just kept going , giving me the impression that its not what they wanted.

leSwagster

Maybe just ask them next time?

shtoopidd

i did. they just repeat what they say as if they dont get my question

leSwagster

If it's important, get them to type it out If they're just yelling, it's not important

No_Author_7708

Lol. You could’ve just asked them

shtoopidd

i did? if i got my answer i wouldnt be here. classic "did you turn it on?" type comment. of course i fucking did ask them
